Nestled off the road surrounded by trees, etc., this home offers alot of privacy and offers lovely views. The home itself was well equiped, clean, and and nicely decorated. The screened in porch as well as the two other open decks were furnished with picnic tables, a porch swing and plenty of deck furniture. The outside shower had a separate dressing area. Although we did not have children with us, the home is very child friendly with stair gates, outlet covers, toys (beach and non-beach), high chair, etc. We also enjoyed feeding the birds. The only negative was the poor cell phone reception and computer access, this however, is not a fault of the home itself.

Cottage was excellant in every respect with every amenity covered.We had a wonderful week.In over 20 years dealing with Southern Shores,our family has never had a bad rental experience with them.Thank you for making our vacation great!

We stayed in Ducked Away for the week of July 18-25, 2009. We had a great time. The home was very clean and well stocked with everything. It was only a short walk to the beach and the location was just right. We hope to be back next summer.

Want a stay filled with fun and relaxing all in one?
This is the house. It is family friendly with child gates all over. If you have young children, you cannot ask for a better rental. It was kid-safe and we loved it.
The house is close to the beach but because we drug so much "stuff" to the beach, we drove a truck down the short stretch. This development is one of the best because it has an area to park your vehicle at the beach.
The kitchen was well equipped. We took a crockpot with and put food in the crockpot in the morning. Spent the day on the beach and when we returned, supper was ready. Yeah!
The dining room table was big and accomodated the family. How nice it was to eat supper at the house because of the children.
The bike path in the developement took you into town and was nice for some of the adults to ride in the morning prior to breakfast. Getting a newspaper in town was a plus for the adults.
Our week was all sun and fun EVERYDAY!
Beach fishing after supper was the highlight for the men and children. Yes, they caught some.
We recommend this house to all families!
