Fredericksburg, VAWonderful Stay At Sea Vista - Worth a Visit
Left on 09/30/2009 for a stay in September 2009
I am happy to be able to write about our experience at Sea Vista as looking through the reviews on trip advisor helped us with booking this particular home.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time. The owners truly have thought of everything.....toys for little kids, movies for rainy days (which hopefully there aren't too many of) pool table, air hockey, checkers table, t.v. with vcr/dvd player in every room, books. There is a volleyball game area with sand and a basketball hoop. There are t.v.s in every room.
The kitchen is fully stocked with equipment and utensils for your use. There is a fridge, water filter, separate icemaker (which is great for trips to the beach), washer/dryer. The bathrooms have all been updated with new fixtures, granite counters, stonework in the shower stalls.
Our teenagers enjoyed the game room downstairs and the t.v. with surround sound. Our younger kids loved the swimming pool. There are two gas grills by the pool with granite tops. Toys for the pool and beach equipment for your use.
We loved the different levels of decks and the curved staircase leading to the little deck up by the rooftop where we would sit at night listen to the sound of the waves and look at the stars.
The house is on a corner lot but not busy with traffic, it is a short walk to the beach and then in the other direction are some little shops which are nice to visit.
We really enjoyed staying at this home. It was a wonderful experience for our family.
We took the dolphin tour, went kayaking on the sound, went to Corolla Beach to see the Mustangs, bought a kite at Kitty Hawk kites and had fun with that and enjoyed a lot of time on the beach. It only rained one day and we enjoyed the movies provided.
We loved that there were no bees or mosquitoes, which we have no shortage of in VA.
I don't think there was anything that we disliked at all with our visit to Duck and Sea Vista. -
SeaVistaRenter
Richmond, VirginiaSea Vista is a great Duck house with all the amenities
Left on 08/27/2009 for a stay in August 2009
This was our 2nd year staying at Sea Vista and it was just as pleasant as the 1st. The house is perfect for our family of 3-4 adults and 4-5 children with room to spare, and has all the amenities that the adults and kids like to keep us happy and entertained throughout the week. The location is pefect: walking distance from both the beach as well as lots of great shops, and far enough off Route 12 so I feel good letting the kids ride their bikes around the neighborhood unsupervised without worry about fast-moving cars.
Our only problem with the location is that there are lots of houses per foot of beach because the island is wide here, which means the beach is a bit more crowded than I like compared with the more northern beach areas of Duck. Of course our teenager likes it for just that reason! But overall we love this house and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable well-stocked house.

Best part was short walk to the beach and the shops at Duck. We enjoyed being able to walk and bike to some of our favorite stores. The keyless entry was very convenient, and we loved having a gas and charcoal barbecue. It was nice to have a choice! The house has very roomy, comfortable bedrooms, but we were disappointed that the upstairs living space was so small for a house with 6 bedrooms.

The Sea Vista allowed our entire family (14)to sleep comfortably and the game room entertained the adults and children. The pool and hot tub was great. We loved the speakers for the pool and the outside bathroom was a lifesaver. It was a comfortable walk to the beach and to the shops at Duck.

This house had all the amentities you would want for a bargain price. A small family or a big family will feel right at home in Sea Vista. The views from the top deck were unbelievable. You are so close to the beach and the shops at Duck. Sea Vista has big bedrooms and spectacular bathrooms. The kitchen was quite modern with a dining table that could fit a big family. With pool side outdoor speakers and a nice gas/charcoal grill, Sea Vista will make your vacation memorable.

Great location in Duck, within easy walking distance halfway between the sound and the ocean. Clean, spacious layout just large enough with all the necessary amenities and everything worked. Wonderful light all day on the upper level with a peek-a-boo ocean view, terrific for morning coffee or use the breakfast alcove off the kitchen in inclement weather. Also affords a good view of the pool for keeping an eye on the kids. Master suite on upper level provides privacy for parents, while the large bedrooms on the 2nd level enjoy their own balconies. Ground level game room isolates the noise and helps everone spreadout. Large pool and hot tub are fenced-in providing privacy with plenty of lounges for relaxing and outdoor speakers adding to the enjoyment. Only, somewhat minor criticism - we mostly went out for dinner: the stainless steel outdoor barbecue by the pool was not that clean. Would definitely consider again.

This house is a great place for a big family to have a great vacation. Lots of things for everyone to do. Close walk to the beach and shops. We especially enjoyed having the outside speakers to the stereo so we could have music at the pool. Lots of space, places to be and fun!!
