This two bedroom property is a traditional terraced cottage and is able to sleep up to four people. This traditional, terraced cottage in Birnieknowes is located in a small rural hamlet, six miles from Dunbar in southern Scotland. Set in an “L” shaped terrace, the cottage retains a number of period features and offers cosy, comfortable accommodation with views of the sea. Guests can relax in the enclosed terrace, or enjoy a cup of something warm by the living room fire. With two bedrooms – one double and one twin – the cottage is able to sleep up to four people making it an ideal spot for a family vacation.

All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

My partner, myself and two dogs stayed at this cottage for 1 week in mid winter, and it was fantastic. The owners, Mr and Mrs Scott are very obviously dog friendly people and take care to include them in your stay by providing towels and a treat for each dog upon arrival. The cottage itself if easily big enough for all four of us. I have stayed in places in the past that stipulated a maximum occupancy of 4 people where in fact it was not really big enough for two. However, this is not the case here, four people and two dogs could live in the space provided easily. It was very very clean and all the amenities that you could need are present. The area is spectacular with a walk to the local beach that is awesome and more beautiful areas to explore than we could possibly fit into one week. All of this with out even mentioning Dunbar, North Bewick, Aberlady, Gullane of which all are very beautiful and need more exploration. Then there is Edinburgh only 30 mins away. Unfortunately we only managed to get there for one day and that was spent walking up aurther'sSeat and having some wonderful food at the Regent.
I would reccommend both the cottage and the area to anyone who would listen. -

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Lammermuir Cottage with my two dogs. I was looking for a quiet retreat, but with so much to see and do, even in November, I ended up being pretty busy! It was a fantastic location - loads of great walks, beaches, castles, parkland and woodland around to explore within easy reach, and lots of places were dog friendly. I was lucky enough to have fabulous weather but had I not, the cottage was so cosy I would have probably been happy to stay in by the roaring fire. The owners had gone to a lot of effort to make us feel welcome - the dogs were even left their own towels and treats. The dogs loved it, I loved it - the perfect winter get away!

Easy acces to Beach, 40 min to Edinbourgh. Close to supermarket, pub and easy to find "local"castles and other activities.
My Dogs also enjoyed sunny days on the Beach and long walks around Dunbar.
We got welcome treats for our dogs. Was very frendly.
Lammemur cottage is a very frendly, homly and clean opportunity for people who likes comfy holiday. -

The owners of this cottage where waiting for us,
explained local facilities, things in the cottage
and the local area. There was a fire waiting and
ready, fresh clean bedding and towels and the
cottage was spotlessly clean.
The cottage was stocked with dvds, books and
leaflets of things to do and see in the area, as
well as lots of kitchen equipment for creating
lovely home cooked meals.
It is also only around half an hour for Edinburgh
city centre, with very good road connections to
just about everywhere else.
Would definitely stay here again, lovely and
peaceful and great for walkers and our dogs also.
Highly recommended for a nice quiet holiday.
