StranraerExcellent accommodation with a wide variety of amenities nearby.
Left on 04/24/2013 for a stay in April 2013
The accommodation was excellent and the proprietor was very helpful and friendly. There were eight adults and three children in our party and there was plenty of room for all of us to find our own space if needed. There were three public rooms and a large kitchen as well as a large bedroom with its own sitting area! The house was fully equipped extremely comfortable and furnished to a high standard. The central heating was very efficient and a wood burning was also available but we didn't need it. There was a large child friendly garden with garden furniture available for sunny weather.
The house was only 10 minutes from Dundee by car, but was in the middle of the country. The directions given to the house were very easy to follow . We found lots of child friendly places to visit using the leaflets in the house and the Mum's managed an afternoon at the shops while the Dad's took the children to the swimming pool. There are a lot of museums, historic houses, activity centres, play parks, soft play centres and a wildlife park all in Dundee itself. Perth, Stirling and even aberdeen are all within a reasonable distance giving even more choice of activities.
On our last night after dinner we had a sing song in the large hall where there was a piano, and the children loved to hear all the old party songs and do the actions. It was a good ending to a super holiday and I would certainly recommend this house to anyone wishing a quiet location that is near to a wide variety of amenities. -

We as a large group meet every year and pick a large holiday home in Scotland for a long wkend wkend. There are a lot of holiday rentals that are just that, an income for the owner and the offer of make do accomodation, not so at Lonforgan. Great accomodation supported by owners who take pride in their property and who go out of their way to make sure everything that you would need is on hand. A house you would readily agree to return to. Full marks.

Camberley, UKA home away from home.
Left on 03/07/2013 for a stay in February 2013
We were blessed with finding this property to rent that had everything you needed away from home. This property was perfect for my family of 5 and had enough room if you wanted to add another 5. It was a place that one could relax and yet be close enough to Dundee or St. Andrews if you chose to take in the sites or other activities. It was a place that I would highly recommend to anyone. The other bonus was that the owner was close by and willing to help out if needed. Thank you for an enjoyable relaxing week.

HawickFabulous New Year
Left on 01/18/2013 for a stay in December 2012
9 adults stayed over New Year. House lovely & decorated with Xmas Tree and decorations. Very festive and a hamper was left which was a nice touch. Rooms were all tastefully decorated and house lovely & warm and plenty of hot water. Was met by the owner who showed us round & explained how everything worked. House was set within a small hamlet within walking distance of 2 villages (Inchture & Invergowrie) which had pub/hotel where you could get nice meal & drinks. Overall had a lovely holiday with no negatives.

We arrived and were delighted with the care and attention which had been given to the house. The rooms were all beautifully set up,lovely soft white towels and bed linen The kitchen was very large and again well equipped for our large party.Large garden for the children.
The situation of this house is perfect as it is quiet and peaceful but within easy reach of the attractions of Dundee,Perth and the East Neuk of Fife.It was useful also as the owners were close at hand should we have needed their help. The great amount of space in the house was great for the kids and adults alike. We all agreed that we would use this holiday home again. -

Bungalow is very well appointed, beds very comfortable, kitchen superb, and beautiful views over garden and countryside from all rooms. Situated at end of a no-through road, quiet but easy access to Dundee (6 miles) and coast as well as Scottish interior. Small village nearby, wide range of amenities and cultural activities in Dundee. Warm welcome from owner who lives next door - nothing was too much trouble (if help is needed), and super welcome pack provided, as well as wide range of games and books.
