My family and I were traveling from africa for a family wedding in Palm Harbor. We found this place online and felt it would be perfect to recover from jet lag after the long journey and to be our home base during a crazy week in the us. The biggest selling point was the two bedrooms so our daughter could have her own quiet space to sleep.
Of all of the lodging experiences I have had anywhere in the world, this has to rank near the top. We stayed in “The Helm.” The place was spotless and well furnished. A pack and play and a high chair were provided along with a fan for white noise. The caretaker has taken great care to provide for every need including snorkel gear, kayaks, bikes, sand toys and fishing gear. The fishing was the highlight for me. Never caught anything bigger than my hand but found it so relaxing to stand out in the breeze casting a line.
There is a McDonald's, local seafood dive and a grocery store nearby (very short drive or 15-20 minutes walk). There is no pool but Honeymoon Island beach is about a 5 minute drive and is wonderful. We visited the beach a few times and loved it. We also took the ferry to Caladesi Island for a day. At the time of our visit, Nautical Landings had a free pass to Honeymoon Island but we learned the park will not be issuing these in the future. Nautical Landings is very quiet and you can park right out in front. The balcony has an amazing view.
I intended to write a long review extolling the virtues of this place shortly after our visit but life got too busy. I do not often give 5 stars but this place certainly earned them all. I don't usually leave reviews, but the owners here definitely deserve to get the positive feedback.
Within five minutes of arriving at Nautical Landings, all of our stress after a busy year at work instantly disappeared. It's in such an amazing location and we never got tired of sitting on the end of the dock watching the wildlife (dolphins, birds, manatees, leaping fish etc).
We loved using the kayaks and went out on them every day - especially when dolphins came and swam near us. We ran out of time and so didn't get to fish or use the bikes, but everything was there as advertised and all looked great quality.
The property (we stayed in the Port Bow) was extremely well looked after and excellently stocked so we didn't have to buy any washing up liquid, toilet paper, kitchen towels etc. The owners take a lot of pride in the place and it really shows. They were often at the wider property keeping things tidy and making improvements.
From making the initial enquiry to when we left, they were fantastic with everything. For example, coming from the UK it isn't always easy to book private places in the us without paying lots of fees. However, we paid a small deposit by PayPal and then could pay the rest upon arrival - perfect for us.
Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer...but we will be back.

We planned our vacation this year to include fishing and fishing we did! My husband and I stayed with our son, daughter and son-in-law and small dog and we had the best time. We couldn't have asked for a better condo. Everything inside was ideal and fit our needs completely. We wished we had planned to stay longer. The view was fantastic, the dock was great, fishing was too much fun. The bikes were great to have available, the kids had several evening rides. Great Place, would definitely stay again. Thanks for being pet friendly. Wish the parking was a bit wider, but understand space is limited. :)

Wow!!! What an excellent place to stay! The condo is squeaky clean and beautifully furnished! My son rented the port bow two years ago and came back this year!! We decided to rent the starboard bow right next door!!! We had a wonderful time cooking out and eating together and spending the evenings on the dock!!! The Honeymoon Island pass was a treat and the island is beautiful and so close. There are so many great amenities! Terri and Chuck are wonderful people!!! Thanks so much for a fantastic week!!!

We have stayed at Nautical Landings three different times in the last three years and have found it to be our best experience with Vrbo on the Gulf. The location is great and the amenities are wonderful, but the owners/hosts are who make this place a "must return" experience. Gracious/Competent/ Thoughtful/ describe the owners. They make your stay memorable!

We had a great vacation based in nautical Lamdings in large part due to the fully outfitted unit. Very clean. Lovely people. Centrally located, we biked to the State Park to see the eagles several times. We also enjoyed biking into Dunedin to walk around, have lunch, coffee, etc. The kayak set up is great and we paddled our way to an island one morning. So nice!

This was our first long term winter rental since I retired. We "took a chance" on Nautical Landings since we were used to vacationing at 4 and 5 diamond resorts and had never done a condo rental from owners. Bottom line is that we were thrilled by our condo at Nautical Landings. The condo was fresh, clean, fully equiped, had a view to die for, and the owners (and other regular renter) were a delight. Highly recommended.

Everything from making the reservation through to our final departure was super easy, stress-free and enjoyable. Kelly and Terrie were the perfect tag-team. They made sure I had everything I needed and all my questions answered. It is clear they really love what they do and their goal is to share their hospitality and love of Dunedin and surrounding area. My family and friends were welcomed into their home rather than treated as a guest there to fill an empty room. There were 6 of us staying in the Helm. It is spacious and beautifully decorated. I wish I had that kitchen in my house! The kids loved the Hdtv with Netflix and Internet access. Once they got outside; however, they forgot about the electronics until nightfall. We went kayaking, swimming, fishing, strolling and shelling on the beach. I think the best part of it all was the people - other guests, couples from the UK and another from Illinois. It was great to meet and get to know everyone. At night we would gather on the dock, joined by Terrie and her husband, to share stories and just enjoy the atmosphere. Whether you are looking for a private, secluded, hide-away or are more interested in an adventure, exploring nature, or family fun, this location is right where you need it to be. We will definitely be back!

We stayed at Nautical Landings while visiting friends in the area, it was absolutely perfect. The condo was great, with fantastic views (we even saw dolphins swimming around the jetty). It was well equipped, both inside the condo and outside where kayaks, bikes etc are all provided. The owners were very helpful and friendly and the condo was great value. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

My husband and I stayed at Nautical Landings for our honeymoon and it was just perfect ! It was everything we wanted ;close to home so we didn't have to drive far, close to the beach , right on the water , beautiful views of the sunset and the dolphins in the causeway and great food in the area. W especially enjoyed the vacation rental over a hotel because of the great remodeled kitchen. We stayed in the Helm the newly remodeled condo and it far exceeded our expectations. Terry the co-owner was wonderful. She showed us around the first morning we were there and even asked us if we wanted to go snorkeling when we said yes she went out and got new snorkeling equipment which is available for all guest. We loved the kayaks and the ease of use of all the amenities. If you are looking for a family getaway or a relaxing vacation for two I would highly suggest Nautical Landings. You will not be disappointed !

We have stayed at other locations in Dunedin but this is one of our favorites. The Owners, Kelly were so helpful to us. They were always available if we needed them. The condo was so clean and decorated beautifully. We appreciated a well stocked kitchen, everything you could need. These owners really take pride of ownership and making sure their guests are happy. Location was perfect. Very quiet but was with in walking distance of shopping, restaurants and most importantly Honeymoon Island. The people that we dealt with there were fantastic. Exceptionally clean. Other guests that were staying there were excellent people to be around. Only complaints are the toilet was very small. Very uncomfortable for some one that is tall and/or over weight. Could put in at least a queen size bed in the master bedroom. King size would be better. Would be nice if there was a boat for the guests to use. Other than that had a great time. If visiting Dunedin in the future would hope to stay there again. But a boat would be the icing on the
cake. -

This place is just awesome. The view of the gulf, the interior of the condo, the kayaks, bicycles everythign added to the wonderful experience !! The property was expected to be very nice but far exceeded it with it's comfort, convenience, and amenities. I went down for a golf tournament but it's a property that I would return to for leisure time on the Gulf. Ownership is delightful and attentive.

Nautical Landings was the perfect venue for a relaxing vacation. The benefits of having kayaks, bikes, and fishing equipment on site, were a huge plus. Everyone in the family enjoyed the stay, and we are hoping to visit again soon. The condo is actually larger than it looks in the photos. Our family of 5 found it very comfortable, clean and well kept.

My husband and I stayed at this condo for our 19th anniversary. We were greeted with wine, a card and roses. Such a thoughtful touch. The condo was very clean and quiet. We loved the view, fishing and free kayaks.
The condo is a quick drive to many tourist locations if you desire.
The hosts were very attentive and friendly. A++ rating all around. We cannot wait to return for another vacation there in the Spring.

The Port Bow was the best vacation rental that we have ever rented. The condo was very clean and absolutely beautiful. We loved the dock in the back, the fishing was great! The honey moon island pass was a great addition to the rental, we used it almost every day. The week that we stayed there was beautiful, it was sunny every day and only rained one day. We are considering coming and staying at the Port Bow for 2 weeks next year! Did i mention the fishing? Awesome!!

My Husband, my 10 year old, my 2 year old and myself enjoyed a week long stay at Nautical Landings, and loved every minute! We would highly recommend staying longer if you can!
We saw dolphins off the pier within minutes of checking in, nightly fishing, and even saw a manatee!
On site Laundry made it easy to pack light, and go home with clean clothes!!
We can't wait to go back again soon!

We recently spent a week in a Nautical Landings condo and everything was great! The condo looked exactly as pictured and was very clean. Everything we needed was provided and even the dishes and glasses were a matched set which is rare in a rental. The staff was great--we felt more like family than renters! This is a great location for my family of 4. Kelly and Terri were very helpful allowing us to check in very late on the day of our arrival. I had to work part of the week but the family really enjoyed the location having access to the sound and the Pinellas Trail. We lived in the area for a couple years and love it here. The condo was very clean. It was conveniently located to stores and a nearby state park. We especially liked being able to fish off the deck and to kayak in the bay. It is a really nice bonus that fishing gear and kayaks are provided. The owners were very nice and went out of their way to insure that we were having a pleasant stay. I would definitely stay here again if we decide to vacation in the Tampa area.

Terri was there to greet us as we arrived and help us discover the wonderful apartment. Everything we could possible need, and more - comfortable and super clean. Felt totally relaxed within an hour of being there - so good in fact we negotiated staying an extra couple of days, just didn't want to leave. Visited Honeymoon Island, Dunedin Town, Tarpon Springs and beyond, but most of all enjoyed Nautical Landings, eating outside on the patio and, sitting out on the deck into the evening, sipping a cold beer and willing the fish to bite.

The condo was amazing! Myself and 4 girlfriends loved the accomodations and location. Our only complaint is that we could not stay longer. The condo is fully stocked and gorgeous. We ate on the balcony or at the end of the dock every day. The light on the ocean floor was awesome we watched the fish swim around for hours. There were other guests fishing right off the dock.
We enjoyed taking the bikes and kayaks out. We kayaked out to the first break island and got to see 2 dolphins as they swam around us. The condo is very close to Honeymoon Island for a beach and hiking. But we also ventured to the Tarpon Springs to the sponge docks and to Clearwater where we went fishing with a charter boat.
The owners are the best and are very helpful. You can't go wrong with Nautical Landing. -

We were very happy with the Starboard Bow, and Chuck and Terri were very accomodating to our needs during our stay. The location is excellent and the view of the bay is spectacular. Honeymoon Island and the Pinellas trail are easily accessable and there are many choices for golf within a short drive.

We enjoyed the view, the location was convient to everything, but quiet and hardly no traffice on the street. The State Park Pass is an added bonus. We knew that someone was always close by if we needed anything. This stay was the second year for us and we are already looking forward to 2011 stay . Great place

We rented this condo for the bikes, ocean and kaykas, it was so cold we were not able to spend time on the balconey, couldn't use the kaykas but did use the bikes. They were a little rusty but worked fine...Nice place to stay.

We were very disappointed with the temperatures, too! It was the coldest winter people had experienced in 25 years. Brrr! If the weather had been as warm as it typically is, I'm sure you would have had a better time. =) Hopefully, the interior amenities made up for it a little bit.

We travelled to Florida for our daughter's wedding & Nautical Landings was recommended by a friend. We absolutely loved our experience from beginning to end. Check in was wonderful, the condo was beyond clean. We had our grandbaby staying with us & Kelly made certain the pack n play was available for our use along with the highchair. The condo was very spacious & we never felt on top of each other. There was 4 adults staying & our grandbaby. We ran out of propane & service to replenish was instant. We loved the beautiful dock & the area we stayed in was very, very peaceful. The only minor thing we missed was a pool, but loved our visits to Honeymoon Island which was only a couple of minutes by car. We would certainly consider coming back & have already recommended this to some of our Canadian friends. Thank you for your warm hospitality! We hope to meet again in our Florida travels!

Wonderful experience! Beautiful views, flowers by the balcony were like perfume. Great location, as private as a condo can be, right on the water, but an easy walk to shops and market & a fun bike ride on the Pinellas Trail into Dunedin. Boat ride on the Sound was the best except even better: the morning we left a whole pod of dolphins came right by the dock. Owners were super responsive to our needs: they asked, & actually wanted to know, how we were doing -- we said, the bed was old & uncomfortable -- they checked it out & had a really nice new one that afternoon!!! Only unsolvable problem was very unstable internet connection, difficult as we had to communicate re our business. Otherwise, we can't wait to go back. Thanks & hope to see you soon on our next trip!!!

Our family was 100% satisfied with this clean and comfortable condo. The owners provided bicycles, kyaks and fishing poles and tackle, and we used all of it every day! The location is perfect - you can bike over the bridge to Honeymoon Island or into town to eat or shop. The kids walked out the back door and kyaked to explore an island in the sound. The owners also provided a state park pass so you can go anywhere you want, not just Honeymoon. The location can't be beat and the views are just what you are looking for. We rented the ground floor unit so the kids were able to fish and play right there in the yard. You can't get more waterfront than this! When you sit on the patio and look out at the sound you feel as if you are the only person in the world! It is very quiet and private from the neighbors and other units in the building. I can't recommend it highly enough!

We were amazed how clean the condo was and everything was new and in working order. I usually wear flipflops when I'm in a rental, but this condo was so clean we would have eaten on the floors. All the appliances appeared to be new and the owners were very interested in whether we had everything we needed. All that, plus the Egret who walked around our patio made it very enjoyable.

Close to everything. Publix and Walgreens within walking distance. Really nice having the free pass to honeymoon island.
