The Tower House is part of a 19th Century private chapel and provides the highest standard of comfort in a very special setting. Flying angels which hold up the ceiling and a stained glass window are just two of the unique features of this fascinating, luxurious and unique holiday accommodation. This cleverly restored accomodation sleeps two, making it the perfect romantic hideaway.

The accommodation is on two levels; the ground floor has an open plan kitchen/dining and sitting room. A narrow and steep stone spiral staircase leads to the upper floor bedroom and en suite bathroom.

After a day's touring why not enjoy a game of badm...inton or table tennis in the indoor games area in the nave of the Chapel - or simply relax in the comfort of your romantic 5 star self-catering accommodation.

Accommodation

Ground floor:

Kitchen - with ceramic hob, electric oven, fridge, microwave and dishwasher, all housed within quality fitted units that contain an ample selection of quality cutlery, crockery and utensils. The locally made wrought iron dining table and chairs add to the unique setting of this special apartment. Above the sink is a stained glass window. ??Sitting room - has a very comfortable two-seater sofa and footstool, flatscreen TV with Freeview channels and integral DVD player, mini hi-fi, and Wireless Interness access. ??Laundry room — for the convenience of visitors, rather than take up valuable space in the kitchen, an automatic washing machine and dryer are provided for the sole use of visitors to the Tower House within the Chapel where our recycling facilities are also provided.

First floor:

Bedroom — a steep and narrow spiral stone staircase leads to the bedroom that features a Queen-sized double bed with headboard made from original paneling from the original 19th century house and decorative drapes above. An attractively draped corner wardrobe unit has been created with luggage space above. A hair dryer is provided as well as an iron and small ironing board. ??En suite bathroom - features an original and very pretty clover leaf window. It has a tiled floor, bath with shower head, and an electric shaver point. ??Guests are provided with 3 towels per person - bath, hand and face and bathrobes, as well as a supply of shower gel, herbal bath and hand wash.

Conveniently located just off the A9 between Stirling and Perth, Duncrub Holidays enjoys a tranquil location in beautiful Strathearn with Craig Rossie, the highest hill on the eastern end of the Ochils in the background.
Situated in glorious Strathearn, within a 10-minute walk of the attractive conservation village of Dunning, 9 miles west of Perth city, visitors enjoy this wonderfully central location about an hour’s drive from either of Glasgow or Edinburgh airports. The area offers everything from wonderful gardens, castles, whisky distilleries, great shopping for antiques, cashmeres and Scottish specialities, entertainment from a ceilidh to a classical concert, and a fine base for your family history research. A golfer's paradise with a 9-Hole golf course at Dunning, an 18-hole course 2 miles, and the world acclaimed Gleneagles Golf Courses 7 miles, there are 41 courses in Perthshire.
It is a wonderful base for a holiday with easy access by road or rail to many parts of Scotland. The steep sided glens of the Ochil Hills have long been popular with walkers and protect the valleys of Strathallan and southern Strathearn.
The area is full of history and one of Scotland’s finest Roman Camps, Ardoch Fort is to be found at Braco. Dunning lies a few miles east of Auchterarder and is home to the Dupplin Cross, an 8 foot example of Pictish stonework that is housed in St Serf’s Church with its Norman tower.
This rural setting can be reached by car from Edinburgh and Glasgow airports in 45 and 65 minutes respectively and from Gleneagles and Perth railway stations in less than 15 minutes.

  October is a fine time to go stay in Perthdhire - the colours on the abundant beech trees, the crisp cold days with that autumnal quality of the sunlight which makes photos magical all combine to make it an excellent place to go.
  
  If you're a couple looking for somewhere that is different, that will just make it a break that lives on in the memory for - well, for ever, then try this place. In a redundant estate church building, toer house is just that, the tower. A tiny stone winding stair ascends almost vertically within the tower butress to a bedroom that was maybe the old bellringing floor, with a bathroom off. The furnishing is of the best, the bed large and comfortable, and for a stone tower in the middle of fields it was marvelously warm. All the usual stuff about WiFi, TV and so on you can take for granted.
  
  The one thing not to take for granted was the excellence of the service from Claire. Way above and beyond the call of duty, when we had a problem - the real mark of quality.
  
  Stay here - you won't regret it - eat at the Turnstyle in the village, explore the area - you'll need more time.

  First class accomodation with magnificent weather and so many things to see all within a short drive giving a variety of choice second to none, and perfectly relaxing atmosphere.
