Alison and andy made us feel very welcome. The thatched Cottage is so quaint and comfortable, in the gorgeous town of Dunster, where there are some very good restaurants and a variety of small shops. We loved the cosiness of the cottage and the beautiful views into the garden. We believe some people may have difficulty with the narrow bath and hand held shower. A thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable couple of days.

The service we received from our hosts was exceptional. The cottage is well fitted out and comfortable and set it a beautiful spring garden. It is set on a quiet street just around the corner from the main street of the charming village of Dunster where you are spoilt for choice for good eating establishments. We found plenty to do. The castle is only a short walk away. And there are many longer walks from the village into Exmoor. The coast and steam railway are easily accessible.

We were provided with good instructions on how to find our accommodation and gain access. We were greeted by a large Victoria sponge cake and bowl of fruit. The accommodation was clean with plenty of room for both of us. The property is located in the heart of dunster so you are literally minutes from the village centre. As we were on a walking holiday there was access to plenty of footpaths and byways. If you are energetic Minehead is close enough to walk into, and there is the West Somerset Railway which can be used to explore some other villages a long the way. The owners live in an adjacent part of the property and willing helpful with any enquiries.

We stayed in Priory Thatch annexe in Dunster. It is a small but well appointed cottage, ideal for a short break for two.
Dunster itself is a lovely old town with a castle,a refurbished tythe barn and good eateries. The surrounding area offers lots of walks, often with spectacular views, and NT properties.
