A very warm welcome received from Morag and John who went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed every minute of our holiday. Special touches included fresh flowers, tea, coffee, milk, sugar and shortbread on arrival made you feel at home right away.
The accommodation was clean and comfortable with everything you required at hand.
The village of Dunvegan has plenty to offer in the way of restaurants, bakers and a garage which sells groceries and newspapers. Great location for exploring the island.
Although the weather wasn't very good it made all the difference coming back to a cosy, comfortable cottage.
We enjoyed our stay so much that as soon as we arrived home we bkked again for 2012!

Hillside is a beautiful cottage with ample room for a small family to relax and rest. The location is perfect for walking into Dunvegan village but with plenty of privacy. The Macdonalds were wonderful hosts and have taken care of every small detail in the cottage to ensure it is comfortable and well equipped for cooking and reading. We enjoyed hiking and exploring the artist studios nearby. We will come back to Hillside when we are next in Skye.

Owners of cottage were very friendly and helpful. Lots to do in Skye except the Stein Inn. My kids were disappointed that their "play area" was a cupboard with a couple of toys in it. Not joking!!! Other than that everything was great, even the weather was not too bad considering it is Scotland at the height of the summer.
