We stayed at Cider House last fall - the location of Cider House is idyllic, the cliff walls of Hermosa, the amazing orchards of cherry, apple and pear trees, the peacefulness that can only be found a few miles out of town. Chris and Michelle are wonderful hosts and live next door providing on-site help while the placement of the property allows for privacy. The house is new, the finishes comfortable and top-notch and the beds are the highest quality and very comfortable. Our children loved the big bunk beds and being able to go out the back door into the orchard and seeing deer and the domestic ducks running around. If you're looking for a beautiful, peaceful and memorable stay while you're in the Durango area, this is the place for you!

My family was doing a multistate RV trip and wanted a couple days with roots down and this place was perfect. Just outside downtown Durango and on the road to Silverton.
We also did a great day trip to Mesa Verde that is not to be missed. That place deserves its own write up for sure.
Neighbors were very friendly and the kids loved the swimming hole too! -

My husband and I totally enjoyed our stay in this new rental home. The accommodations met our needs in every way. We loved the rural nature of the setting, from the great views of the red cliffs from the orchard, to watching the open range chicken flock scratch away the day. One great benefit is the dozen eggs awaiting each new guest. With Durango only a short fifteen minute drive south and the skiing resort fifteen minutes north, this great rental offers the perfect place to enjoy your vacation.
