Description from the manager
Enjoying beautiful views of Loch Linnhe and the Ardgour hills, this attractive property is on a small private estate and stands in a private, secluded garden just 30 yards from the private foreshore. Visitors’ boats may be launched here and there are facilities for boat hire, wind-surfing and pony trekking within 5 miles. Salmon and sea trout fishing can be arranged locally and there is excellent hill-walking, bird watching and varied sea-life, including otters, to enjoy. AlloaA Special Place
Left on 03/21/2013 for a stay in February 2013
My wife and I have been spending a week's holiday at Cuilview cottage for many years. We always go at the end of February/beginning of March and the weather can be variable. Sometimes it is cold, wet and wild, sometimes it is cold, bright and calm.Whatever the weather, the house is always a warm and cosy base to return to from a wonderful variety of coastal and hill walks. If the weather has been too wild to wander far, the beach which is like an extension of the garden, provides a splendid walk. We know to take sensible clothes and always have a wonderful holiday. Local bird and wildlife is a great attraction for us and we've seen some great sights, even from the living room window. The owner is very thoughtful and welcoming; it's a special place.

Fantastic and peacful week once again plan on spending two weeks next time as a week did not seem long enough.I would recommend the owners and the property to anyone. The cotage has everything that you need for a comfortable stay, brilliant unresticted views of lock Linne and Christine and her family are supportive if needed. lovely people. I noticed someone complained about the bathroom in an earlier review I and my daugter honestly thought the bathroom superb and hope the owners dont change it because of this.Sighted porpose seals and one sighting of three otters and that was all from the cottage windows.Good place for touring and walking scenery second to none, daughter went quad bikeing and canyoning I setteled for a bottle of scotch and some beautiful fresh sea food fom oban can't wait to return.

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at this lovely cosy cottage on the shore of Loch Linnhe. We could not have asked for more we were met on arrival by the lovely owner and made to feel at home and shown around the cottage. The cottage was better than we could have hoped for as soon as the cottage door opened the warm cosy feeling came straight out to meet you. Inside it was bright and cheerful with fantastic views. The cottage had everything you could wish for and was equipt to a very high standard we wanted for nothing. It is in an ideal location for getting out and about nowhere was far away and if you wanted to stay at the cottage you could have a great time watching the ever changing picture from your window or lovely walks on your doorstep. We loved it and will for sure be returning !!!

Left on 10/19/2012 for a stay in September 2012
A lovely comfortable cottage in a beautiful Lochside location. Otters fished for a hour in the evening watched from the comfort of the lounge. The starry night skies are unbelievable to anyone with light pollution at home. Close to Glen Coe, Ben Nevis cable car, Fort Willian and the road to the Isles steam train. The owner is extreemly helpful, the only improvement I can think of would be a DVD player for wet days in although we just stared at the views as the changes all the time.
A good relaxing holiday -

High WycombePerfect Location!
Left on 06/12/2012 for a stay in May 2012
This is our 4th visit to the cottage, which alone says a lot! The main attraction of the cottage is the location and setting. It is close to Glen Coe and the Nevis Range for hiking and outdoor activities, and handy for Oban and low level activities should the weather be a little damp! Then there is the view from the cottage; it is literally on the shore of Loch Linnhe, and the view just keeps changing - it's wonderful! It's also fun spotting seals and porpoises, and if lucky the local otters.

Left on 04/07/2012 for a stay in April 2012
Our 5th. stay and will not find a cottage with a more idyllic location in Scotland. Back again next year. Warm welcome from owner. Weather turned cold for a couple of days but cottage warm and cosy. Views from the bedroom and living room are stunning. 10 yards of lawn and then the sea. No road just the occasional cow or sheep sauntering past. Bedroom furniture upgrade made it even better than last year.

Left on 09/29/2011 for a stay in September 2011
Clean, warm, cosy cottage in good location. Good welcome. However, inside dated and furnishings fairly basic. Might have expected an open fire in a cottage such as this. Storage radiators a thing of the past

swindonFantastic location, shame about the property!
Left on 09/22/2011 for a stay in August 2011
The area was fantastic and we enjoyed going canoeing on the loch. The things that let it down were the state of the bathroom (felt dirty and outdated) and the smell of dog hair everywhere. The other odd thing which we didn't like was the way we put money into the coin meter, but were still charged for electric on top of the money we had put into the meter!

We have recently inspected this property and if there were any issues at the end of last summer these have been rectified. This is one of our most popular properties as the other reviews confirm and it books up very quickly year after year.

NottinghamLovely Location
Left on 08/17/2011 for a stay in August 2011
As described, right on the shore of Loch Linnhe but hadn't realised the proximity of another property (right next door) which spoiled the seclusion we sought.
Friendly welcome, very clean property, just enough crockery for four so no spares. Disappointed that bed linen wasnt included (part of my holiday is not making up beds) but this was made clear on booking.
Was shocked at being asked to pay extra electricity on top of the pound coin meter - this was not clear in the booking details.
We enjoyed our stay.

Left on 06/17/2011 for a stay in May 2011
Greeted directly we had got out of the car with a cheerful greeting and directions to the cottage. Once there we were shown around inside and made to feel welcome. The cottage was warm and comfortable with all that we required. We did not need anything during our stay but felt if we did, assistance would not far away.
Best position for outlook and view in 27 years of holidays in Scotland. Although the weather was not the best,it made the view "constantly changing".A very peaceful location.
Access to the cottage position is a little difficult, through a small farmyard, but position well made up for this. -

Views over the loch were fabulous - changing weather created a different picture each day - interesting wildlife - a real feeling of getting away from the world - comfortable, clean accommodation with all facilities included.

The fact that this was a return visit proves how good it was as I wouldn't return to somewhere that I did't like or repeat a previous bad experience.

Left on 11/04/2010 for a stay in April 2010
This was our second visit to this cottage. The situation by the loch is superb for the view and the wildlife on the loch. It is hard to pull oneself away from the window. Take binoculars.
It is placed in a great locality with many forest walks, Glencoe and its hills, Fortwilliam area and good cafes all nearby.
Cottage had all the comforts we needed.
