My husband and I were in desperate need of a vacation without our kids (ages 4 and 1.5). We knew we wanted to eat breakfast and lunch in the room so we could lounge on the beach all day, scuba dive one day, go to at least one nice dinner. This place was perfect.
First Toine Schoofs, the Prestige agent, met us at check in and took us to our room. He showed us how to use the safe and connected us with all the amenities. He gave us advice on where to eat and handled the cell phone rental for us as well as bringing a calling card to add minutes to the phone and get us started. He was relaxed and professional and completely unhurried. We felt we could call him anytime.
The multiple pools were rarely occupied and the beach right across the street. The property is very well maintained and completely gated. It was easy to get in and out of the gate because it used a keypad with a code so no keys were necessary. One block away was the nicest dinner we could have asked for at the Screaming Eagle. Right next door was the restaurant Tulip which had wonderful food at very reasonable prices and quiet outdoor seating. You could have never left by car and had all your needs met.
The complex is on the end of the low-rise hotel district so it was very quiet. There were palapas right there and always available so no need to bring umbrellas. Soft beach towels, chairs and cooler in the room made it easy.
All the nightlife and activity you could ask for was about 8 minutes away by bus or taxi so you could have your privacy or go out and get wild if you so desired.
If I return to aruba, I will definitely stay at Oceania and would recommend Prestige Realty Group for their professionalism and attention to detail. Thank you Toine.
