My wife and I spent 6 nights here in March/April 2013. We were both enjoying a blizzard-delayed anniversary vacation and checking the property out for a potential return trip with my wife's 88-year old Mom.
The property lives up to the pictures and descriptions - it is a well-maintained resort. Lighting in the bathrooms could be stronger, and the toilet flushes could be more consistent, but this may be endemic to the island or property rather than this unit.
As mentioned in other reviews, the plastic resin chairs really don't cut it for patio/deck furniture (nor does having to bring them back in each time as they violate the resort's rules), and they really don't work for beach chairs.
For us, the lack of a real dining area poses a challenge for bringing Mom down (the stainless steel stools around the kitchen peninsula are neither comfortable nor appropriate for older guests), and having a TV in the living room would have made this particular unit a lot more attractive for us.
The views from the decks are great, and the initially-crowded pool and beach area quieted down once the Carnival/Easter celebration ended on april 2nd, and made our experience much more enjoyable (note to self - don't book this particular week in aruba next year).
Gary and Juan Carlos were both most helpful and responsive as we planned our initial trip, adjusted in real-time based on cancelled flights, and rescheduled and finally took the trip 6 weeks later. -

We had a great week staying at Oceania 222! We had everything we needed and more! Very spacious and clean! We loved being so close to Eagle Beach! We loved that the entire property was really secure. The new grocery store is close enough to walk. There are several restaurants close enough to walk to. We could take the bus really close by to any where on the island. Oceania 222 is really a home away from home!!!

The location was great! Eagle beach was beautiful! If you wanted action all the other hotels were 2 miles away! The grocery store was a mile away and very good bread, Gouda cheese and fruit!
There needed to be patio furniture, the plastic chairs just did not cut it for such a nice resort! Also, those chairs are nor what you take to the beach, we needed sand chairs!
We had a great time and love aruba! -

We stayed at the condo for a week in December. The unit was very spacious, clean and very comfortable. We had plenty of room for ourselves and our 5 kids. The pools were always nearly empty and we had a fantastic time swimming every day. Eagle Beach across the street was not busy and had expansive beautiful sand and bright blue water. It was true paradise. We were close to grocery stores, restaurants & shopping...everything we needed. We would recommend this property to anyone. It was quiet, peaceful and safe - a perfect family vacation in a paradise setting.

We were very happy with our stay. Juan Carlos was expecially helpful and the security guys were always friendly. The condo was beautiful, very modern and spacious, lots of space for 5 adults and 2 kids (11 & 9). Every thing you may need is in the condo (only thing missing was the chaise lounge chairs). The pools were amazing, and we practically had them to ourselves most of the time. Across the street, through the gate is the expansive, white sand beach, again, very few people. There is also a very nice workout room that faces the ocean.

Although Chaise lounges are only available at the pool for free, they can be RENTED. for a nominal fee from Beachfront kiosk run by La Quinta, the property immediately to the south, less than a five minutes on foot.

Our family (2 seniors/2 adults/2 boys ages 11&12) just returned from a stay at Oceania 222. We had such a fabulous time - it was by far one of our best family vacations to date.
The grounds at Oceania are beautiful, and the accomodations and amenities even better than the photos/videos we had looked up on-line. It was absolutely perfect for our family. The private nature of both the pool area and Eagle beach allowed for much football fun. It was only a short trip to either the busy high rise district, or to downtown. There were fabulous restaurants within walking distance - so no vehicle would have been necessary, although we cruised around in our rental van a few times. Many of the excursions pick you right up @ the front entrance!
We caught the end of Easter week/weekend, and it was nice to experience both aruba in busy beachfront celebration - and then watch all of the tents being packed away and the beach open up in all its endless bold beauty. The waves, by the way, were perfect for body surfing - and the water is so incredibly clear. Nothing litters Eagle beach - we spent almost the entire week barefoot, marveling at the softness of the sand!
We are hoping to get back again next year - and would attempt to stay again in Unit 222. It was huge, clean, and beautiful - more than enough room for 6 people - with two complete kitchens, although we never needed the 2nd. As our son commented shortly after we arrived, "there may be better places than this, but if there are, I don't even want to know about 'em." We all echo that sentiment.
If you choose Oceania - especially unit 222 - you will not be disappointed. Oh, and Dr. Lesker is great about responding to any worries/concerns you may have leading up to your visit. Once you settle in, you'll forget all about those and simply enjoy.Response from gary m lesker - 05/05/2011

My wife, son, daughter and my son's girlfried(now fiancee, they got engaged while we were there) had the most wonderful time at the Oceania and on the island of aruba. The condo was very very very nice, large, clean and beautiful views from each balcony. We couldn't have been more satisfied with the whole experience. If you want a great vacation at a great spot and convenient to everything. This is the place. I would definitely return and stay here!!!

Our group of 8 adults visited aruba for the first time in February 2010 and stayed at Oceania 222. What an amazing place to stay! The condo has 3 balconies with great views of Eagle beach. The 3 bedrooms accommodated our group well. There are 2 pools that are rarely used so you feel as though you have them to yourself. Very nice!
We travel together frequently and prefer to stay in one unit as opposed to individual hotel rooms. This place was perfect for us! It made our first trip to aruba a great experience. We hope to go back and stay in the same unit someday! Not only is the condo wonderful, we were given a cell phone and contact person who oversees the unit, so if there is a problem or if you need information, you have access to help immediately. The internet access was wonderful, too. We just can't say enough good things about this condo.
