The accomodations were perfect - most times you don't sleep well away from home, but these beds were very, very comfortable. Home was nicely furnished and very clean and accomodating.

Lombard, ILHighly recommended for a winter getaway up North
Left on 03/04/2013 for a stay in February 2013
Just spent 4 days at this resort and could not have been happier. Pam and Chuck and their family built this resort over a number of years themselves and that pride of ownership and of realizing a dream really shows through in every detail. The home is quite spacious, the grounds are pristine and well-kept, and everything you could think of was provided. We did some snowshoeing nearby at the anvil trails, hiked on the property and out onto the lake to see a few folks ice-fishing, and also attended Klondike Days which was great fun. Can't imagine how pretty this place must be in the summer. It was just the two of us, but the cabin could have easily slept 14! The layout is perfect to provide enough privacy if many people were there at once, but also did not make us feel lost in such a big place. Such gracious hosts!

My family stayed here February 14 - 17. It was awesome. The House was fabulous!!! Fishing was consistent, but unfortunately we caught little northern the majority of the time but it was still a blast. The wood fire place was perfect. Our overall experience was wonderful. And Pam and Chuck made us feel welcome and comfortable. I look forward to staying here again.

Left on 02/28/2013 for a stay in February 2013
Very comfortable & quiet get away for a long week-end with girlfriends. The layout of the house was great. Very peaceful and quiet, even with snowmobilers around. A great snowshoe, especially since we had fresh snow to enjoy and an almost full moon for an night time treck on the lake. Beds were comfortable, nice pile of wood for the fireplace. Very relaxing

We stayed in #5 and #6. Both cabins have gorgeous views of the lake and were very clean upon our arrival. Pam and Chuck are great people and are there to help with anything you may need. The cabins are very spacious. It was very nice to leave home and get away and stay in another place that felt like home. There are snowmobile trails right out the back door. I loved the fireplace and being able to clean our clothes and dishes. All in all this was one of the best places I have stayed.

Chicago, IllinoisZaugg's resort is a great place to bring the family and friends.
Left on 02/04/2012 for a stay in January 2012
My friends and I were looking to take a snowmobile trip up to the North Woods and found Zaugg's resort in our hunt for a cabin rental. The booking process was smooth and easy, and the staff were extremely friendly. The cabin was everything that we were hoping for and the price was unbeatable. I would highly recommend Zaugg's resort for anybody looking for a North Woods getaway. We can't wait to come back next year!

The cabin was great for the kids and a large number of people. With extended family and friends we had 13 people during parts of the week and never felt over crowded. The outdoor activities and nature were great. The Zauggs were very welcoming.

Germantown, WIThe perfect vacation spot for our family
Left on 11/09/2010 for a stay in July 2010
For the past 12 years, my husband and I, along with our 4 adult children and their families, including 7 grandchildren, have stayed for one week in two adjacent chalets at Zaugg's Resort. When we discovered this resort way back when, we knew we had found the ideal place for our entire family to vacation together in the summertime.
The chalets are large, very clean and outfitted with lovely, comfortable furniture and plenty of kitchen supplies.
Anvil Lake is a private lake, where we enjoy boating, fishing, waterskiing, swimming, and the like.
The grounds are well kept; Chuck and Pam Zaugg are located just down the road, and they go out of their way to make sure we have a great week.
Also, there are a great many other options for "play" in the Eagle River area. These include horseback riding, golfing, mini golfing, bumper cars, shopping, dining out, etc.
We feel blessed to be able to gather, as a family, at this lovely place each summertime.
