This lovely single storey, detached cottage is situated in the hamlet of Thormanby, close to the town of Easingwold and sleeps five people in two bedrooms. Beech Cottage is a delightful detached cottage in the hamlet of Thormanby, 5 miles from the town of Easingwold. This single storey cottage sleeps five people and has two bedrooms consisting of a family room with a 1 king-size double and 1 single, as well as a double bedroom and a family bathroom. The rest of the cottage is made up of a kitchen with dining area and a sitting room. Outside there is off road parking for 2 cars and shared use of a one acre lawned garden with furniture and bar...becue. Beech Cottage is situated close to many attractions and interesting places to visit, such as Thirsk, the city of York and the stunning Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Parks.

Amenities: Oil central heating. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer in garage, washer/dryer, TV with FreeSat, DVD, CD/radio, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Off road parking for 2 cars. Bike storage in garage. Shared use of owners’ one acre lawned garden with patio, unfenced pond, furniture and BBQ. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 3 miles. Note: There is an unfenced 4 feet deep pond at this property, therefore children must be supervised at all times. Note: This property lies just off the A19, there may be some low level road noise in the garden.

Region: The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Town: The small market town of Easingwold is set within the Vale of York, on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. The town centre boasts a large market square surrounded by splendid Georgian buildings, plus there are also pretty village greens, and a good selection of shops, pubs and cafes.Read more

All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  My friends and I had a couple of days just to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and what a brilliant time we had. The stay was peaceful, the accommodation and the surrounding gardens were was delightful. The two ladies was very helpful suggesting places to visit. All round brilliant place to go.

  Luxurious spacious cottage and beautiful garden

  We stayed last week at Beech Cottage - 2 adults and my 86-year old Dad with mobility problems. Couldn't fault it in any way. Very comfortable beds, lots of space and light throughout the cottage, all level access (except a very small front step into the cottage). Parked car easily outside cottage. Lots of little extra touches too - bottle of chardonnay chilling in fridge, packet of biscuits, some teabags, sugar, coffee to start us off... very helpful. All rooms with lots of space. Such a peaceful location too, although just set back from busy a19, couldn't hear the road noise. Great location to travel to places and also to find your way back to the cottage. For me the icing on the cake was the beautiful gardens with double fishpond and fountain. Sitting on the bench looking out at such a peaceful scene on our first evening was definitely a highlight. There's also a barbecue you can use on the patio, as well as a nice set of garden furniture plus sun umbrella. The owner, Pam, couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming, with as much information on places to eat and see as you need. What a superb holiday! Can't wait to come back.

  Everything we needed was at hand, including a lovely , spacious garden for relaxing in.
  The furnishing and decor are perfect and stylish, everything to put us at our ease. Hosts helpful and discreet. We really felt cosseted. A great location for touring the North Yorkshire moors, The Dales, and for visiting York, Castle Howard and Harrogate - all of which we did.
