Woodlands Cottage is one mile from the village of Snainton. This stone built, semi detached cottage has two bedrooms and a large, lawned garden. Woodlands Cottage is a delightful traditional, stone built cottage situated in the quiet countryside only one mile from Snainton village. This cottage is comfortable and cosy, with a large, beamed farmhouse kitchen with dining area, a welcoming living room and a bathroom. There are two bedrooms - one double and one twin, which makes this cottage ideal for families. There is a fantastic large, lawned garden with furniture which is perfect to relax in after a day exploring the area. There is also off... road parking.

This cottage is a superb base for the many attractions nearby and will keep adults and children occupied for many hours. If you are interested in the wonderful countryside, the pretty villages and towns nearby or the many adventure sports on offer this cottage is perfect.

Amenities: Oil central heating with electric fire in living room. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV, DVD, radio/CD player. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Hot tub available at a charge of £50 per week or £25 per short break, payable direct to owner. Travel cot and highchair. Off road parking for two cars. Large, enclosed lawned garden with garden furniture. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 1 mile.

Region: The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Town: The pretty village of Snainton is ideally situated between Pickering and Scarborough and at the foot of North York Moors National Park. Snainton has many amenities including a shop/post office and two pubs that serve food. For those that like horses, there is an excellent riding centre that provides for all ages and abilities. Nearby there is a superb driving range with a 9 hole golf course, cycle rides and quad biking.

A short drive away is Dalby Forest, with fantastic opportunities for walking, mountain biking and the opportunity to experience the 'Go Ape' adventure park. Also easily accessible by car is the seaside resorts of Scarborough and Whitby, the market town of Pickering and the historic city of York.

All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  My partner and I stayed at Woodlands Cottage for an autumn short break weekend. The first thing to note is that and the cottage has to be booked via leading uk holidfay cottage rental site only who appear to have exclusivity. It cannot be booked direct and the owner(s) would not negotiate on rental price.
  The accommodation was clean, well presented and well equipped with everything you should need. There was however, evidence of the property being "pet friendly".
  The accommodation was comfortable, but the two bedrooms are not large. Also we would have preferred a shower in the bathroom.
  The owner was welcoming and discrete during our stay. however, this is a working farm and there was a lot of activity dutring our stay, which may not suit everyone.
  We experienced noise from the owners dog(s) one night but this was rectified the following day.
  Its setting was remote and peaceful in lovely countryside but you do need a car!.
  One of the highlights of the stay was the outdoor Hottub. This was fantastic. Good quality and undercover too and great for relaxing at the end of a long day. However, we were a little disapointed that despite having paid extra for this facility, it was used by the owner(s) children. For hygeine reasons i had thought that hot tubs were only for sole use of the guest.
  But generally a very enjoyable stay and no real reasons why i cannot reccommend this property to other guests.

  All we needed

  The cottage was just right for us ideally placed for visiting the North York Moors attactions.
  We were made to feel very welcome by the owners who also gave advice on local attractions and resturants. The cottage was very clean and had all the facilities we needed. There was also the use of a hot tub which we used every evening for a relaxing soak.
  
  We would recommend the cottage to our friends and would stay there again.
