Kitchen and bath on first floor with all new appliances, window a/c and a spiral staircase to second floor. Master bedroom has a Full sized bed and 2nd bedroom has 4 Twin beds and a window a/c. Laundry and WIFI. Open living room/kitchen as you enter this cottage by the sea. Sorry, fireplace not for use. Outdoor patio for you to sit and listen to the waves against the shore. Situated in an association of 9 cottages on quiet North Shore Blvd with private beach rights. One back from the path to the beach with parking for two cars.

This place was in a great location...2 steps from the beach! It was clean, well decorated and the master has a balcony which was nice however, it does have a few drawbacks: The staircase leading to the second floor is very narrow and extremely dangerous for disabled people, or children and an overweight adult would have an extremely difficult time going up because it is so narrow and steep. There is also a large gap (missing guard rail) at the top of the staircase where little kids (3 and under) could fall 15 feet onto the tile floor below so I would not recommend this place for young families like ours. We had to constantly supervise our children and not let them upstairs unattended. Another small detail that bothered us was that there are only 4 dinner plates, 4 mismatched wine glasses and a bunch of mismatched dishes and cutlery stuffed in the cupboards and drawers. It would be nice when you pay a price like this to at least have matching plates and utensils and not to always have to do the dishes after each meal. The beach is amazing at low tide but at high tide very rocky and not ideal for young kids. Overall we had a great time but would probably look to stay somewhere else with our young family for next year. This place would be suitable for a family with one or two older children however!

Positive: Location - it's steps from the beach, right behind the beachfront cottage.
Nice decor, well equipped kitchen.
Negative: Parking between the cottages takes up the entire courtyard and can be noisy as guests come and go especially late at night. It would be better if the cars were parked on the street and the courtyard had some green flower beds to make the community more appealing.
Staircase is inconvenient especially if you have to use the bathroom at night which is downstairs.
We missed having a patio furniture with umbrella (there was only a bench with an old table). Patio needs to be renovated to be more attractive and private.

the house is great, always a pleasure to stay here. the office staff at sand dollar are always pleasant and handled any concerns i had positively which made are trip that much more enjoyable. be back next year.

The house is small but clean and comfortable. The location is terrific - steps from the beach. We enjoyed watching the sunset each night from the beach. The bay is great for swimming and splashing as the water is very shallow and clear.
Two negatives about the house:
- The spiral stairs are extremely narrow and awkward; we had a lot of trouble getting baggage upstairs to the bedrooms. Gratefully we were traveling with three strong teenagers, so we were able to pass the bags upstairs. The rental ad should mention the narrow stairs (or include a picture), as they may present a problem for some renters, particularly families with small kids.
- The house does not have an outdoor shower or even a hose to rinse off - so lots of sand made its way into the house.

loved the house we stay there every year. the one thing i dont like is the late hour of checking in 230. my reason is that to get over the bridge without a hassle you need to go over early . like 930am.. i understand they need to clean the rental but if you get in earlier than 230 it would be great .because for us we were tired and the waiting was tough after driving 6 hours. thanx

This cottage was very nice. It was clean and nicely decorated, loved that it was recently updated. The only downfall was the small spiral staircase, but I guess that's a space saver. It was steps to the private beach! Wonderful stay.
