Waterfront home at Scorton Shores in East Sandwich, Ma. A much desired private beach. Wonderful views of the water from inside and out. 3 Bedroom, 3 bath. Private setting. First floor has an open kitchen/living room with fireplace and walls of windows. Full bathroom with shower located off the kitchen along with a washer and dryer nearby. Formal dining room and 2 bedrooms plus another bath complete the first floor. We loved this house. It's right on the beach, it's private, and the sunsets are beautiful (and different each night). We loved being able to let our kids play on the beach while we watched them from the deck with our coffee. Not having to lug everything but the kitchen sink down to the beach was a huge bonus. If we needed to use the restroom, get a snack, or take a break from the sun, the house was right there. We would definitely stay here again.

My family has stayed at 14 Captain Crocker for maybe 6 years now. It is truly "heaven on earth"! From the moment you open the door, glance across the room, and take in the fabulous view of Cape Cod Bay right outside...until the day you have to conclude your stay...you'll find peace, relaxation, and just about any amenity you could think of.
The house feels wonderfully isolated at the end of Captain Crocker Rd (although stores are quite close if you need anything), and you have your own private beach, including beach chairs, umbrellas, even beach toys!
The house itself has a wonderful upstairs loft/sleeping area, as well as a fabulous oversized bedroom, with spectacular views of the bay! At night, you are lulled to sleep by the sound of waves right outside your window whether you are upstairs or in one of the two other bedrooms downstairs. There is a very well stocked kitchen, air-conditioning (if it is especially warm), a fireplace (if there's a chill in the evening air), three full bathrooms, an outdoor shower, living room with plenty of comfy places to sit, cable TV, a formal dining room, as well as an eating area in the kitchen. It is exceptionally clean and has all linens supplied (if you prefer not to bring your own).
There are three balconies upstairs and two decks down. Our favorite place is the larger deck...the perfect place for morning coffee and breakfast, or dinners while watching the fabulous sunset. We also love the low tide when we can walk out into the bay on the sandy ocean floor.
The only thing I can say slightly negative about the place is that the beach is a bit rocky in places...but we just use beach shoes, when needed, and the problem is solved! The bay water is always clear, and warmer than the Nantucket Sound or atlantic.
We are unable to spend our usual two weeks at 14 Captain Crocker this year...but we are counting the months until summer 2014!!!
