We had a most enjoyable two-weeks at Eden Island. It is an excellent value for all that it offers and we would highly recommend Peter's two-bedroom apartment. Eden Island has all of the amenities that you would expect at an upscale resort hotel with beautiful private beaches, swimming pools, kayaks, well-equipped gym, restaurants, spa, boat docks, a small market, with even more to come when the new shopping complex opens in November 2012. But unlike other hotel properties in the Seychelles, many of which are quite isolated, Eden Island offers independent-minded vacationers many more options from which to choose that go well beyond what a typical hotel offers. Host Beryl was so helpful in making our arrangements for tours, transportation etc and we were very impressed by the professional, high-tech security at Eden Island.
Peter's apartment has a well equipped kitchen with every appliance -- including dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer - and every kitchen tool one could ever need plus a few more. The apartment was spotlessly clean and cleaning service was included. The furnishings are tasteful, soft contemporary. Abundant quality linens and towels for guest use, flat screen TV with 5 million channels (well, maybe not 5 million channels but a lot), and wifi. A word about wifi; it worked for the first couple of days then went down - the entire island was without Internet for much of our stay while technicians waited for parts to arrive. It was a subtle reminder that - even though we were surrounded by all the modern conveniences in this beautiful place - this is still africa and things happen at a different. -

This apartment was perfect for the three of us. What we really enjoyed was how quiet the location is...I'm sure the "no automobile" policy helps keep the noise down. The Epv's are perfect for getting to the Eden Island beaches, the restaurants at the front and even out to the main road for fish from the local fishermen. (That was a wonderful treat!)
The place is clean and well appointed with plenty of room. What I was most happy about were the nice firm beds and pillows..that can really make a difference. The showers are beautiful and have an amazing amount of water pressure.
The photos of the verandah do not do it justice...there is a lot of room to just be outside. We had our breakfast out there every morning and so enjoyed being there.
Peter was very attentive and helpful...answered all of my questions prior to arriving and the few that we had upon arrival.
If it weren't so far away I would return year after year. Thank you Peter! -

We have been to many places all over the world but this location is really fantastic. We stayed in Peter's apartment for more than a week and it was just stunning! Everything was/ is well organized and let you feel like home (or even better!) We were young adults (two couples) and the apartment was the perfect choice.
Eden Island itself is stunning and that there is no "normal” traffic on the island makes it even better - only Evps (which every unit is equipped with) are allowed. It is the perfect location equal what you want to do on Mahe because everything is close und within an easy distance. Big supermarkets are available very close (makes it very easy for self-catering) or you just enjoy the restaurants on the island. There is also a big folder in the apartment where Peter included all information what to do/ where to go/...
The apartment itself was perfectly clean and well maintained (even internet Wifi is included), the kitchen, dryer, everything is completely new and ready to use. We normally do not use a TV on holidays but made an exception for the European soccer champion ship and it was a great evening enjoying a beer and the big TV screen ;-)

we stayed for one week in the Tropical Island Suites. It is a perfect place to explore Mahe Island. The apartment is very luxurious kitted out in terms of linnen,kitchen equipment and furniture. It was very spacious for our family of 4. Our kids loved the beach on Eden Island because it is very secluded and shallow and therefore child friendly. The best shells were found here, and amazingly the snorking was fabulous - some very fresh and new corel about 10 meters out to sea. The shop on Eden Island is very convenient for your daily shopping, choices are limited, but that is generally in the Seychelles. Some nice restaurants on Eden Island where you can go to at night in your little golfcart, watching the boats and the fish in the marina. If you are looking for an affordable way to explore Mahe - stay here, rent a car and drive around the island. And every evening it's a nice homecoming to beautiful accommodation and lovely surroundings.

We can only agree with every review giving an excellent rating for this apartment! Peter's replies to questions were very fast, the apartment is in excellent condition, the location is great, everything you need (groceries, beverages, pool, gym, tennis court, etc.) is in close distance, the EPV (Electric Powered Vehicle) is very convenient and the staff on site was very friendly, helpful and courteous. We can recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a pleasant stay on the Seychelles.
About us: we're two single guys in their mid-thirties, working in the media industry and have been looking for a relaxing vacation on the Seychelles - John's apartment was definitely the right choice for us. -

The apartment was perfect for our requirements - spacious, nicely furnished, well-equipped (including good airconditioning) and a large balcony with pleasant views over the marina. Eden Island is a great base from which to explore the island of Mahe, being located between the airport and the capital, Victoria. With two restaurants, a bar, deli and a couple of swimming pools (one of which is close to the apartment), it made for a wonderful holiday.

This accommodation is superb above the rest no doubt...exceptional, spotless and modern.
Everything is perfect and definitely value for money I will definitely try and book this apartment for the future.
The apartment is located 5 mins from Victoria which is the town centre, its perfect it has its own private beach 1 minute away.
You can watch the sun go down and the sun rise on the balcony while relaxing on the outdoor furniture. You will have views of sea, small boats or yachts from your balcony.
Due to the modern features of this apartment there is no chance of mosquito's entering the apartment, which meant not one mosquito on my party of 6.
There's is air conditioning if required but not necessary as the natural breeze is enough.
The kitchen is spacious and there is a dining table, bbq and living room. the kitchen appliances work to perfection and are new and easy to use, including a washing machine and tumble driving and dish washer.
There is also a small hair-dryer which came in handy.
The cleaners clean to perfection and towels are provided for the beach and apartment and washed at least once a week.
The bedrooms are spacious and sufficient beding is provided, and there are no issues with getting a good nights sleep the mattresses feel good and you dont hear any noises from outside. Including fluffy pillows.
There is a bar, restaurant and mini-supermarket on the complex which are handy.
I am definitely going to try and book this apartment during my next stay in the Seychelles its up there with the best.

The owmer, Peter Taylor, had arranged for a taxi to meet us at the airport and the driver was at arrivals with name board. Short trip to the accommodation. Security helped us with our bags into the apartment even at the early hour. The apartment was sheer luxury and in a fantastic location which was viewed from the comfy furntiure on the large terrace overlooking the marina and sea. Extemely comfy beds which was a bonus as both of us have delicate backs. Cannot think of anything negative about the place at all. It is a must for anyone thinking of going to the Seychelles. Top points for a top class place

What a wonderful holiday!! Everything about this holiday was perfect, the booking process was easy and the owner was very helpful and responsive to any queries we had, in particular, he recommended 'must things to do' whilst staying on Mahe. Without this information we would have missed some amazing trips/sights. The apartment was stunning and Seychelles and Eden Island are wonderful. We loved the EPV, this helped us to explore Eden Island. We would highly recommend this apartment as the facilities within the apartment and Eden Island are first class.

Eden Island is probably one of the best locations on Mahe Island, especially in terms of its centrality and proximity to both Victoria and the airport.

i was a little worried about how our stay would be just because i had no prior knowledge of the island of seychelles. let me just say that i was extremely pleasantly surprised. the people were nice and the suite was very lovely and spacious. a taxi picked up us promptly and we got to drive a little golf cart around the island. everything we needed was at our fingertips. it looked even better than the the pictures. the owner was very helpful and we didnt want it to end. i stongly suggest staying at the tropical island suites everytime!

We have been to the seychelles before, it is a great destination. It can however be hard to find value for your money when it comes to accomodations.
This Edens Island apartment is a great find. The resort/community is quiet, only electric verhicles are allowed. ( every apartment has one ).
The apartment comes fully equiped and everything is brand new. Two large bed-rooms ( one with a bath ) both have toilet and shower. Good airconditioning.
We will definately be coming back

Eden Island is an excellent place to stay in Mahe. Situated just 3km from Victoria, but having own peace. The whole Eden Island is still under build (an enormous leasure area project, by far the biggest in Seychelles), but the ready part is just luxurious and ready for use. Private pools, an integrated harbor for leasure boats and also own beaches in the island. Tropical Island Suite in Eden is luxurious, roomy (2 full size bedrooms, large living room and fully equipped kitchen) and with large balcony it has a marveolus view to harbor and to the sea behind. Own electrical car make easy transport within the large area of the Eden Island, to the entry bridge, to Eden restaurants and to island small shop. We can warmly recommend it, especially when you want to do your breakfast and meals of your own.

Our stay in the appartment was relaxing as the appartment is well supplied with top of the range electircal appliances,lovely bed linen and towels and a good selection of crockery etc. These luxuries help to make a stay exceptionally comforatable. The appartment is new with the result that everything is still in good condition and clean. We enjoyed our stay very much.
