For those looking for a clean, Pet Friendly rental, this home is perfect.
This is the third time I've stayed with Martha's Vineyard Vacation Homes, and we plan on returning again. The houses are neat, clean, and well maintained. We absolutely love the fact that the homes are Pet Friendly. The location in Edgartown is terrific. House is on a secluded and quiet piece of property which makes for a very relaxing setting. Located two minutes from State Beach and 10 minute to South Beach in Katama, the location is ideal for a family looking to go to the beach.
The owner is fabulous to deal with, and we're looking forward to returning next year. -

We stayed here for a week during our daughter's wedding week. It was a spacious, clean getaway from all the hectic commotion related to the wedding events. Everything was in order and working when we got there. Clif and his property mgt. crew responded to our needs in timely fashion, even though the issue was more our own than theirs.
Only minor issue was the kitchen didn't have all the right gadgets we needed, nothing critical, but we're foodies so we didn't have exactly the right tool. -

The house was in great shape and perfect for the six of us...all adults. It was an easy bike ride to the town of Edgartown but gas, groceries, bakery etc even closer.
Thanks Clif for all of your recommendations. All worked out well. We would love to return in the future.

You better hope you don't have bad weather bc this place is a no frills place to stay, no comforters on the beds, bring your own pillow (pillows were awful), no shower curtain, only a shower curtain liner, another liner used to cover the bathroom window...old decor and very small. we knew it was going to be small, but did not realize it was going to be a relatively dated place. the location could not have been better though, so this really made our stay pleasant. we were only at the place to shower & sleep. the setting of the house was pristine as well, we just wish the inside of the place had been decorated more up to date & fully decorated (with comforters, a shower curtain & better pillows). the owner was an absoulute pleasure to deal with!!

This review is about my very small two bedroom home NOT my much larger three bedroom home. I have a policy of "guaranteed clean." I ask my guests to call me immediately if anything needs cleaning or replacing after my housekeeper cleans the home. I did not receive any negative feedback from this guest. I have NEW pillows in storage. This is a NO frills home and my rates for this home in September reflect the NO frills which many folks appreciate. I have many photos that very accurately depict my small two bedroom home. The photos are up to date and demonstrate EXACTLY what the decor is in the home. I have pride in insuring that I disclose all things about my homes BEFORE folks make their final decision to rent from me. I continue to guarantee a clean home with central air-conditioning, free wifi, and free linens and towels.

Our recent trip to Martha's Vineyard was filled with activities surrounding the wedding event that was the primary purpose of the trip. Time spent in the rental home was generally filled with preparing to go out, or crashing after a day or evening of fun. Our 'home' suited our needs perfectly. It was very well equipped, and it also was located such as to provide a great springboard for exploring the island, when time allowed. Cliff was most helpful, always available to answer questions and offer suggestions. When the threat of a hurricane loomed during our stay, Cliff called us with any information that we might need for our personal safety. We hope to return someday and spend more time on the island, when our time is less structured for us. We will surely give Cliff a call for our accommodations.

The house was everything owner said it would be. It was spacious, well equipped and incredibly clean. The location is not only convenient to both the local beach and Edgartown but is close to Oak Bluffs, Vineyard Haven and Katama Beach . It is about 1/4 mile up a private road and on a huge lot, which makes it seem totally removed and private, yet you are right near everything. We biked daily to the beaches and to town. Stop & Shop is right down the road. We had central air, ceiling fans, a well stocked kitchen. Best of all we were able to bring our dog. The owner is a pleasure to work with. We will rent again next summer. I highly recommend this property.

We stayed along with another family (relatives) as we went to MV for a wedding. The beds were comfy. We always had enough hot water for all. We were well positioned to go to E-Town and Oak Bluffs. The house was clean and comfortable. The lot was private.

Cliff has very nice "Vineyard" homes to stay in. He is very professional to deal with and goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is comfortable. His compound of homes is very clean and cute. These are basic homes that really have everything to make you feel at home, including central air, washers and dryers, the works. A great location in Edgartown, and set way back from the road, so very safe for kids to run around and play. This is my third time staying at his property and we of course will return soon.

Excellent experience, the rules and regulations regarding the unit seemed key to making the experience a very smooth one. The unit was clean. I like that there is an owner behind the rental and not a broker. The interests of the owner coincided with our interests. The area very private, yet we were near lots of stores and beaches. We want to go back again.

The house was a pleasant surprise! I have stayed in quite a few homes on the Vineyard and this one was close to perfect in terms of what I was looking for...Clean, mid-week rental, secluded yet accessible, good sized rooms, plenty of sunlight, central a/c (we were there during a heat wave!), nice deck with lots of seating, ample parking.
The location is fantastic, right off a main road. It is a pleasant walk to Edgartown Center (1.5 miles) and close to Oak Bluffs. The house lends itself well to hanging out and relaxing. You don't feel like you are living in someone else's space, yet the house has all the things you need on vacation.
The landlord couldn't be nicer and is invested in you having a good experience. He really means it!
Everyone in my group loved the house as well. I would absolutely recommend it and will certainly rent again. -

We have stayed in both sized homes, nestled in a grove of trees. The interiors are very well maintained and comfortable.
Just about anything you could need are included down to a huge lobster pot. Very airy and bright rooms, AC and wireless work flawlessly. Clif is always available to answer any questions and deal with any issues immediately. We are returning this September for a ten day stay.

Really nice cottage in a private setting, close to Edgartown Center, Oak Bluffs, Vineyard Haven and South Beach (Katama) Also close to Stop & Shop, Dairy Queen, Liquor Store, and restaraunts. We stayed in the smallest house, my husband and I and our adult son. We were comfortable not crowded, the house was clean and neat when we arrived, everything was just as the owner had described. We are thinking of renting one of the larger homes for our next visit so we can bring our other son and his wife and child. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Our stay here was very nice. Having our 2 children with us, it was nice that they each had their own bedroom. The outdoor shower with warm water was awesome after a day at South Beach (a highly recommended spot to visit!). The backyard was big enough for a great game of wiffle ball. Since it's very wooded, we got a lot of mosquito bites though. Having central air was wonderful! The road isn't paved and was covered in big pot holes, so the kids couldn't ride their bikes on the road (although Clif mentioned that there's someone who usually fills those holes.) By the way, Clif was very quick with responses (via email and phone) and was great to work with. Overall, we had a very positive experience and would recommend this place.

My girlfriend and I traveled to Martha's Vineyard for the first time and came home raving about how great it was. I had been searching through the internet for a place to stay and really lucked out finding Clif's home. Place had been very well taken care of and offered us everything we could've asked for. Clif had also been very helpful in making sure we were very well educated on how to travel to and from the island. Overall this was a great experience and I can't wait to stay here again.

The property is not only beautiful, but extremely tranquil and convenient. There is shopping and restaurants within walking distance. One can even ride a bike to South Beach for the day (one of my favorite beaches) or up to Vineyard Haven or Oak Bluffs. The owners and everyone on the island are incedibly friendly, knoweable and accomodating. There is always something to do: art exhibitions, special children's event, farmers markets, local theatre; so you don't have to worry if it sprinkles outside as that never lasts for long anyhow.

From start to finish this was an enjoyable stay. The place is extremely well maintained and everything you need to cook, clean or do day to day "home" activities is available. The location is excellent, quiet and scenic and close to anything you need.
To start Cliff is up front about the size of the house and makes no bones about how small it is. Its a two bedroom but the entire home is about the size of your average living room, but you are not shocked by it. The one "complaint" I would make is the minor contortion required to use the bathroom but really its not an issue at all maybe if you are a bit larger it would be. Everything is clearly labeled from the switches to where things belong. The best part is Cliff is available 24 hours a day and insists that you call him regardless of the time if you have any issues. There is no room to complain about how guests are taken care of from booking to check out.
While there Cliff has provided all the tools necessary so there is no need to worry about packing extras. Pots and pans, cooking sheets, coffee filters, can openers etc. are available for use. In addition to a tv, a VCR and a small movie selection is available. Its not much but its one of those little touches that make this stay enjoyable.
The location is right off of a main road but is far enough back that you wouldn't know it. While im sure it depends on who is staying around you; while we stayed it was extremely quiet. There was no light around so you could see a star filled sky at night. Additionally you are a 10 minute walk away from a drugstore, grocery store, a pizza place and a bus stop.
Overall if you are looking to stay at Martha's Vineyard for a "low" price but still get first class service this is the place. All the comforts of home are available to you, but you will relax in a far away setting.Response from Clif - 06/23/2010

Multiple family members use these rentals whenever we are in the Vineyard. The houses are always spotless and super comfortable.
If there is availability, it is a must rent. You are located close to everything, dining, bar, beach, etc.
Would recomend this rental to anyone. -

This was our second time renting from Clif. He has carefully thought of everything one might want on vacation in his well-appointed rental homes. While located in a quiet wooded setting, the house managed to be near everything: a bike path, conservation land, a state forest, beaches, restaurants, shopping, a supermarket...even a bus stop if need be. The house was spotlessly clean upon arrival. You won't be disappointed.

The location of the home could not be better for beach and town activities. The home itself was very clean throughout. Free Wifi was a plus for me. Not having to bring linens and towels very helpful. The house had central aC which was important for my family. The owner was extremely helpful with the rental, and I can only say good things about the entire experience.
