We really enjoyed our stay at Lady Wynd and wished it had not been so brief. The apartment was spotlessly clean and fitted out to a high standard. There were lots of unexpected small touches, tea, coffee, biscuits, cereal, even milk and water chilling in the fridge. Added to this the location was wonderful and we certainly hope to return.

What an absolutely exceptional experience. No attention to detail has been spared. There are so many personal touches and care to ensure that every need is met from a welcoming basket of tea, coffee, cereals to even finding fresh milk in the fridge. We were exhausted after weeks of travelling and this apartment was like a haven of warmth, comfort and relaxation.

Stayed here for 3 nights in September and was very happy with the apartment. Jayne made the booking very easy - all done vie e-mail, and was very conscientious.
We only experienced a little bit of noise from beer bottles being emptied into bins nearby, which is to be expected when you are so central, and it was at a reasonable hour so did not wake us up.
Small but perfectly formed. Nice big clean bathroom (always a plus) with soap, shower gel etc. provided.
Great location- a minute walk to the pubs, just over 5 minute walk to the Royal Mile. There's also a Sainsburys local about 2 minutes away.
Dishwasher wasn't washing properly so had to do it all by hand, but as there were only 2 of us this wasn't a problem.
Would definitely stay here again. -

There are shops very close to.
I absolutely recommand this flat.

My cousin and I rented the Lady Wynd flat for 5 days in april. The owner made the rental process easy and was very helpful. The flat was small but had everything we needed and we had a very good holiday in Edinburgh and surrounding country, using this very centrally located flat as our base. I would definitely go back and would recommend the flat to friends and family.

My husband and I stayed at Lady Wynd with our twin daughters. The apartment is lovely and well furnished.
It is in a great central area for exploring Edinburgh.
We would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone.

We are in our 70s and we have rented this accommodation on many occasions. The fact that we keep coming back must say something about the standard of this comfortable flat.
We have always been made very welcome and Jayne has been attentive to all our requirements.
The flat is centrally situated in the old part of the city, just off the famous Grassmarket, and is surrounded by history. It is close to many pubs and restaurants of great character.
The early morning view from the end of Lady Wynd up to the imposing bulk of the Castle provides a dramatic photo opportunity.
Although it is only yards from the buzz of the city, the flat is an oasis of peace. -

Nice apartment though hard to find--get very specific directions if you rent. Telephone did not work at all---a safety issue since we did not have a cell phone with us and the apt. is fairly isolated up an alley. Two disturbing features were the amount of trash one has to look at from the living room window in an adjacent alley(or pull the drapes)--and the constant clatter of beer bottles being dumped into trash containers all weekend long 24/7 from nearby bars. On the positive side: comfortable furnishings, nice bed, large bathroom, easy walk up hill to Royal Mile and generally a good area of Edinburgh.

Hi there we are glad you enjoyed your stay in general in the centre of Edinburgh as you did say comfortable furnishings, nice bed, large bathroom, easy walk up hill to Royal Mile and generally a good area of Edinburgh. the rubbish is blown from the main st and at the weekends i am sorry you heard the noise of the bottles being emptied but the bars are not open all night just very late at the weekends ,also
,i am so sorry the phone did not work as virgin phones had a problem at the time you were there ,the phone normally only acepts in coming calls and you can make emergency calls also, most apartments dont have the use of a phone but i ike to be able to phone you direct should you contact me with a problem ,i did however email you during your stay and also explained that the taxis are also avilable at the apex hotel 5 mins walk away we normally get good reviews at this apartment , but most apartments in the city centre will get some noise if they are very central but thank you for your comments in general best wishes -

Our stay at this apartment could not have been better. We felt comfortable and totally relaxed there. It provided the ideal base for us to visit all the places we wished without having to walk for any length of time or resort to taxis. The proximity of the Grassmarket and its variety of restaurants and bars would provide any and all tastes in dining and entertainment.
One of our favourite stops each day was the cafe at St. Giles Cathedral where fresh, home-made food is served in a peaceful and clean environment and is only a short staicase away from some of the most beautiful architecture to be seen anywhere. The daily recitals during the festival are a treat not to be missed. -

This flat is centrally located in old town. The entry is in a small alley, which gave us pause initially, but we had no problems nor were we disturbed by noise at night. It is well furnished and cozy, though a bit chilly at the height of winter. The owners were kind and attentive. Recommended for short or long stays in Edinburgh.

2 of us stayed here over a freezing weekend with heavy snow falls and icy roads. Flat was attractive, warm and inviting, and very easy to get to and from on foot during our visit. Everything we needed was available and check-in was simple. Would strongly recommend as a tourist bolt-hole, though parking might be expensive if you came by car.

Relativement calme (sauf week-end ..) Propriétaire attentionnée et serviable Nous sommes arrivés tard dans la nuit et le lendemain matin nous avions tout pour faire un petit déjeuner (café, lait, céréales..)

The location was great, right by the castle, central, with plenty of things to see & do right outside the door. Jayne and Antonio were extremely friendly and helpful, and more than happy to go that extra bit further to ensure my stay was great. Excellent service both during booking procedure & on arrival. All queries answered quickly & effectively.
Newly refurbished, with high quality fittings & finish.
Location is very central, just off the Grassmarket and close to Castle, Princes Street, Old Town, and West End.
From outside the property the view looks straight up at the Castle, but there are no views from inside the property - not a problem as there's plenty to entertain even in the middle of January! -

Did not expect the high standard that the flat gave, lots of room and all that we wanted and more. The outside entrance could put people off at first but this soon goes once in the building. People in charge very helpful.

My partner & I stayed here for a week & this apartment was a great choice. It's centrally located with lots of bars, pubs, restaurants & shops nearby & in walking distance of the main attractions.
The apartment itself was spotless & very well equipped with all you need for a comfortable stay, including a powerful shower & jacuzzi bath - just what is needed after a long day sightseeing! We were worried that it would be very noisy at night when we saw how close it was to so many bars, but were not disturbed at all.
The owners were very helpful, replied promptly to emails, and even allowed us to check in early when we arrived in pouring rain before we were due!
Highly recommended and we would definitely book this again for a return visit.
