SantarcangeloA great apartment in the heart of the Old Town of Edinburgh
Left on 12/24/2012 for a stay in November 2012
I really enjoyed my stay in Blair Street. Mr and Mrs Ciancia are very friendly and careful about their guests. They are always there if you need a hand or a suggestion on what you can do in Edinburgh. And the apartment is in a very central position. All attractions of the Old Town are within a walking distance, so is the train station and the airlink bus stop. And in five minutes walking you are in Princess St. and in the New Town. A lot of city buses stop nearby and You are surrounded by restaurants, pubs and shops. The flat is very clean and well furnished.
And also quiet and full of light. I stayed ther in November and the heating was working well. If you don't mind the stairs ( third floor without elevator ) it's really a wonderful place to spend your days, weeks or months in Edinburgh . -

The only negative thing I could say about this apartment is that you could hear the music from the nearby bar and from a tenant in the same building. We did however stay over a weekend. But the positives completely outdid the one small negative. Fantastic central location, everything you would need to cook a great meal in the kitchen. A selection of Dvd's in the cabinet next to the TV. Comfortable bed, iron, hairdryer, washing machine. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Vancouver, CanadaNicely Renovated and Perfect Location
Left on 10/11/2012 for a stay in October 2012
The flat was clean, comfortable and nicely reno'd with passable water pressure for Edinburgh (not up to Cdn standards but ok). The kitchen was well stocked with the necessities and there were even small touches like biscuits and fresh milk in the fridge to help us get by as we got settled. The flat is just off the Royal Mile so a perfect location as far as we were concerned for sightseeing and we didn't have any problems with noise from inside the building or out.
One drawback to this flat is the stairs: three flights of curved, uneven stairs in a dismal concrete stairway. The other? Parking (but Jayne made sure I had the link to a website to help solve that little dilemma). Really, that's where the negatives end and the positives far outweigh the negatives. We highly recommend this and will stay again when we're back in the country for sure. -

We were very happy with the location and comfort of this apartment. It was also bright and spacious, very clean and modern- everything that we could have hoped for. As for the location, you couldn't be any closer to the heart of downtown and yet this street was very quiet and peaceful.

Being just 1 minute from the Royal Mile, this flat could not be in a better location. Wouldn't recommend to anyone with walking difficulties as there are 3 flights of stairs and a steep hill up to the Royal Mile but for everyone else it's great. The flat has everything you would require for your stay and is very clean when you arrive.

Melbourne Australia21 Blair Street - recommend for sure!
Left on 03/17/2012 for a stay in February 2012
21 Blair Street was great. The apartment is very central on the royal mile so you just have to exit the front door to experience all that Ediburgh has to offer. The apt is up 60 stairs, which was fine for me. There was a separate large lounge, separate large bathroom and the bedroom with queen bed which was comfy was a good size too. Everything was fresh and clean. Jayne and Tony are only too happy to help if you need anything, just tell them. Heating was great for winter. Hairdyer, ironing board, extra pillows blankets - anything you could need was there. The apt is very secure with a self closing (sometime loudly) front complex door and then two locks on the apartment door. The apt faces away from the street however you can here the clock in Hunter Square chiming and it may be noisy in summer; there was some yelling from kids in the street some nights but it didn't really wake me. Overall I had a great stay and would happily rent there again.

We had a great stay in 21 Blair Street. The apartment is very bright, sunny and comfortable. It is brilliantly situated in the old part of Edinburgh. You can walk to all the major attractions easily and it is near the main rail and bus stations. The apartment is perfect for a couple with a very comfortable double bedroom. It can sleep up to four with two on a sofa bed. The facilities are excellent and the apartment well equipped. The apartment is on the third floor; do not be put off by this as it is well worth the climb!
The apartment gets a definite 10/10. The only problem I would say is that it is in an area with a lot of night life and it is noisy on a Friday and Saturday night. Otherwise it is the most brilliant place to stay. Cheaper than a hotel with much more comfort and independence. We will definitely be going again.

A great apartment in the centre of the royal mile with loads of pubs and restaurants nearby. Close to waverley station and easy walk to all the attractions we wanted to see.
It is on the 3rd floor and there is no lift so beware but would highly recommend this apartment to anyone! -

Left on 11/07/2011 for a stay in October 2011
Blair Street apartment made our stay very easy and very comfortable. It is an extremely spacious apartment with a large living room and bedroom. It was also very clean and had all the facilities we need. There was even a couple of small cereals, tea, coffee and a couple of biscuits for us! It is literally a 20 second walk to the Royal Mile, 2 minute walk to Grassmarket and a 5 minute walk to Princess Street. Over all a lovely stay for my Fiance and I!

We both loved the apartment and its wonderful location, just 150 yards from the Royal Mile down from the Tron Church and so a great location for exploring the old town and a 5 minute walk from the New Town. The communal stairs where slightly off putting and we had a visitor in them on Saturday morning from the previous night asleep at the bottom of them, though generally clean and looked after. The apartment is on the third floor and did get tough work after walking all day, though this really wasn’t a problem.
We were very impressed not only with the location but the cleanliness of the apartment as well everything was clean and tidy. We loved the tea, coffee and biscuits and saved the march up and down the stairs for a brew after we arrived.
From start to finish in the booking process Jayne was very helpful and professional. The information within the apartment was useful and I really liked the payment system through PayPal as it gave us extra confidence when booking (something no many companies do).
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and without question return to this apartment, maybe next time use it as a base to explore more of wonderful Scotland. -

Left on 07/07/2011 for a stay in June 2011
Blair street is just off the Royal Mile in the Old Town of Edinburgh. An uninviting stairwell leads to apartment 9 on the 3rd floor. But its well worth lugging the old suitcases. The apartment is bright and cosy. A lobby leads off to the kitchen in front, a bedroom to the left, and a living room/second bedroom and a bathroom to the right. The bathroom is large and modern, the kitchen is functional and friendly, and the bedrooms well lit and comfortable. There are towels, blankets, tea, coffee, biscuits, guidebooks, a radio in the kitchen, and toiletries in the loo. We loved our brief stay here.

Communication with the owner was easy and directions were excellent. The apartment is bright and modern and well equipped. A nice range of tea ,coffee etc were provided to get us started and there are plenty of small supermarkets around. We used the wifi provided to help find everything we wanted to see and had an excellent tapas meal one evening, nowhere seemed very far away. Highly recommended

Left on 10/30/2010 for a stay in September 2010
When we step inside our home there is a feeling of warmth, it is spacious and clean This is what we found at 21 Blair St The lounge room was spacious, the kitchen very well equipped, the bedroom comfortable and the bathroom very clean Many details are included from the heated towel rails to the phone for incoming calls The location is so convenient being close to the Royal Mile, shops, excellent restraurants, bus, train, tourist information, libraries and galleries Everything is at your fingertips There are three flights of stairs to the unit but when you reach the top you will be well rewarded! We would thoroughly recommend this place and look forward to staying again the next time we visit Edinburgh

Blair Street is a super appartment, right in the centre of Edinburgh, literally minutes from the Royal Mile. The appartment is beautifully clean, decorated with taste and despite the location, very quiet. It is not suitable for the unfit, being up a rather steep tenement stair, but otherwise it is excellent, value for money and a real home from home!

What a lovely location I am now in the 2nd last week of 7 weeks of travel through the UK and Europe and Blair St would be by far the most central and well priced accomodation of all! Jayne and Tony were very helpful and it really felt like a home our only regret is that we couldnt stay longer!

We were at the Blair street appartement in may 2009 and we liked it a lot. The renters answered all our questions when we got there and the location is as good as it can be. We are at the center of evrything. The appartment is well furnished and really quiet. When we first saw that there were a lot of pub nearby, we were a little bit afraid but being at the back of the street is really nice.

Norwich, Norfolk, UKLovely, compact apartment-great for city centre visit.
Left on 06/04/2009 for a stay in May 2009
Myself, my son and partner stayed in Blair Street for the weekend in Edinburgh.
The flat itself was clean, well presented, tastefully decorated and furnished, and was comfortable with all the amenities as promised, such as dishwasher, washing machine, towels. Small touches like spare shampoo, soap, teabags, coffee, cereals and milk to keep you going, if you hadn't had time to food shop yet, were nice. There are places nearby to get food supplies too.
Jayne was very friendly and check-in/check-out of the flat were trouble-free.
We arrived in a hire car that we used for the previous days of our trip and we were returning the car that day. I could envisage that if you come by car, parking might be a bit limited and expensive for a long stay. However, I can't be sure since we did not have to worry about it over our weekend stay.
The flat is well placed and it was easy to get to all the attractions, Waverley Bridge was very close too and we could buses easily from there. And, if you like your restaurants, pubs and night-life, they were all easy to reach from this flat.
So I'd recommend this flat if you like the buzz and hub-bub of the city and to be close to attractions, pubs, restaurants in Edinburgh centre.
