This apartment is within walking distance of the Edinburgh Castle and the center of the city, including the train and bus stations. Yet it open on to a quiet park and is so peaceful we would have slept all day after our transcontinental travel if we hadn't set an alarm. The apartment is near new and well kept with all possible amenities. There is a grocery store and several coffee shops in the same block. Edinburgh itself was a joy... a small city and easy to enjoy simply by walking. We enjoyed the Military Tatoo at the Castle as well as the Fringe activities in the City...these are all activities that occur in the month of august. We did take out of town tours to Loch Ness and St andrews by bus and the collection point for those was also easily accessible by walking from the apartment.

A great apartment in a very central location in Edinburgh. Coffee shops and supermarket within the complex and just a few minutes walk from the Royale Mile. The apartment is very stylish, spacious, modern and clean. Ideal for families or a small group of friends to explore the city and who would like a comfortable place to stay. Would definately recommend it!

This is was a great place for our adult family to gather--4 adults--with ample room for all of us. It was in the center of the university, near the park if you like morning exercise, good restaurants, easy cabs, buses, and a grocery store. We enjoyed going to Peter's Yard for coffee, and this was a minute away! The kitchen was very adequate for cooking a Thanksgiving meal and enjoying home-cooked breakfasts. The view of the Meadows was gorgeous and watching the weather come and go was relaxing. The beds are very comfortable, the amenities were super! Overall, I would highly recommend it. My only complaint would be that the sitting area needed another comfy chair like the one that is already there, especially if there are 4 adults. We will definitely plan to stay here during our next visit to Edinburgh!

Dad, an Edinburgh medical school graduate (class of 1961) had this to say: "this location offered the most wonderful nostalgic experience, and would for anyone who had spent time at the Old Royal Infirmary of the Edinburgh Medical School."
The vacation rental is in one of the new-builds of the Quartermile site - all modern - glass, steel and polished stone. And situated between the old Georgian wings of the Infirmary, which projected away from us, and could be admired from our floor-to-ceiling sliding glazing, framing the Meadows and providing us with the most spectacular view.
This vacation rental unit offered us such comfort: self-catering, laundry facilities (we all traveled carry-on only, so this was wonderful), a generously sized family room for regrouping and chilling out together in the evenings. With Sainsbury's literally around the corner, and Peter's Pantry (fabulous new Scandinavian cafe) a stone's throw from the front door, we were all set.
Yes, the bathrooms were swanky enough; the kitchen too. No complaints. But it's the location and the view that really spoke to me and my family. We were a group of five (the medical school grad mentioned above, 2 of his children, 1 spouse and 1 teenage grand-child).
Finally, let me mention that we all appreciated the short, brisk walk to the Royal Mile, which seemed to take only 10-15 minutes.
I would return in a flash.

We recently attended the Fringe and the apartments are perfectly located for where the bulk of the entertainment is presented. Quartermile is a beautiful, clean apartment, ideally suited for two couples or family alike. It is well run by astra who we found to be efficient and extremely helpful! We will be back!

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. It is centrally located for all the sights, restaurants, bars, the Royal Mile and the Castle and yet close to a huge park (The Meadows) where we enjoyed long walks on tree lined paths. The apartment is very well equipped and has a lovely large living space with views onto the park through a wall of windows. We did not need a car although it does have parking. We are looking forward to a return visit.

This apartment is superb in every way. The location is very convenient for the city, a walk to the Castle takes about 15 minutes. Although it's in the city it's a very quiet location. The apartment is new, nicely decorated and well equiped. We were 2 couples, so the 2 bathrooms were welcome. There was a small Sainsbury's and a couple of coffee shops just a short walk away. The view from the lounge window is impressive, it over looks a large park which appeared to be very popular for running etc.
The parking space was important to us, and we liked the fact that the car park could be accessed directly from the apartment block.I found the access a little difficult the firat time but once I understood the way the "pass" worked it was fine. Inside the garage the stairs to the parking level were locked, so a short detour was needed to get to the car.
I'm not sure I really mastered the TV and we couldn't find the instructions for the oven/grill. The wi-fi work well and was easy to get connected.
Overall, one of the best places I've rented. I have no hesitation recommending it for a holiday and I hope one day I might get the chance to return.

Our stay was fantastic and our apartment was beautiful and comfortable. The
view on to the park each morning was perfect for starting the day, watching
students, runners and cyclists pass by. The location was well suited to our
friend working at Mercy Core, and each day we walked all over the city to enjoy
the castles and historic sites.
The food in Edinburgh was fantastic and as a vegetarian I was delighted with
the abundance of fabulous- meat free foods available at really good
restaurants. There is a market next to the apartment building which offers
wonderful and fresh foods, many daily newspapers, and also a coffee shop is
right there too.
