Chicago, LondonGreat location, wonderful stay
Left on 11/14/2012 for a stay in October 2012
Our first trip to beautiful Edinburgh was made even better thanks to Lynn and her apartment. We were traveling with our 11-month-old so we chose to stay at an apartment rather than a hotel. Lynn, the lovely and gracious host, met us upon check-in and showed us everything we needed. She even put in electrical outlet covers knowing that we had our baby with us.
The apartment exceeded our expectations--Lynn saw to that. It was comfortable, very clean, and had all the amenities one would need. There was even milk, juice, and yogurt to "get us started." The guide books and tourist information that were in the living room were helpful. There were emergency phone numbers such as hospitals' in the kitchen. The location was perfect; it was close to Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile. There are many restaurants, cafes, and grocery stores within walking distance. We would not hesitate to stay here again. -

Right on the door step of all the attractions, this apartment exceeded our expectations. Lynn welcomed us to the City and gave us a good overview of the area. Nothing was too much trouble. We even dropped our suitcases off early too.
Unfortunately, we did not have the best weather so having the apartment centrally located was fantastic. I would recommend this apartment to any couple, young or old, who want a great base within the City. -

My wife and I stayed at the apartment for 2 nights and it was a pleasure. Lynn was terrific meeting us and showing us around and giving us great tips on Edinburgh. The apartment was ideally located to get to all the major attractions and it was very comfortable and well tended. We were there during the Fringe Festival so the neighborhood was rocking all night long, I work in NYC and I never heard so many police sirens or drunken people in my life but it added to the charm in a way.
All in all it was an excellent place to explore Edinburgh, we would go back. -

I have stayed thousands of nights out in good places & bad. This is one of the good ones & it is very good. From the beginning Lynn Murray was communicative & responsive to inquiries. Her attention to guests is absolutely first-rate. The apartment is properly described in the listing. It was perfectly clean. The bed & furniture were comfortable. There were plenty of great towels. The appliances work exactly right. Lynn continued to be available right through the end of our stay. Many thanks.

Everything about this flat was as advertised and we especially found
it very convenient to walk to some central sights - such as the castle, Royal Mile etc.. The info and maps at the flat were used a lot by us. Wish we could have stayed longer. -

Left on 05/31/2012 for a stay in May 2012
My friend and I stayed at Lynn's apartment for 3 nights in May, 2012. And we would definitely stay there again! :)
I had inquired about several properties on various websites before booking this apartment. Lynn was very quick to reply to all of my emails, and was more than helpful and friendly. In person, Lynn is a very warm and gracious host. She had lots of information for us on arrival, about Edinburgh but also about the apartment. Information she had thoughtfully printed out as well, just in case we forgot any of it along the way.
A cup of tea is always first on the agenda for me when I arrive at an apartment, and thankfully Lynn had the kitchen very well stocked for us!
All in all, the apartment was very cosy and absolutely perfect for our 3 nights away. Both my friend and I adore the city of Edinburgh, and all of it's wonderful major attractions were within short walking distance. Just as importantly, there was a Tesco around the corner! :D
Lynn, thank you very much again for making our stay so enjoyable; even with all that Scottish rain, we had a fantastic time! All the best!

We rented this flat for several days in July 2011. The owner, Lynn, is gracious, friendly and helpful. She stocked our lovely and very functional kitchen with breakfast foods, coffee and tea, and left much helpful local information. The kitchen is clean, modern, sunny and bright, and the washer-dryer came in very handy. Lynn has stocked the kitchen with every possible utensil that you might need. Bathroom is beautiful and spotless. Beds were ultra-comfortable (including the sofabed in the lounge). I traveled with my two almost-grown children, and we had plenty of room and space. The entire place is tasteful and understatedly elegant. When we left, Lynn came over to say goodbye and to call us a taxi. Our stay in enchanting Edinburgh was made all the more special because of this place and its owner. We'll be back!

LondonGood location, and value for money
Left on 06/23/2011 for a stay in May 2011
I stayed in the apartment the last bank holiday in May. I would certainly go back!
The apartment is an excellent location - I walked to both the castle (up a hill) and to Prince's Street. It was walkable from the main train station, but a taxi was inexpensive (I think £5) so worth it if you have luggage!
There was a Tesco and Sainsburys literally 2 minutes walk away. This was the best thing for me, as I could cook my own meals and so saved money.
The flat had a lift, and was well proportioned for 1 or 2 people. A couple of reviews mentioned noise, but I didn't notice anything. The bed was really comfortable, so I actually had a really good sleep.
Lynn (the owner) was great. She let me check in before 11am as that was when I arrived. There was also milk, and some basic ingredients for cooking which was very much welcomed. Great service!!! -

Our Edinburgh experience could not be more positive. The self-catering apt was very comfortable apt and the location to major sights was perfect. The owner helped us in every way. Just a very comfortable apt with a comfortable bed and well appointed amenities to make it a great visit. Especially enjoyed the Royal Museum and Roslyn chapel, Georgian House and, of course, the Royal Mile.

Left on 02/16/2011 for a stay in February 2011
We stayed for four nights over the Wales Scotland rugby weekend. Great welcome from owner, she had provided far more than just the basics in terms of kitchen requirements.
Comfortable bed, well equipped shower room and comfortable lounge. Really suited us as we needed to spend time indoors and we had the space and facilities to meet our needs.
Flat is well situated for exploring much of the Old Town, short walk to the Grassmarket, twenty minutes to Princess street. Theatres and cinemas within ten minutes walk. Huge range of bars and restaurants. Food stores for those eating in.
Would definitely return. -

Love this apartment! It's perfect for a city break or for a business trip. My check-in time was particularly accommodating to me, and Lynn was very helpful and friendly in general during my stay. The decor is modern and comfy - perfect size for 1-2 people. It's very centrally located to theatres, restaurants and shops. If staying at the weekend, be prepared for some level of chatter outside in the small hours, but nothing that would put me off staying there, and this is to be expected in central locations. Would definitely recommend this to others and stay here again.

We stayed here for a week while in the city for a conference and vacation. The location was incredibly convenient to the cool parts of the city - Old Town, New Town, Grassmarket, etc. The flat was beautifully furnished, had internet, TV, a comfortable bed, and really just made us feel so comfortable in a foreign place. We loved that Lynn thoughtfully brought over a starter pack of food for us upon our arrival! Thank you to Lynn for being so great and making us feel at home!

Not having been to UK and in Edinburgh in particular, most of our research for our holiday accomodation has been based on the Net and past reviews. Even with the reviews, you have to be circumspect and perhaps take it with a pinch of salt given that we all have varying needs and wants.
From Day 1, Lyn Murray was prompt and professional in the way she dealt with our preliminary enquiry. She was generous with her time and advice especially after we lost our way once we arrived in Edinburgh. She was on site to greet us, warm and friendly and gave us an overview of the apartment and pointed out the areas of interest in the City.
The apartment is clean and modern and was more than adequately furnished with all the mods and cons. The location on East Fountainbridge road is far more central than what it would appear on the Internet. You walk down Lothian Rd and you are in Princes St. Everything was nearby and the Indian restaurant Gandhi's ..less than 100 metres away is certainly worth trying.
We are happy to add our names to all the favourable reviews on this apartment. Arguably, this apartment would be the best place we had stayed in during our 4 weeks in UK. On a personal front, Lyn is also a delightful person to deal with. We'll definitely be staying there again when we visit Edinburgh next.

My husband and I stayed in this apartment for two weeks and it was lovely! It had everything you could possibly need and was an easy walk to all of the main sights and attractions including the Grassmarket, Royal Mile and Princes Street! The landlady, Lynn was fantastic and took care of all of our needs. She was very helpful in showing us where our way around town based on our personal interests and was available to answer any of our questions. We were surprised to find a partially stocked refrigerator and pantry upon our arrival and also after our first week there. I highly recommend this apartment and would definitely stay here again!

Left on 08/31/2010 for a stay in July 2010
This apartment was our first experience instead of using an overseas hotel. We corresponded several times in advance with the owner and booked using PayPal.
When we arrived, she met us at the door and let us in. She gave us all the details about the apartment. It was newly refurbished as a rental property. Everything was new and handy. She has thought of everything, including some food items, coffee, tea, and other things. Even a wide variety of books and brochures about Edinburgh were included. Satellite TV was also excellent.
Kitchen was well equipped, even with a washer-dryer.
The host answered many questions; she returned the morning we left, and even called a taxi for us to go to the train station.
Our experience here has convinced us to use apartments from now on instead of hotels. We strongly recommend this opportunity. Thanksagain Lynn!! -

For the first moment we reserve this apartment, I can only say that was top class service - excellent communication and clarity (emails, personal contact), availability and flexibility...The apartment was really clean and really fresh ambient and well decorated with all you can expect for a short stay (and above expectations - internet w/ wireless access, fresh food on the fridge, clear instructions and many flyers, maps to help you enjoy the city, nice flat TV screen, DVD w/ movies, Hifi) - Bedroom - Amazing bed (sleep like a "baby" - really quite place /street) and a clean/nice bathroom with all you need. The location cannot be better with a short walk to the main city attractions of the old town, night life and restaurants. Well what can I say more - quality vs price there's no way you will get this on Hotel in Edinburgh .It was my first time that I rented an apartment for weekend break and I think that going forward I will opt more times for this solution. Thank you - by the way Edinburgh is amazing!

We stayed two nights (31 May and 1 June) and had a very pleasant stay. The apartment is very clean, modern and well equipped and in a superb location - a short walk to most attractions. The kitchen is a good size with everything we needed. Lynn is a very welcoming host and we found everything in the apartment that we needed to make our stay comfortable. The neighbourhood around the apartment is fairly quiet and has a number of supermarkets, banks and restaurants. It was my kids' first time to Edinburgh and the whole experience, including the apartment, exceeded our expectations.

LondonIdeal for a Couple - Close to Edinburgh Castle a beautiful flat!
Left on 02/12/2010 for a stay in November 2009
During our maiden visit to Edinburgh, we stayed at the Earl Grey Court Apartment on East Fountainbridge for 2 nights. We took a taxi from the airport to the Apartment which took approx.25 mins and cost £16.50. The exterior was a bit of a surprise but once we were let in, we were delighted because the apartment was warm and cosy, considering the outside weather. The apartment is a one bedroom flat, everything is brand new, from new carpets to a clean and beautiful bathroom, the kitchen has everything there for self service including tea bags, butter, bread, milk, shortbread and, even washing-up liquid and bin liners! The lounge is also beautiful, there were plenty of DVDs to watch, there were a lot of tourist information guides on Edinburgh. We were thrilled to see that we were less than a 5 minute walk to the grassmarket and a 10 minute walk to Edinburgh Castle. Location is perfect to visit Edinburgh. The owner, Lynn is only a phone call away and always cheerful and helpful. We strongly recommend this place to any one visiting Edinburgh for its perfect location, ambience, convenience and not to mention reasonable rates. The area outside the apartment was safe and quiet, its a 5 min walk to Superdrug, 1 min walk to Gandhi Indian Restaurant, and a 4 min walk to the nearest RBS cash machine. The bus stop to the airport was directly opposite to the Apartment, so on the way back to the airport, we took the bus which cost £1.20 each and took 40 minutes. On our first night in Edinburgh we ate at Whiski on the Royal Mile, the food was outstanding for a perfect winter, we had scottish steak ale and chips, and a lamb dish, on the second night we had a take away at the Indian restaurant called Gandhi also on the same side of road as the Apartment, the food was beautiful which chunky meat pieces, and the restaurant was fully booked which is always a good sign, the price was reasonable for around £13 for one main meal with rice.
I hope you enjoy your stay as much as I did. -

Dublin, IrelandA perfect Hogmanay hideaway
Left on 01/15/2010 for a stay in December 2009
We arrived to a bitterly cold Edinburgh on the 30th December 2009 to be greeted very warmly by Lynn, the owner of the apartment. She had stocked the fridge and cupboards with provisions and gave us a bottle of bubbly to ring in the New Year. She spent time showing us how everything worked and making sure we were comfortable before taking her leave.
The apartment itself is on the first floor of a very quiet block, it is very spacious, ideal for a couple. It is less than a 10 minute walk to the Grassmarket where there are lots of cafes, bars and restaurants and less than another ten to the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle.
If you are going to Edinburgh for a quiet weekend or for the upcoming rugby internationals this apartment would be the perfect choice. I hope to get back there very soon.

Left on 12/23/2009 for a stay in December 2009
Communication before arrival was excellent with Lynn ensuring that we had all the information we needed prior to arrival in Edinburgh and asking if there was anything we wanted bought in.
The apartment itself is of a high specification - the bed is particularly comfortable as is the lovely leather sofa in the living room.
The location is also very good with it being just a short walk from the grassmarket.
On top of everything, what made it really special were the extra touches that were made (a loaf of bread having been bought, plus top quality coffee and a carton of milk).
All in all it felt like a home from home and I would have no hesitation booking again or recommending to anyone wanting to enjoy a stay in Edinburgh. -

My parents and I rented the apartment this Summer and really were surprised by the high standard.
PRICE was quite high but negotiable. Still good value, also regarding the high prices anywhere...
The APARTMENT was clean, and tastefully decorated. When we arrived, the fridge was already filled with some basic food, which was really nice.
All equiptment seemed quite new and of good quality.
We had a LIVINGROOM with TV, DVD-Player with a collection of films, stereo with a variety of cds, books about Scotland and Edinburgh, the couch was transformable into a big good quality bed. The kitchen was small but effectively designed also including a freezer and a washing machine.
The BEDROOM was also nice and cosy.
LOCATION was optimal, a footwalk to Edinburgh Castle and to the main street were we could find many opportunities to dine and to shop.
There was a good bus connection with buses coming along every few minutes going in most directions.
SUMMARY
Very recommendable, we would definetely return there!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Earl Grey Court Apartment for a long weekend for an international rugby match. I was so pleased that we had chosen to stay here as the apartment was a perfect size for a couple and both clean and modern with everything you could need for a short or longer stay. We arrived quite late on the Friday evening, but Lynn was more than happy to meet us at the apartment to show us around and hand over the keys as well as to provide some recommendations on what to do during our visit. The apartment is within walking distance of all the sights and I cannot recommend this place highly enough!
