Located at the top of the world famous Edinburgh Royal Mile, this listed 1850’s city centre apartment really does have all the delights that Edinburgh has to offer!

With the majestic Edinburgh Castle as a neighbour, the infamous Greyfriars Bobby landmark 5 minutes walk and the Palace of Holyrood House 10 minutes away, this apartment really does offer a rich tapestry of events and attractions on your door step that will leave you breathless.

Living Area

The split level converted stable is traditionally decorated with neutral tones and rich dark flooring, emphasising a real luxurious Scottish theme. The open plan living roo...m, kitchen and dining area is the perfect place for those romantic at heart with thick wool curtains and low level lighting.The living area is set up with a large comfy sofa (converting to a double sofa bed if required) and decorated with beautiful plaid soft furnishings throughout. The living area also has a wall mounted plasma TV, Virgin TV, DVD player, ipod docking station and free Wi-Fi access.

Kitchen

Should you choose to eat in, the fitted kitchen includes everything you could need including an electric hob, electric oven, microwave oven, washing machine, fridge dishwasher, ample crockery, cutlery and cookware. A separate dining room table and 4 chairs is the ideal to enjoy your ‘Haggis, Neeps and Tatties’.

Bedroom

The quirky original internal steps leading to the master bedroom will not fail to impress with the soft woollen runner underfoot. The master bedroom’s super king size bed is made up with 600 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets that could rival even the best hotels ensuring you sleep soundly!

Bathroom

The en-suite is equipped with bright soft Egyptian cotton towels for your use and includes a luxurious bath, Power Shower, basin and W.C.

Enjoy the under floor heating on those ‘nippy’ Edinburgh mornings.

Check in is from 4.00pm onwards on the agreed arrival date. Keys are collected from a Secure Keybox so there is no time-restriction on arrival. Checkout is 10.00am on the morning of the agreed departure date. Parking details If arriving by car, follow signs to Edinburgh Castle into Edinburgh. Parking by meter is available on Johnston Terrace, where a set of steps leads down to Victoria Terrace. The property can also be accessed from George IV Bridge if mobility is an issue, although please note that there are a number of steps inside the property between levels.

  This apartment had a lovely charm about it, with some beautiful decoration. In an absolutely ideal location, we were incredibly happy to be able to walk to everywhere we wanted to see in Edinburgh. Great to have a television with many channels and WiFi with strong signal.
  
  However there were definitely a few things that could be improved upon. The boiler and heating was playing up throughout the entirety of our stay, and there were no blankets or anything we could use to warm ourselves up. We also had to find a nearby shop pretty quickly as there was no toilet roll in the bathroom or infact in the whole apartment. There seems to have been some basic home comforts completely overlooked in this apartment, and although very beautiful, it did not have all we needed. Nothing to hang towels on in the bathroom, and a slow draining plug in the bath so mid shower you realise you are ankle deep in water. The bath is a little awkward to get in and out of, so would definitely not recommend for the elderly, disabled or young children. The bedroom has nowhere to store clothes, so having to live out of our suitcases spoilt the comfort of it somewhat. The top drawers in the kitchen were locked, which there is no problem with, but I cant help but feel that it would have been more appropriate to lock the bottom two instead to save us having to crouch down to the floor just to get our cutlery. Unfortunately, there is no way of these people knowing our disappointment as there was no invitation for our feedback via any form.

  Home away from home

  We'd recommend this beautiful and tidy appartment to anyone going to Edinburgh. It's 5 minutes from the Edinburgh castle, only a stroll to the Royal Mile and shopping area, 10 min from a big supermarket and about 1 minute from a small one.
  
  It's a cosy, very homely place. We loved the queensize bed and atmospheric, warm bathroom with a bath big enough to fit us both. Loved the lightplan as well, very colourful. Well equiped kitchen and wifi worked like a charm. We were sad having to leave it!

  Amazing Location

  My husband and I really enjoyed our stay! We were in town for a 1/2 marathon and it was a great home base. Mostly quiet except for Friday night which is to be expected. Amanda was very responsive. Cool bathroom design, but could be difficult to navigate for an older person with limited mobility. Heated bathroom floor was really nice during the cold nights
  
  Location is great! You walk out the door, walk up a few steps and look up at the Castle.
