Perfect stay for a hen weekend. The house is gorgeou, huge rooms, perfectly decorated. Everything we neeeded and more. The owners were more than accomodating...even refunded us when one of our hens couldn't make it.
The house is 10 minutes from the centre and on a bus route so perfect location. -

Left on 01/31/2013 for a stay in December 2012
I can't say enough good things about this townhouse, I only wish I could live here! It was plenty spacious for our group of 12. Very warm cozy & welcoming. Stephen & Belinda have decked it with all of the comforts of home, to include welcome tea cakes & cookies. The kitchen was wonderful, even had coffee & tea ready for us upon arrival. It definitely was helpful having a place to stock our own food & beverages for the Hogmanay weekend festivities. The two parking spaces were great & street parking was easy to find, as well. It was only a 10-15 minute walk to the Royal Mile, which made it a fantastic location for our weekend itinerary. The pubs and restaurants in the area are wonderful, too! I only hope that I find another excuse to stay in such a great place. :)

I stayed here with my husband, son, and mother as well as bringing in some friends from other parts of the UK for a few nights. Excellent accommodation, quiet, well equipped, good location, and well looked after. Would stay here again in a heart beat. Do note that the stairs between floors are tall and they only people I would not recommend stay here are those with bad knees, vertigo, or ill health in general. Though I was five months pregnant when we stayed and I was fine!

BristolAbsolutely perfect, and excellent hosts!
Left on 09/14/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We booked this house to stay in for 3 nights over the august bank holiday. There were 10 of us in our party, and we were there for a wedding.
First of all - Belinda and Stephen could not possibly be more welcoming, friendly, flexible, helpful and communicative. I'd made a slight mistake in the booking and realised actually we needed 6 bedrooms for 10 people (not 5). As the website stated they had 2 extra beds, I contacted Belinda and Stephen to see if it was possible to move one of these beds into the dining room or conservatory. No problem whatsoever - They set the room up for us shifting the dining room furniture out the way, and it was perfect. Stephen also located the baby cot and high chair that we needed and got them out ready, as he met us at the property when we first got there. They definitely made me feel like it was no issue at all! Moreover whilst we were there, one of the windows unfortunately broke whilst my friend was opening it - We let the owners know, although it was an accident, they never asked a question, were absolutely fine, and returned our deposit in full within days of us getting back.
The apartment is every bit as luxury, clean, comfortable and modern as it looks in the photos. The living room is huge, and perfect for a large group to hang out together. The bedrooms are all lovely and exceptionally clean. Everything had been thought of - even little chocolates on the towels in our rooms, and lovely hand products in the bathrooms. It is also a perfect location, taking only about 15 minutes to walk into the city centre, and attend the many events going on at the Comedy Festival as we did. Unfortunately we never got a chance to use the garden, but hopefully we will be back in the future!
It was absolutely perfect, and in comparison to nearly every other apartment I looked at, it seemed extremely reasonable, at approximately £60 per person per night (10 people stayed 3 nights). Bearing in mind this was during the Fringe Festival and over the august Bank Holiday weekend, which must be one of Edinburgh's busiest weekends, and how luxury this apartment is, I thought that was an extremely cheap price!
I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone who is looking to go to Edinburgh in a large group. -

Bedrooms were spacious, beautiful modern bathrooms and we had all necessary facility's available. Would definitely come back here if we return to Edinburgh.

I booked with Belinda and Stephen as I wanted a house instead of hotel for my best friends hen weekend. This place just stood out as the perfect place.
Belinda and Stephen were so friendly and helpful from start to finish, even to the point of popping back to put some fresh flowers in the kitchen for us.
The house has to be seen to be believed as attention to detail was stunning! Hair dryers, towels all included, even hot water bottles and biscuits!!!
I will 100% come back here and would recommend this for a group of friends or family break. -

From the moment we found No32 online, through our several communications with Belinda and Stephen, culminating in our perfect weekend in the beautifully decorated, spacious house, our experience was perfect. Eight of us stayed in the very well-equipped house and eight others joined us for a day of celebrating my mothers 80 th birthday. We had plenty of room to socialise with the huge lounge, comfortable dining room and large kitchen without even venturing in to either the conservatory or pretty garden. There are five stylish bedrooms and two elegant bathrooms. The treats Stephen provided for us were much appreciated. We would definitely recommend No32 for a place for a large group to be very happy.

The Town House absolutely made our weekend perfect. We could not have asked for anything more from the accommodation and it set the tone beautifully for the group on a hen weekend.
The house was elegant, sophisticated and full of little touches and details that made it extra special. Everything we could have needed was provided. It makes an excellent base for exploring Edinburgh - if you ever want to leave it!
Belinda and Stephen made organising the weekend extremely easy. I would recommend The Townhouse to any group or family that wanted somewhere special to stay in Edinburgh.

One of the best vacation rentals that I've ever been to. And its not just the facilities and amenities that give it 5 stars. Its the attitude and approach of the owners - Stephen and Belinda. My family had a great 3 nights in Edinburgh in No. 32. Its got that old world charm, with all modern gizmos. Homely, cozy and comfortable. And we were totally surprised by how much Belinda had stocked in the kitchen for us. There are stores nearby for all that you may need. All in all...a wonderful holiday "home" and wonderful people who take care of it. Totally recommend !!

Exceptionally lovely, spacious and well-appointed house.Everything you could possibly need and about 15-20 minutes walk from the Centre of town. A perfect house for an extended family or group of friends on vacation. Stephen and Belinda are extremely helpful and efficient in arranging bookings and I cannot praise them highly enough.
Among all the many positives, only slight downside is the level of noise from traffic for the rooms at the front - although not a very heavily used road, light sleepers may prefer rooms at the back. -

I have just spent a weekend here with 8 other girls for my sister's hen party. The house is fantastic, unbelievably spacious (the outside is deceiving!), very comfortable and immaculate! The original features are in great condition and the staircase and lounge are particularly impressive.
Stephen and Belinda have really considered every detail, from the layout of the lounge furniture to the bathroom soaps & the chocolates sat on thick soft towels, all making the house feel luxurious yet very homely.
The house was perfect for having a night in with friends - everything you need in the kitchen (lots of space to cook for a large group and an island with seating which makes it a great social space), a generous dining room (comfortably sat 9 of us and you could easily squeeze a few more in - and I think there was a fold up table in case there are any more bodies) and a lounge with plenty of comfy seating for everyone. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all very impressive.
I think this property is perfect for any group get away - city break or just a chill-out weekend.
Thank you Stephen for great service! -

We rented the house for a Hen Do for 9 of us, the initially wow factor when we arrived set the scene for the rest of the weekend. Very flexible and helpful about checking inn and set up the rooms just how we wanted. Location was great as we could walk into the city centre. Having the big lounge was perfect for a "girlie" night of games on our first with the big comfy sofa - really can not do the house justice - you have to see it!! We had a fantastic time in Edinburgh and we all thought the house made it that little bit extra special and was such good value compared to staying in a hotel where we would have been separated for most of the weekend - all I can say is that we are all thinking of reasons to go stay again already. Thank you so much to Belinda & Stephen

The house is huge is there is plenty of room for big groups. The finishing touches of the smellies in the bathroom to the gingerbread men in kilts were great. The house is about a 10/15 minute walk from the castle, which was great.
The service from Stephen and Belinda was first class and could not of been anymore helpful.

No. 32 is a very large home that my family of 6 stayed in quite comfortably. Amenities include a fully functional kitchen and both a washer and dryer (not a combination machine like you find in many European rentals). A small but comfortable sun room overlooking a beautiful garden was the place of choice for our 2 younger boys. The house is walking distance to the heart of Edinburgh - so much so that we did not use our rental car at all. Thoughtful touches like soaps, shampoos, and delicious cookies were the icing on the cake. I think its important to note that you must be able to climb stairs, as (lovely) bedrooms are situated on several levels. But when you get to the top you have a view of Edinburgh Castle...worth the effort!

As we only have 4 days-time in Edinburgh, everyday, we spent a great deal of time driving about and it was great to return to "home" far-away-from home! In fact, we would have loved to have spent a day just in the house to cook and just enjoy the town-house.

The house itself is absolutely stunning and has been decorated to an extremely high standard. Aprt from its close proximity to the City Centre, the house has a small driveway, big enough to park 2 cars. This was a huge bonus, as parking in Edinburgh can be very expensive. If I could sum up the number32townhouse in one sentance it would be; A grandoise, glorious, Georgian, getaway.

LondonImmaculate, Luxurious Townhouse in great location
Left on 04/27/2010 for a stay in March 2010
We rented the Townhouse as a large group of friends (10 adults)for our annual pilgrimage to watch England v Scotland in the six nations. If you are like me organising a hotel for a group is a nighmare for rugby weekends, so it is ideal if you are looking for luxury self-catering near the centre of town situated in a quiet street off Lothian road, Princes Street is probably a 15 min walk away.
The Townhouse is a beautiful Edinburgh townhouse and is even better than the pictures suggests, although it doesn't look much from the outside, so we were pleasantly surprised.
Initially we were met by Belinda and Stephen to show us round, provide enough keys for the group. I think it was also to vet us to ensure we were going to treat it with the respect it deserves, you'll understand why as it's beautiful. The trays of shortbread & biscuits, milk in the fridge, usual tea/coffee, fresh towels and chocolates on every bed, shampoos etc were all very welcome. Belinda also made sure every guy had his own bed!
The property is very spacious with a large lounge, high ceilings, plasma TV etc, meant that there was plenty of room for everyone to relax in. There is also a separate dining room and a well equipped kitchen if you fancied a night in. Everything has been decorated to high standard with a modern contemporary style whilst maintaining the period features.
I have no hesitation in recommending staying at the Townhouse and will definately book it again. Many of the guys will be back with their families too!Belinda and Stephen are great hosts who'll really take care of you. Also check out their other place in case this is booked up:- www.no19theapartmentedinburgh.co.uk/ -

London, UKA brilliant stay in a brilliant property!
Left on 04/15/2010 for a stay in August 2009
We rented the Townhouse as a large group of friends (10-12 adults)
travelling to Edinburgh for a weekend during the Festival and really enjoyed
staying at the house.
It is ideal if you are looking for luxury self-catering near the centre of town
(the off street parking for the car is also helpful) without having to
mortgage your own house to pay for it. Princes Street is probably a 15 min
walk away. The Townhouse is a beautiful Edinburgh townhouse (as the
name suggests) and we absolutely loved staying there.
The Townhouse has a welcoming feel to it from the moment you walk in
the door (reflecting Belinda and Stephen's personalities as they are very
welcoming to their guests). Overall the property is very well-maintained.
Most of the bedrooms are on the large size (there was only one double that
I would describe as cosy but most were very spacious) and the large lounge
area meant that there was plenty of room for everyone to relax in. There is
also a separate dining room so there really is plenty of room. It is a period
property, but the bathrooms certainly are not dated and have been
refurbished in a modern contemporary style (great for lounging in the bath
after a long day of Festival shows). Importantly for us the kitchen certainly
had enough facilities for a group of our size which made our catering
arrangements much easier. There is also a garden out the back which if
you are lucky with the Scottish weather was a great asset to have.
I have no hesitation in recommending staying at the Townhouse and in
particular Belinda and Stephen who are great hosts who really take care of
their guests and their properties. We are booking to stay at one of their
other properties again this year (3rd year running). We haven't chosen the
Townhouse this year only because their other property is better located for
our itinerary this year.

No. 32 was everything we had hoped for and more. Our extended family of 8 adults spent a week at No. 32 during the Festival in August 2009. The large house met everyone's needs. While people were going in all directions during the day and in the evenings, we still spent many happy hours together talking in the large drawing room or preparing a meal in the well-equipped kitchen. No. 32's central location served as a convenient starting and ending point for each day's forays. The bedrooms, many of which were much larger than we had expected, were comfortable in every respect. We had a car for trips outside the city, and the private parking space served us well.
The magic of photography sometimes improves the look of a place, but the pictures don't do No. 32 justice.
As a vacation destination, Edinburgh had something for everyone. The culturally-inclined had difficulty chosing among the the hudreds of offerings. Our golfers could play some of the world's greatest courses and return home in time for dinner and a show. Our adult "kids" enjoyed the night-time bar scene. And no one got sunburned.

From the moment you enter this beautiful property in a good location within Edinburgh's centre you are overwhelmed with the traditional and oppulent features.
The website photos do not do justice to the very homely feel you experience from the start.
I was overwhelmed by the trust given by the owners in allowing us into what can only be called their home for the weekend. From the lovely decorations to the spices in the kitchen cupboard, it definately felt like a home away from home.
The location was good, close to some shops and only a short walk into the lively city centre.
We were on a hen weekend and the whole weekend felt like we were having a pj party in a friends house with comfortable furnishings including a fab stand alone bath in the attic bathroom. Also a great R&B club only a few minutes walk away!
I would recommend this house for any occasion including families for get togethers with the mix of room types.
I will definately return to this property and can't wait to see others faces at how comfortable and beautiful it is. -

The location is perfect for exploring Edinburgh and the communication with the owners re: collecting keys ect. was easy and straightforward. I would definatley go back with family or friends and would like to stay for more than a weekend to fully appreciate what a great place it is. -

Belinda and Stephen were the perfect hosts. They were accommodating in their arrangements for handing over keys. We then had a fantastic girly weekend in their gorgeous house in Edinburgh. The house was warm, well equiped, well decorated and in a great location for shopping and eating out. We will definitely be using them again next time we have a get together.

i travelled with a party of 8 people for a birthday weekend stay in edinburgh, and can not fault the townhouse as accommodation at all, the facilities were excellent and the house was in a very convenient location in relation to local attractions, which were within walking distance. Everyone was left wishing we could stay longer! Fantastic weekend.i recommend this accommodation to anyone looking to stay in Edinburgh, you will not be disapppointed.

No32 The Town House provides spacious, lovely accommodation in close proximity to the centre of Edinburgh. A great, friendly service is provided by its owners and you feel at home the minute you walk in the door.
I would highly recommend No32 The Town House to anyone considering a trip to Edinburgh. -

LondonLuxurious but relaxing - a lovely house.

We stayed at no 32 for my sister's hen weekend on a recommendation from a couple of the hens and it was a great choice. The house is spacious, spotlessly clean and has bags of character, in the good sense, with many lovely items of antique furniture. The bedrooms and bathrooms are beautifully decorated (good luck with the fight over the four-poster master bedroom!)
The location was great for us too - town is walkable and there are a couple of supermarkets close by on the main road.
We ended up spending quite a lot of our time in the house because it was such a nice place to relax and chat.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. -

A simply stunning house that made all the girlies jaws drop with jealousy as they coveted the beautiful N0 32 Gilmore Place wishing that it was our own home !!! Every inch of the house is decorated like something out of a magazine and the attention to detail was exquisit. Will be saving up for a return visit to extrodinary Edinburgh to stay in the super de duper No 32.... smashin !!

This is the second time I have stayed at No32, first time was for a friends 30th. We had such a great time some of us returned for a Hen party. The house is stunning, and so so spacious. The attention to detail is great too.
Any group trips to Edinburgh this is first on the list!
Thanks H. -

Our family of 9 gathered here from Australia and England for a wonderful white Christmas and Hogmanay. No 32 far exceeded all our expectations. It is beautifully decorated and a very comfortable home which is just what we wanted for this special family time together. Belinda and Stephen had thought of everything, a Christmas tree, decorations and lovely Christmas treats to welcome us. They have been so friendly and helpful with all the arrangements. Location wise it is great. Close to the Castle and also to walk into town. The buses go straight past the door too. There is plenty of tourist information in the house for things to do and some shops just a few minutes down the road, including a fantastic bakery around the corner! We were truly spoilt for all the comforts of home. We all fell in love with Edinburgh and we will return. Thanks Belinda and Stephen. Glenys & Tony? - Sydney. Australia

Stayed at No32 for a recent hen weekend and I would definitely recommend it to others. Decor in house was gorgeous and immaculately clean. Location was fab for day/night out in Edinburgh. All the girls had a super time and I can't wait till the next hen weekend so we can go again!
