It is delightfully situated on the ground floor of the owners’ detached ’B’ listed Georgian villa in the heart of Edinburgh’s popular seaside resort of Portobello. Completely self-contained with a private rear entrance, this relaxing property has a warm, homely atmosphere. We enjoyed a very comfortable and warm stay even though it was snowing outside.
Great location by the sea with easy access to centre of Edinburgh.
Flat was fully equipped and tastefully decorated. -

This property is in an ideal location to travel around Scotland from. The bus services to & from Edinburgh city center run every 10 minutes & are a 2 minute walk away on Portobello High street. On the High Street itself can be found numerous fast food outlets, a Greggs bakers, fishmongers,butchers, Boots chemist, local shop for milk, bread etc (open early till 10pm) & a RBS bank to name just a few. Turn left out of the property & you'll bind the beach is less than 5 minutes away , it's very clean with a pub on the corner which serves food. We found the property to be very clean & comfortable with everything we needed including a Wi-Fi connection. We felt very secure & there was more than enough room for 2 of us though the property does sleep 4 (1 double + 2 singles)I think there would still be enough space.
We found this property & location to be ideal for our needs (especially with the enclosed garden) & would book again.
Highly recommended. -

We totally enjoyed staying in the "Georgian retreat".
Everything started with a warm welcome after our flight was delayed by more than 5 hours and the keys were left where we easily found them.
The rooms all have a warm and personal atmosphere, the kitchen is well equipped (I especially liked the cooking knife, which is probably the best I have ever had) so we immediately felt at home. Although the weather wasn´t half as friendly as our hosts the excellent heating helped us fighting the temperatures. Chris and Pam have always been extremely friendly, helpful and generous with some "accidents" which sometimes just happen.
So we will definitely come back here when we return to Edinburgh.

The flat was very comfortable and cosy, with some nice touches. Only a few minutes walk from the promenade and a fantastic beach. Very regular buses into Edinburgh. Supermarket also very near by. Only drawback is the parking - first come first served on a very narrow road! However, we managed OK.

A delightful place, very comfortable,well equipped and tastefully furnished. We loved the garden, and walking along the promenade of Portobello beach. The buses into Edinburgh are very frequent.

the cottage is nicely located only 1 min away from the Portobello beach side with a great connection right into Edinburgh city center
the cottage interior is nicely decorated and is equipped with everything you would need - starting from a new kitchen to flat screen tv as well as books and games
we've enjoyed our week very much and will most certainly come back -

Great location with easy bus access into Edinburgh. Able to park near flat. Owners vey approachable and helpful. Beautiful, well equipped kitchen. The flat is full of character but we felt it was rather too cluttered with the owners' possessions and this left little room for us to store our own belongings. There are lots of fiddly ornaments around that would not make this flat suitable for younger children.
