Description from the manager
On a quiet cobbled street, in the heart of the historic Stockbridge, this 1st floor apartment offers a superb central base for an unforgettable city break. Part of an unusual development, the apartment benefits from elevator access, entry system and limited free private parking (unallocated). The bright, well-proportioned interior is recently modernised and features French doors in the lounge which open out onto a triangular balcony where you can sit out.
Princes St is 15 mins walk and there are excellent day/night bus services. Stockbridge has a unique ’village’ atmosphere with an eclectic mix of antique, curio and speciali...Read more

LondonA good base for new town, bus ride to anywhere else.
Left on 09/20/2012 for a stay in August 2012
A good practical flat with a reasonable amount of space. There were good local pubs and restaurants and a very handy Sainsbury Local. Busses stop outside the door, just wish we had made more use of them £1.70 is good value and saves the uphill walk. We were there for the festival and the location was good for the Literary festival and the Travers but should have used a bus to get to George Square and the Pleasance!
On the practical side the bedroom could do with a proper blackout blind or lined curtain. would have loved a cup
Mackays very helpfully failed to mention which flat number in any of their later correspondence so we had to try the keys in several doors to get in. -

Catterall,Preston. Lanc'sGood location and ideal for Inverleith Park.
Left on 07/17/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Our stay was very comfortable and we found that there was plenty of pots and pans etc. One of the downsides was parking,we found it confusing that the welcome book showed that all parking was first come basis but this later proved to be wrong. The ones with locking posts are reserved for the top floor all the rest can be used by anyone. The other was the usual apartment problem of people not controling the main doors as the shut and allowing them to bang(this was annoying). We walked the dog daily in Inverleith Park and along the river both excellent walks.Visited the Botanical Gardens this again wasvery good.Local shops in abundance bars and pubs aplenty.Really good stay even with the two downsides.

Flat exactly as pictured/described - so met needs perfectly. Had issue with shower but was handled efficiently by owner/agency. Loved the location easy buses to various areas and great shops of all varieties right on doorstep.

Calgary, AlbertaGreat location in Stockbridge
Left on 05/25/2012 for a stay in April 2012
Great location and price; close to buses to all locations, groceries and pubs/restaurant. No wi-fi but public library around the corner where internet could be accessed.Walking distance to Princes St and Botanical Gardens. Also, only 45 minute walk to Royal Yacht Britanica.
Still a little cool in the bedroom with the space heaters and could have been a little cleaner.
A little stressful to get the key as they mailed it to us in Canada and it only arrived on the day we left! Other arrangements would have been made but I don't like leaving things to the last minute. -

Seaford, SussexWell located and comfotable flat
Left on 11/10/2011 for a stay in October 2011
Great first floor flat (so above street level) but difficult to get in as key to security door did not work very well for us. Had to be let in by a neighbour - but - many positives to the flat - well appointed and well kitted out, good location, bright, clean and warm and would certainly use it again. Stockbridge is a lovely part of Edinburgh, a small community in itself with good range of shops, about 10-15min walk into Princes Street. There is a bus stop outside the flat with good service if you don't want to walk. Also several restaurants and pubs on your doorstep. Also only short walk (5-10min) from the Botanic Gardens. If the key had worked would have given this property 5 star rating.

Flat was very good, will use again,Agents service was very bad.Key was not sent in post or did not arrive, went to agent on arrival to collect a key to find they were closed, rang emergency number and left a message on the Saturday, someone rang me back on the Monday who was most unhelpful.Rang the owner who was able to let us have an emergency key which overcame the problem. The agent said that the key was put in the post which unfortunately did not arrive a phone call to check that the key had been delivered would have helped , very quick to chase payment of rent. Also to have someone to speak to on the Saturday would have been helpful as l am sure a lot of people move into thier property on that day.

My son and I had a Lovely stay at the above address . the weather was Good -
The Bus stop was so near Really just a few yards from the door , and plenty to do in Stockbridge, 2 Lovely chip shop an 4 nice friendly pubs .. Plus a Inverleith Pond and the Botanic Gardens.. an Princes St just a short run by bus or a 25 /30 mins walk away
Only one problem for us was ..The Key we got for the Outside door Only opened the Back door, It wouldn't turn in the Front door .. But that was a mere detail Over all a Nice place to stay .. -

The apartment was ideal for us. In a good and interesting location. Very clean and comfortable. The only problem was the lock to the front door of the building which was very difficult to use. Obviously this not part of the apartment itself and must be a common problem for all occupants.

A comfortable, quiet and convenient flat near to the shops in Stockbridge and a short, if vertical, walk to the Book Festival.
