Recently remodeled, this traditional Edisto Beach cottage is just steps away from the ocean. Bring everyone down as this house can accomodate the entire family. Enjoy the large sunroom as you enter for kicking back and the set up is perfect for the kids as there is a space allocated for sleeping (2 Singles). Enter into the large Living/Dining/Kitchen combination room for evenings in and family time. Two bedrooms and 1 bathroom are on either side of the great room so everyone can have a little alone time as well. The property was in a great location. Cookware and dishwasher were unsafe to use. No window coverings in the bathroom. Property not clean but was required to be clean as we vacated property. Deck needed painting badly,

Since we decided at the last minute to take a vacation we were thankful to find this house at an affordable price. The longer we stayed the more disappointed we were with the house. Convenience to the beach was excellent!! Rooms were painted nicely. Lights out in kitchen and den. Dishwasher was nasty looking, dryer was VERY noisy. Ceiling was peeling in den and kitchen, paint on paneling was buckling. Rug in den needs to be replaced. Back steps need to be cleaned. Air conditioner did not work properly, bedrooms were hot.

Good location, generally clean, but needs too many repairs, dish rack rusted through and missing roller wheels in dishwasher, boarded over window, mold in shower/bath, un-caulked window panes rattle, loose faucet in bathroom, deck is in need of paint, light over kitchen sink occasionally worked, goes on--
Also be nice to know that the local water is too salty to drink, but the city provides drinking water, but need to provide your own jugs! -

The house needs some repair. The window that broken out in the back in room was broken last year and still has not been repaired and the ceiling in the den looks like it is going to fall in. Otherwise a fairly nice house

This property is ok but needs lots of updates and a good thorough cleaning. The windows are very old and so dirty you cannot see out of them. The 2 bathrooms have windows in the showers with no coverings. Could be a very nice rental with a few updates.
I did love the outside shower with hot and cold water. The location is great. -

in rental condition and this house was chosen for me. I recommend the owners get a new stove, and have the house sprayed for insects, also thewy need to do some repairs to the ceilings.

My husband and I enjoyed our time at Slowpoke the week of Thanksgiving 2010. We orignally selected Slowpoke because we didn't know exactly how many family members would be coming and Slowpoke sleeps 14.
The other reason we selected Slowpoke was because we loved the picture of the the large family dining table. The kitchen is huge and includes a double oven which is great when cooking for a lot of people. The electric burners take some adapting as they are not level so if using that part of the stove, just know that it takes some getting used too.
We enjoyed our walks on the beach each morning and got to know some of the permanent neighbors as well.

A standard old Edisto beach house.Great for our yearly family fishing trip.Lots of sleeping space.Up dates are needed,but ha we just came too fish and drink.

I was very pleased with the house. Sleeps more than I thought even through we did not need that many. Glad it was dog friendly related to my Yorkie does not know he's a dog but part of the family.

we were told this would be ocean view property but it wasn't. the unit itself was about to fall apart. The vacuum cleaner didn't work nor did the dishwasher and the bed gave me a sore back. We called the night we arrived to get the wireless access code & no one returned our call until the following Tues. after we had already left the unit. The only thing going for this unit is the location, we liked the convenience of the beach access.
