3BR-2BA (Q, D, 2S) Guests love the feeing of the great room at the T-house which has been owned and well loved by one family since the 1970's. The spacious room offers a living room and dining room complete with hardwood floors. The cathedral ceilings, french doors and glass windows on both ends of the room give the room a sense of being in a tree house as the home is surrounded by Live Oaks and Palmetto Palm trees and incredible light. The front deck is perfect for watching island visitors, sun bathing or reading a book. The kitchen has everything you need including low country cuisine cookbooks. If you are in the mood to cook, you can stop... by our local seafood spot and do your own cooking. If you are in the mood to eat out, several restaurants are within walking or biking distance. The island's bike path is in front of the house, making it a perfect place to bring your own bikes, or rent locally. The private, back screen porch is a great place to enjoy afternoon breezes, or to sip your morning coffee while watching for wildlife which can often be seen feeding in the nearby lagoon. Though the house does not provide an ocean view, it's a short, lovely 300 yards to the beach. Weeks only during peak season of June, July and August.   We stayed most of a week in the great house. It's a sweet, open and airy space with great light. The screened-in porch with rockers was my favorite...felt like a treehouse. It overlooks a small marsh area frequented by herons and other birds. The birdsong in the morning was great. Easy walk ( about 2-3 short blocks) to the beach access. Also a similar distance to the shops, grocery and restaurants.
  
  Nearby, we enjoyed amazing breakfast at the Sea Cow Cafe. "John's Omelette" will feed three easily! Delicious homemade pies there too - don't miss the key lime pie and pineapple-coconut. Out on the highway, Po Pigs BBQ is delicious and the buffet is absolutely huge. Flowers Seafood (on hwy 174) had great prices on fresh shrimp to cook at home. Whole trip was a delight, with the notable exception of "Ugly Ducking Fishing Charters." Would not recommend this guide to anyone.
  
  Look forward to going back to Edisto again. It's a great beach. We love it most in the off season when it's so uncrowded you can have the beach nearly to yourself for walks, wading and looking for shark's teeth on the beach. Enjoy!

  Thank you for letting everyone know about your Edisto vacation. So many do love planning their trips from Oct to May to miss all the summer crowds.
