The location of this beach house was perfect, but we were disappointed in the condition of the overall house. The carpet was old and had many stains on it throughout the house. The mattresses on the beds also needed to be updated. This house was suitable for a short stay, but I would not rent it for an extended vacation.

The carpet was stained and just filthy overall. The house surely needs pressure washing ∨ paint. There is allot of mold and mildew.

This was our third trip to Edisto Island and our third stay in an Atwood rental home. Homesley felt comfortable from the moment we walked through the front door. The furnishings included some comfortable lounge chairs and a kitchen with every pot and pan we needed for our meals and snacks. It was a very good location within a short walk to the beach and a wonderful bike path crossed our backyard! We managed to pick the hottest week of the summer to visit and the air conditioner did a fine job! We have one recommendation for the owners of this wonderful home... It's time for new mattresses in two or three of the bedrooms and with that addition you would have a near perfect vacation home!

The house is a 5min walk (probably less) to the beach and has a very nice ping pong table. The beds left a bit to be desired, but everything else suited our needs perfectly!

Wonderful beach property! Homesly is very close to beach access and on a two lane road. Ample room for parking enables you to leave underneath home open to enjoy large groups. More private than most places with the bike trail right behind you to enjoy.
House had every kitchen amenity so I didn't even unpack my pots or electric pans. We had family staying at other houses but used this one for group dinners as the kitchen accommodated everyone so well. We were disappointed in the condition of the screen porches
but realize storms have been hard on our area. Being outdoor people, this is the best rental we have used. If you can't stay beachfront, this house is next best thing. Atwood was really wonderful to work with too! -

We had a great time. We had just recently lost my wife and she so loved Edisto that we had her memmorial there. I know her spirit is happy that we were there.Edisto will allways be dear to my heart.Homesly was perfect, she would have loved it.

There is an 'old plumbing' smell in the righthand bathroom and the doors did not slide in the shower/tub. Also the drain stopper in that sink did not move. The screening was loose on the porch and torn in places...the matresses could be updated. Otherwise it was a perfect place for the family and pet-outside porch was perfect until it got too hot and the rolldown screens were helpful. Nice to have washer and dryer, grill, toys and ping pong table...bring all your own supplies-t.p.dishwasher, soap etc.

Downstairs Fridge could use some cleaning. It was turned off with the doors closed when we arrived so it smells pretty bad.

This house is great plenty of room and a wondefully supplied kitchen with lots of room.
Only thing i would change would be the mattress covers. With all the bed bug problems the mattress really needed to be clean. -

The check in time of 4:pm is too late in the day.
The check out time of 10:00 is much to early. Hire extra cleanup people if necessary to expedite the house being ready. -

For an older home, it was pretty nice, we enjoyed the week and we were blessed with good weather. Everyone who stays needs to remember to follow the instructions on the fridge in the laundry room. That was the only problem, the previous renter did not leave the doors to the fridge open and the odor was atrocious. Otherwise it was a good week. The walk to the beach access is short and we rented bikes and rode all around the area. The bike trail is very close to the house which was very nice for my grandson.

We worked with two agents via telephone & email - the first was very unresponsive; the second was on top of everything and did an outstanding job.
Atwood ought to clearly & explicitly have in their contract that linens and towels are NOT provided.
We loved staying at Homesley. Perfect for an extended family with young children. We loved Edisto Beach and the community. I've already recommended it to some friends.
