We really enjoyed the Pompano Villa. It was just a short walk to the beach where our family relaxed in the sun, waded in the water, collected seashells, and even saw a dolphin.
The property was perfect for our family of four, but could easily accommodate larger groups. We enjoyed the two decks, two screened in porches, and the charcoal grill. What a great place!Response from The Atwood Agency - 04/06/2013

Our stay, overall, was very good. The one bad experience was that someone intentionally overturned the garbage container, and contents, into the ditch. This occurred on our first night there. This was disturbing; I thought that our the residents of Edisto Beach had moved beyond such juvenile and predijucial behaviors! Otherwise we had a relaxed and wonderful experience!

I am from a small town; I liked the small town friendliness. I liked the lack of commercialization; one small grocery, one chain restruant (that I noticed), lots of Mom and Pop restruants with great food(absolutely wonderful seafood!), one small gas station.
We were a 3-5 minute walk to the beach. The beach seemed endless and was not at all crowded.
The house was clean and adequately furnished. I would rent it again repeatedly.
I was there with my adult son and daughter and their respective families. The whole town had a family atmosphere. Preteen children were riding their bicycles and playing in the ditches around our house. I felt very safe and relaxed there.
There was a Baptist church a short walk from our house, a pleasant surprise for us.
I have absolutely nothing negative to say.

The dishwasher needs to be replaced. It was so rusty we were afraid to use it. The comforters need to be replaced or at least washed. The location of the house was excellent.

My family (4 of us including a teenage daughter and a two year old) had a great time at Pompano Villa. I've been going to Edisto the week of the 4th for 40 years in a row - and this was one of the best trips I've had!
We were actually scheduled to stay in a second row house and got 'bumped' out by the owners - and had to go with the Villa. The folks at Attwood were GREAT about helping us out when this happened.
The pros of the was on a large lot, public access to the beach was in view of the house, lots of porch space, there was a creek on an empty lot next door where we crabbed, and the house was clean.
The cons....the air conditioning was very cool - but left the house very humid (I expect they'll correct this shortly), there wasn't an iron (my wife made me include I didn't care), and I thought the price was just a little high for the location and size of the house.
We are expecting another daughter before next year, so we're going to have to move to another house - but otherwise we would have been staying at the Villa. -

Definitely liked Edisto Bch. & location of property. Property was well furnished & equiped; however, kitchen items were not very clean. Most stuff including plates, silverware, and cooking ware needed cleaning before use. We think dishwasher is at fault as we found it did not clean very well & left stuff on items being cleaned.
Also, AC system ducts may need a cleaning. Air in house was musty and new filter was very dirty after only a week (old filter was in garbage when we arrived).
Probably would not pick this property again.

THe dishwasher was very rusty so we could not use it. it is a very old one that should be renewed for a rental of that price. THe dryer was not working also. the cutlery was also very old and not very clean.

We really enjoyed the location and atmosphere the home provided. Perfect location for us. Not too close and not far away yet not crowded between homes. We loved the floor plan and the comfort it provided for us and the rest of the family. Edisto plus home equals a return trip in the near future!

We stayed in Pompano Villa with 3 small children, and this home is ideal for a family vacation. Everything about the house is great. The screened-in porch makes hot afternoons more enjoyable, and the outdoor shower is great for keeping the sand outside when coming in from the beach. The yard is great too... plenty big enough for touch football or wiffle ball! Having a washer and dryer was great too. We were able to keep the endless piles of beach towels and bathing suits under control. We will definitely be back, and will definitely recommend this to anyone going to the Edisto area...

This was by far the best vacation at Edisto we have had. We have been coming to the island for over 20 years. We own a Time Share with Wyndom. Our accomadations this year was much better than any we have had with them. We will want to rent this Villa again in the near future. We just wish it had a little more sleeping room in the event our other son would like to bring his family at the same time. Thanks for doing a great job with the facility.
