On our former farm in Eede, close by Sluis and the Dutch coast of the North Sea, we rent a new vacation home. The house is standing on our own site (2,5 acre) where, separate, a small camping lies.

Eede is the small village on the border of Belgium and the Netherlands, where queen Wilhelmina entered her country after the second World War in 1945. It’s a sleepy village, but ideal to spend your holiday. For cultural visits you have Brugge and Gent close by. If you like the beach you can chose among the Belgian or the Dutch coast, both having there own charming villages, Knokke is mundane, shopping is a special experience because of i...ts wide range of shops and its art galeries. Cadzand is quiet and known for its wide beaches, but you have also Groede, Nieuwvliet and lots more.

Above this you find in the hinterland many villages with their own museum and other attractions.

You can also just enjoy the peace and space around you. There are numerous marked footpaths and cycling paths. You even can freely use our bikes!

The house is luxurious and comfortably furnished. There is a nice terrace around furnished with lounge-sets and a dining table.

  Wir fanden ein sehr komfortables, modernes und hochwertig eingerichtetes Ferienhaus vor. Badezimmer und WC hochwertige Materialien. Betten sehr bequem und Bettwäsche vom Feinsten (Auping!). Ausreichend Handtücher, moderne Küche, Fernseher mit DVD und CD Leser. Einziges Manko für uns: keine deutschsprachigen Tv-programme. Sehr nette, zurückhaltende aber hilfsbereite Besitzerfamilie. Etwas abgelegend, aber viele interessante Orte in 10 - 15 km Entfernung.
  Absolut zu empfehlen, auch für 2 Familien, da jeweils zwei Schlafzimmer mit Bad und separatem WC durch Diele mit Tür vom Wohnraum getrennt und somit vollkommen privat sind.

  Perfect place to relax with family and go exploring Zeeland & Be

  We stayed in the large holiday home at Spitsbroek in June 2011, and were one of the first guests to use the property. We were very impressed with the quality of the place and the hospitality of the owners.The lay-out of the house is very well thought out. There are 4 double bedrooms, 2 on each side with the livingroom and open-plan kitchen in the middle. There's also a bathroom and seperate WC on each side, allowing plenty of privacy.
  We have fond memories of leisurely breakfasts at the huge table, and sitting out in the late sunshine in the evenings on one of the terraces (there are terraces on both sides, so you can choose to be in the sun or the shade), looking out over the rural fields with cows, and the woods in the background.
  When we arrived the beds were made (they were very comfortable!), plenty of towels were available, and the kitchen had all linnens you could desire. It also has all the mod cons such as full size hob, oven and dishwasher. Even the dishwasher tablets were provided. There was an impressive amount of crockery, cutlery and pans.
  The kids were able to run around freely around outside, and there was also a TV with DVD player to keep them entertained.
  We really can't recommend this place enough, it's perfect if you're looking to be away from it all in a quiet rural setting, and don't mind getting in the car to take you where the action is. The only downside could be that it's not directly next to the beach, but for us this wasn't a problem at all, we actually apreciated the peace and quiet.
