ChicagoA perfect place for a quiet and peaceful weekend

We had a family reunion at the house (6 adults, 2 kids). It was a perfect place for this purpose. A great starting point for a variety of outdoor activities on the beautiful peninsula.

Niskayuna, NYWonderfully Relaxing Family Thanksgiving Holiday Vacation
Left on 11/29/2012 for a stay in November 2012
Our holiday vacation began late in the evening on our first day so we were not able to experience the beautiful view and surroundings until the next morning. We awoke in our downstairs bedroom which overlooked Green Bay. The light waves were breaking against the cobblestone beach front. All the rooms allowed for a beautiful view of your surroundings. An especially lovely area was above the upstairs bedroom that in the summertime would allow you to experience a cozy sitting area overlooking the Bay and a beautiful view of the sunset and the beautiful starlit sky. Another lovey feature is the wood burning fireplace where we spent every evening playing games, watching movies and roaring fires until late in the evening. The location on the peninsula was well situated and all the roads were well maintained. One last memory was the wonderful people of Wisconsin we met. Can't wait to come back and experience all the season.

It was a pleasure to share my home with your family and I look forward to your return to the peninsula and Come On Inn in the future. I'm happy that your family had a peaceful and festive Thanksgiving at my home.

Madison, WIThere's No Place Like This Home
Left on 11/07/2012 for a stay in November 2012
4 of us decided on a late fall trip to Door County fairly late in the season, and scrambled to find a place that met all our requirements. We discovered Come on Inn, and it looked almost too good to be true. We contacted the owner, Denice, who responded the same afternoon to confirm the dates were available. Reservations and completing the necessary rental agreement couldn't have been easier.
Denice provided a wonderful welcome packet that thoroughly explained the check-in process, as well as suggestions for shopping, dining, and activities.
We arrived for our 4-night stay just as Hurricane Sandy was winding down, and got to enjoy plenty of wave action from the get-go. In relation to the house itself, the pictures provided on the website do not begin to do it justice. From the windows on the bay side of the house, it seems you could reach out and touch the water. Virtually every window in the house has a view of the water or woods, and it's clear the property was situated to best take advantage of the views while blending in with nature's landscape.
In terms of the amenities, there is everything almost anyone could need. There are multiple sets of dishes, cutlery, cookie sheets, baking dishes, bowls, you name it, and it's there. Have you ever struggled to find a wine bottle opener in a rental home and ended up having to go buy one? That won't happen here.
The bedrooms are situated perfectly, and most have a television/DVD player. There are also two screened porch areas, one at the very top of the house above the two bedrooms upstairs. Too cold this trip to spend much time in them, but wonderful spots. A beautiful wood burning fireplace in the living room provided the perfect ambiance and warmth while the first of the season's snowflakes appeared seemingly out of nowhere.
We found the location to be perfect-not too far from Sturgeon Bay, yet secluded enough to feel way-out. Modern amenities, yet perfectly blended with nature. You can't ask for much more.
Response from Denice Reda Hubbard - 11/08/2012

I'm glad you enjoyed your visit to the peninsula and that you appreciated the home layout and amenities. I hope one day you will return when the yards are in full bloom and everything is green and lush. I know you would love it! You are always welcome in my home and I look forward to your return.

Directions to the home were very simple to follow. The home is so beautiful inside and out. Lots of windows with woods and water views! The home is so well equipped that we virtually only needed to bring our clothing. We did not have any children with us but there is a swing set and a play area on the beach for children. It is a short walk to the beach and there is a wonderful firepit there to have a bonfire. The beds were very comfortable (2 kings and 2 queens). The house is spacious so there is plenty of room for a group. We were very impressed with the location and home and cannot wait to go back for another visit!

Left on 10/18/2012 for a stay in September 2012
My daughter, son-in-law, two young granddaughters and I sought the perfect place for a Door County week of rest and relaxation. We found it in this wonderful home off the beaten track. Beautiful wooded setting and the water views from the home were magnificent. We especially enjoyed morning coffee in the quaint screen porch listening to the birds and the water lapping up on the shore. Great beach for sand play, rock skipping, late night bonfires and sunset gazing. The house is beautiful and so well laid out and has every amenity you could want. Great kitchen for cooking together. We enjoyed music, wine, great dinners and just plain relaxed. We really didn't need to leave and by the end of our wonderful week, we didn't want to leave. I would definitely stay here again.

This is exactly how I feel when I am there. The water, woods, sounds of the waves and the birds puts me in a relaxed mood. I'm so happy you enjoyed my home!

A beautiful home on a beautiful wooded beach-front property with a wonderful view of the bay! The house is very well equipped, indoors & outdoors, with all necessities and many amenities to help enjoy the stay. Comfortable and spacious with plenty of seating inside and out. Very comfortable beds! An abundance of windows with stunning views. Great upstairs and downstairs screened-in porches. It is apparent all features of the rental were well thought out and the home is taken care of professionally.
Communication with the friendly home owner was very good, all responses were prompt. Check-in and out procedures as well as any pertinent home information was all made very clear before and during the stay.
Was a real pleasure to stay here, and a wonderful time was had by all. An excellent place for families or staying with friends, we would definitely stay here again if in the area with a group.Response from Denice Reda Hubbard - 10/18/2012

Naples, FLS'mores and sunsets...what more could you ask for?
Left on 10/03/2012 for a stay in September 2012
Our family spent an amazing week at this beautiful home. Denice, the home's owner, has obviously put tremendous thought and care into preparing this home for visitors. Outside and in, the property is impeccably maintained. There are books and games, every kitchen item you could ever need and even a swing set for the kids. The home is warm and inviting and the views are spectacular. We spent most of our time outside climbing the rocks and enjoying spectacular sunsets. Several nights we made a fire in the fire pit and feasted on s'mores. The location is perfect if you would like to be a bit outside of the busier downtown areas but close enough to be at anything you want to see within minutes. Door County was gorgeous and we think this is the perfect place to stay if you are headed there. Thank you, Denice for providing the perfect location for our family gathering.

Left on 10/01/2012 for a stay in September 2012
There were three of us celebrating our 60th birthday. We loved the home. It was very clean and all three of us remarked how we felt "at home." We liked the layout of the house and the views. Enjoyed sitting on the sandy beach in the peace of the morning and watching the amazing sunsets during the evening. We checked out many of the dining areas recommended to us and we were close enough to everything on the peninsula (hiking, shopping, dining, sight seeing) and after the activity of the day we could relax in the peace and quiet during the evenings and listen to the waves against the shore as you drifted off to sleep. Everything was very comfortable in the home (beds, chairs, couches, etc.) Would definitely stay here again when visiting the area.

I'm happy to read you enjoyed your visit to the peninsula and enjoyed my home and beach. I too enjoy falling asleep at Come On Inn while listening to the waves splashing along the shoreline. I look forward to your return.

I highly recommend staying at come on inn in Egg Harbor. My family and I returned to for a second time and enjoyed even more than our first experience. The house is warm and friendly, the yard is wonderful for kids to run around and for enjoying the view, and sunsets are breathtaking. You will need water shoes if you plan on swimming for it is on the Green Bay side with rocks that acan be slippery and caution is strongly advised. The owner is delightful and very helpful if needed.

Everything was totally in place as promised. We did have a problem with the technology of the TV but Denice and her husband both came out to help fix what we had messed up. The house was further from Baley's Harbor than we thought...I had visions of walking to the store to get a coffee and a scone but it would have taken me quite a while to walk. It was so nice not having to bring all the utensils a person would need for a long weekend like we had. It could have been a bit warmer--not sure by Denice and Ken couldn't make that happen also...they are charming people!!

If you are looking for a vacation that allows you to unwind and escape your hectic life, this is it. This home combined a perfect location, private and on the water yet only 15 minutes to whatever you want, with the comforts of home. It had everything we wanted. Spectacular sunsets, quality time in a very comfortable home, s'mores on the fire, great hiking on the bluffs(don't skip the bluffs, they are a great surprise) and plenty of space for me time. We were ten miles south of Egg Harbor. Close enough to enjoy all off door county yet secluded enough to avoid the crowds. If you are looking for a home to rent with great views and not in town, look no further. Everyone in my family said the home was their favorite part of our vacation. It was so peaceful and relaxing. I like this area every bit as much as Martha's Vineyard. The is a sportsmans/outdoor paradise. Lots to do for every one. My daughters loved the shopping, hikes and restaurants. Shout out o Sean at alpine, but the Orchards were the place to golf. The people and pies at wood orchard were tops. The owner(Hubbards))went the extra mile to make sure everything was easy and I can't thank them enough.

All needed items for fire pit were provided, including utensils for making smores!! House was in excellent shape. No need to bring anything except your clothes and food. Would stay again if traveling to Door County. House is just little bit South of Egg Harbor, and very private. We had an outstanding stay in early October. The weather and fall colors were absolute perfection, and the Come On Inn was the perfect base for our adventures. We enjoyed beach bonfires at sunset and the bluff meadows across the street for sunrise walks. The beds are comfortable, the baths more than adequate. The Kitchen is equipped with everything needed you might need. Denice even provides a cooler and picnic basket. The only flaw might be the lack of WiFi (but in the end that was a blessing for us.)

This trip was to celebrate the gettting together with my two siblings and their spouses after several years of illnesses. My two sisters have limited mobility and we were thankful there were no problems for them with moving around the main floor of the home. With having 4 bedrooms, 2 upstairs and 2 downstairs, there was more than enough space for everyone. This was an ideal location for us. Off the beaten path. About 10 minutes from Sturgeon Bay and 15 to 20 minutes from Egg Harbor. We enjoyed going in the middle of Sept. as there were no crowds so no lines to wait in. Everything is open at this time of the year. We could return from a day of shopping, hiking and biking to the peace and quiet of this home. Denise, the owner, went out of her way to welcome us and to answer any questions. Thank you, Denise, for sharing your beautiful home.

My 2 sons (26 and 23) live in a different state than I do. I wanted to take them and my daughter in law on a special vacation. I decided on Door County and Come on Inn. It was the perfect choice. We were close to a grocery store, shops and restaurants-a 10 minute drive. But the house is in a secluded area right on the water. So we never felt like we had to get up and go anywhere else. We did manage to see most of Door County but spent many hours on our private beach swimming, kayaking, and relaxing. It got cool enough at night to have a fire on the beach several times. And the sunsets were amazing. The house itself is beautiful. My favorite room was the upstairs screened in porch. The kitchen and dining area were plenty big enough for 4 adults to enjoy cooking meals together. And every night we played games in the living room. It was truly a perfect vacation.

Left on 10/23/2010 for a stay in October 2010
Door County can be a busy place. Come On Inn is the perfect quiet location to enjoy the peaceful side of the area. The house is only 75 ft from the water and there are beautiful sunsets. The cobble stone beach wouldn't work too well for little kids for swimming, but there is a nice sand play area for them just up from the shore. The house is surrounded by trees and shrubs, so one has privacy. The 4 bedrooms would make it a good place for several couples or a group of friends; beds are comfortable. Very well equipped kitchen, board games for rainy days, lawn games, outdoor furniture, screened porch, barbecue; just about anything you can think of. Did miss having Wi-Fi, but I believe that is going to be available in 2011. Good restaurants and shopping are available nearby in Carlsville and Egg Harbor (within 10 minutes drive.) The home and property are "green certified" by the state of Wisconsin, something we appreciated. It is obvious that the owner has paid attention to all the details, both big and small! This is the perfect getaway for people who like to make their own fun and enjoy the peaceful outdoors.

Our two daughters and son-in-law have untraditional career hours in law enforcement, professional counseling and a chef. Getting together as a group only happens this week at "Come on Inn". It allows us all to unwind in different ways from sitting on the much appreciated sand beach, hammock, area, hikes, fishing, golfing, daily family bike rides, and the many many activities that the Door Penninsula provides. The home is wonderful with great views, nooks and cranies for privacy, and kept to the most modern and stinginent of cleanliness. The sleeping arrangements are superior with two king beds. A little screen porch for reflection before heading to the beach for the nightly glorious sunset and smores by the fire. Thank you Jim and Denise for sharing your home with us and some family times and moments that will last our lifetime.

I've told my family and friends about the Come On Inn and now I'm telling you. This is the best place to stay in Door County and once you're here you'll never want to leave! The house is amazing -- it's convenient, comfortable and spacious with everything you're likely to need or want. We stayed here with our adult children and everyone had plenty of space to spread out but we also enjoyed relaxing together by the water, playing games at the dining table and reading next to the crackling fire. We love cooking too and made good use of the grill. The house's location is convenient to nature trails and Egg Harbor and just minutes away from the rest Door County has to offer. But we were reluctant to leave such a beautiful place and spent much of our time hanging out at the house. Denice is a treasure and a pleasure to work with. She does everything possible to make sure you enjoy your stay. We can't wait to come back and have already made our reservations for next summer. You'd better hurry and make yours too.

The house is beautiful, comfortable and clean. Denice couldn't be any more accomodating. Watch the sunsets out of the front window, have a bonfire on the beach, visit the wineries and great restaurants near by. Shop in Fish Creek. Denice provided so many tips on great things to do. The house is super clean and set up so well for guests. It was the best weekend I have ever had.

I almost hate to promote Denice's wonderful home, it's a secret I would like to keep to myself. It is such a nice place and we had such a great time. I went with my mother and three sisters. When we visit again we are planning on doing less site seening and a lot more relaxing right at her home. It has eveything you would want.

I agree with the more relaxing and less sight seeing! Looking forward to your return too.

There is nothing more you could ask for with the amenities provided by the owner. Her desire to make your stay perfect with all the comforts of home is incredible. This is the only home we have returned to to time and time again. For 30 years we have traveled to Door County and this is without a doubt the most welcoming home that includes everything we want in a vacation home. The sunsets are beautiful, the house is supplied with everything you need to cook simple or elaborate meals. The beds are comfortable and the house is so clean! The house tells you in it's own way it is truly loved by the owner. Whether traveling with the girls or family this is the perfect place on the water.

Orland Park, ILThis home has it all!
Left on 10/23/2009 for a stay in February 2009
This property had it all, complete with a fully equipped kitchen, satellite TV, and all the comforts of home. The view is also spectacular!
Come ON Inn was a short distance from shopping, restaurants, hiking, and areas that were great for Winter sports.
After we arrived, Denise called to make sure everything was to our liking. In my experience, you don't often get this in a rental.
This was our second stay at Come On Inn, and we wouldn't stay anywhere else while in Door County.Response from Denice Reda Hubbard - 10/27/2009

I look forward to your return in the future! Thanks for the feedback and all your kind words.

This was the 2nd time in Door CO. The location could not be better, near everything with the water a stone's throw out back. Beautiful sunsets, great fishing and a really nice house.
The house has plenty of room,a fireplace, multiple bathrooms and all but one bedroom has a view of the bay.Fall asleep to the sound of the waves breaking on the rocks. We also loved the screen porches, especially the upstairs one.Response from Denice Reda Hubbard - 10/18/2009

Oak Park, ILGreat home on the waterfront!
Left on 10/17/2009 for a stay in September 2009
My family has been going to Come On Inn every year since they opened. If you are looking for a great home with lots of space, privacy, and on the water, this is the place for you. The views from both the front of the home (bluffs) and the back (water)are wonderful. There is a great sandy area down by the water with a fire pit that you can enjoy day or night, and a great place to enjoy the beautiful sunsets! The front of the home has a huge yard with a view of the bluffs right across the street. The house is clean, roomy, and has a great screened in porch too. The fireplace in the livingroom makes for a cozy evening.
The home has lots to offer nearby with many restaurants, shops, and various activities including horseback riding, winery tours, and golfing, to name a few. Penninsula State Park has something for everyone including biking, hiking, fishing, moped rentals, swimming, boating, and picnicking.
All in all I would recommend Come On Inn.Response from Denice Reda Hubbard - 10/18/2009

Left on 10/15/2009 for a stay in June 2009
Every other year my family spends a week at the Come On Inn. My family
includes my wife, 3 sons and their wives and our 4 grandchildren (so far)!
The owners keep their property perfectly clean. They do everything they
can to make sure my family has a pleasant experience. They provide
everything as stated in their promo on the internet.
The home is great for our family because every couple has their own
bedroom. The children love their screened in bedroom/loft located at the
highest point of the house which faces Green Bay. The kitchen/dining room
has become a gathering room as we prepare our suppers together after a
day of exploring Door County. The family room with its beautiful stone
fireplace has become the site on many spirited board games.
The home has a awesome view of the bay. Our evenings usually include an
open fire as we enjoy the breathtaking sunsets. This is a special time as we
laugh and share with each other our adventures of the day.
We've built many happy memories at the Come On Inn and I'd give the
owners 2 thumbs up!Response from Denice Reda Hubbard - 10/16/2009

Left on 10/15/2009 for a stay in August 2009
When you go to Come On Inn you won't want to leave. Everything is here to make a vacation perfect. It is on a wooded lot& has a private beachfront where we've captured some great sunsets, & hung out with a bonfire. There is a stocked kitchen so you can cook, or a grill if you want to cook outside. All you bring is food! The rooms are big & the screened porches are wonderful. Denice offers all the comforts of an immaculate home in a cozy, relaxed atmosphere. Plus, she will call when you arrive and ask if everything is OK. This is a place I hope to return to again & again!
