Dear Travellers in the Yucatan,

If you dont feel like spending your well deserved vacation in Highrise Hotels, timeshares or condos in Cancun or Playa del Carmen , and you are rather looking for relaxation and recreation in the real Mexico, the unspoilt Caribbean Feeling of El Cuyo may something you should consider.

Puerto del Cuyo is a small, unspoiled Beachtown filled with Cocunut palm trees near Holbox, and is today the only coastal town in the Yucatan which is dotted with palm trees. At all other beaches in the Yucatan, the palm trees were exterminated by a plague some years ago, and were sadly not reforested . Not so in Puerto del Cuyo, here you can still find the Caribbean Feeling mixed with mexican flair that used to be found in every Yucatan Beach town.

The Lodge is a cosy hideaway for budget orientated people looking to enjoy the real Mexico without the tourists. Hide under coconut palm trees, relax in a hammock or take a walk on nearby mile-long beaches during your stay. The nicely decorated apartment offers a cosy bedroom containing 2 comfortable double beds. Prepare meals using a compact kitchenette and eat them on the terrace while listening to birds sing or admiring a star filled sky. A bathroom with a shower is also available. Spend the day sunbathing on the beach, cooling down every so often by taking a refreshing dip in the ocean. Guests can shade themselves in the tropical garden of the Lodge with palapa and palm trees. A chef service as well as fishing and snorkelling tours can be arranged on request by the caretaker.

If you are looking to be pampered in a 5 Star All inclusive Hotel and Buffett style meals , having an English speaking concierge 24 hours a day then do yourself a favor..and dont renta a vacation home.
