We have a well appointed self contained studio apartment in the garden of our 200 year old house for rent in El Sauzal, a charming village on the beautiful north coast of Tenerife, situated about 22 km ssw of the island's capital Santa Cruz and 19 km east of Puerto de la Cruz.

Casa Flora is a Canarian house in the centre of the village of El Sauzal, one of the most attractive and green villages in North Tenerife. We are 100m from the 500 year old church and the Plaza with outdoor restaurant, waterfall and lush gardens.
The bus stop is 100m away with connections to all parts of the island, and there is parking at Casa Flora. Within close walking distance there are some ten bar/restaurants, supermarkets, shops, a sports centre, market, theatre etc.

Together with my wife, we really loved our stay in this beautiful apartment. El Sauzal is a small and charming village with excellent views and also a great base to explore the whole island.
The apartment itself is beautiful, quiet, clean, comfortable and well-equipped. We loved eating breakfasts on the terrace with a view of Teide behind us. The owners are very hospitable and will help you in everything you need.
The place is definitely to be recommended if you want to relax in a small town in North Tenerife, away from the crowds and nightlife, and explore the whole island by car (Teide, Anaga mountains, awesome towns like Garachico as well as nice beaches are all max. 1 hour drive away). -

Wir waren im Dezember zwei Nächte in der Casa Flora, weil es v.a. günstig war und uns die Lage gefallen hat - und wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!
Alan war ein perfekter Gastgeber, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, wir hatten auch seine und Liz' Handynummer fĂĽr die anreise.
Das Haus liegt mitten im Dorf el Sauzal und hat einen wunderschönen, sehr gepflegt und toll bepflanzten Innenhof, mit Sonnenliegen, Grill, kleinen Nischen zum Sitzen und sogar Blick auf den Teide! Abends blickt man von dort auch schön auf die Lichter von Puerto de la Cruz.
Wir hatten das Gartenapartment, das sehr gut ausgestattet war, und wo uns ein Fruchtkorb und eine Flasche Wein erwartet hat. Es gibt einen Fernseher, Dvds und BĂĽcher. Das Bad wirkt neu und war sehr sauber. AuĂźerdem wurden sogar StrandtĂĽcher zu VerfĂĽgung gestellt. Auch die KĂĽche war bestens ausgestattet, auch mit Kaffee, etc.
Alles in allem wirklich ein perfekter Ort! -

We really hit the jackpot with Casa Flora - it was simply perfect. The garden is just fantastic and the loft a cosy little retreat. But what made our stay so lovely was the warm welcome from alan and Lin. We got the bus to Santa Cruz and alan picked us up, a very welcome treat along with the fruit and bottle of wine. The apartment is equipped with everything you could need and we loved sitting out in the garden or on the patio - with stunning views - sipping on a glass of wine. You'll catch a glance of a lizard or two and you can help yourself to the home grown lettuce.
Alan and Lin are very friendly and gave us lots of useful information including restaurant tips and local walks. Like other reviewers we loved El Sauzal, quiet and very friendly locals. Definitely recommended. -

Stayed four days in the garden apartment. A beautiful studio in the lush tropical garden of the owners home. As other reviewers have said the apartment is very thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The comprehensive folder of local information helped us find some gems we might otherwise have missed. Both breakfast and evening drink on the patio were delightful, enhanced further when Teide was in full view. Even when the mountain top was in cloud the views along the coast were wonderful.
Parking on the street outside was always available and we found everywhere we wanted to go on Tenerife was within an easy drive.
Not only would we recommend Casa Flora we would positively encourage family and friends to visit. -

Many holiday apartments are clean and neat on arrival. For us, the special difference at Casa Flora lay in the quality of the welcome and attention to the thoughtful details. There were beach mats and picnic bags, a torch, fresh flowers and fruit - too many to list. All the little things that made us feel at home. The barbeque area is very well equipped, the view is glorious, the tropical garden a delight and the whole thing made a week feel like a fortnight. The town of El Sauzal is lovely and well stocked with shops and nice places to eat. So if feeling really lazy, there's no need to go anywhere else.

We had a very nice stay in Casa Flora. Alan and Lin take care of every detail and the house is very nice, with a beautiful and perfumed garden. We stayed in the Loft, which is very cozy and comfortable. Besides, there is a terrace from where you have incredible views. It is really nice place to stay in and I absolutely would recomend it to my friends.

The gardens medium space was so superbly designed that the guest accommodation felt very private and quiet despite being on a street and with neighbouring properties. The sun terrace (shared with the guests in the other apartment) had amazing views to Teide. The owners were exceptionally welcoming and helpful with exactly the right balance of respect for our privacy and asking about our welfare. We stayed in several places on an individually planned tour of Tenerife and La Gomera and this stay was beyond our expectation. We were very happy with our choice, it had good local amenities, fine terrace views and easy access to major conurbations and wild terrain in the NE of the island. Thoroughly recommended.
