We had a fantastic time at the house and absolutely loved Eleuthera. The house was fantastic and we loved waking up every morning and sitting on the deck looking out at the ocean, catching rays during the day or sitting on the deck at night watching the stars. We loved the decor, the the views and cross-breeze in all of the upstairs bedrooms and the overall flow/feel of the house. We were a group of 7 + 1 baby and had tons of room to be together and also to be by ourselves and veg or read on the porch, sit downstairs and watch tv, do a craft etc... We cooked most meals at home and found absolutely everything we needed in terms of cutlery, serveware, glasses, platters etc. The golf cart, tubes, beach towels, pool toys and fins/snorkels were great!!!
Overall we had a great time exploring the island, the beaches, grabbing fresh fish and lobster from the dock in Tarpum Bay (the spiny lobsters were huge) and going to Island Farm (which was our one of our favorite stores--produce, bread, homemade food was delish)!! We loved seeing the glass window bridge (and got soaked which was cool) and almost ran out of gas going to Lighthouse Beach (but we made it and) and oh was it worth it!! We sailed one day in Bottom Harbor and spent the day snorkelling and puttering around man island. And one of our favorite days was spent at Wkyee Estates atlantic Beach tubing, rafting, swimming and of course lounging and enjoying 1 or 2 Kaliks!!! We joked that our most stressful moment was trying to figure out what to wear the one night we went out to dinner at Tippy's- loved the simplicity, the beauty and the warmth of the island. Thanks for making our vacation so memorable- We will definitely be back!! -

Mr Simon and Ms Lenane were very helpful and very accessible during this short excursion to Eleuthra. For an "out island" this place is great. It has an open upbeat colorful beach theme. The kitchen is well appointed. Beds were comfortable and clean. We were able to use wifi easily although its somewhat slow by us standards (0.25 Mbps), but that's not why you are there anyway. There were some ants and other assorted tropical guests that were easily dispatched with some minor cleaning. Careful on the all white stairs, but they are charming in their rustic appeal. A very pleasant respite and home base for an out island adventure. Easy access to the airport (Myem). Love the added outdoor shower. The golf cart was a blessing. I would definitely go back. The true feeling of isolation from the rest of the world is awesome.
Things that surprised me but are not necessarily bad:
1. The rental car had a very loud muffler and 200K miles on it. Makes a memory.
2. Dinner for five with a round of drinks is about $200-$250, anywhere.
3. Everything is slow (island time) so get over your expectation that you will have great service.
4. Stay on the left and don't drive at night.
5. The poverty of the community.
6. The friendliness of that same community.
Thanks for a great time !
