EdinburghGreat family weekend break in wonderful setting.
Left on 02/13/2013 for a stay in February 2013
My sons arranged a weekend break Friday to Monday in the wonderful setting of the Kilconquhar Castle Estate in early February. We had three lovely bedrooms all with en suite facilities. A lovely living room ( house number 43 ) with wonderful scenic views onto h estate. Regularly you cold see children on ponies trotting past the house.
Great kitchen and eating facilities to do your own catering if required. Great swimming pool and children's pool although a bit cool but most enjoyable. Friendly welcoming staff and well stocked local shop to get fresh bread and morning papers.
Nearby facilities including golf course at Ely and within easy driving historic town of St andrews with many shops and off course Championship Golf Courses .
The weekend was great in lovely atmosphere , please look at castle estate an you won't be disappointed. -

EdinburghGreat weekend break!
Left on 02/20/2012 for a stay in February 2012
Just back from a two day February special break in one of the club rooms at Kilconquhar Castle. The club rooms are under the main house and have recently been redecorated. Although a little dark in the room, we spent most of time outside in the extensive grounds. The swimming pool and changing facilties are nice and clean, though it's a pity that there is'nt a mixed sauna (male and female saunas in the changing rooms). Food was excellent especially the breakfast as was the standard of service. Loads to do nearby in the East Neuk of Fife. A visit to Cambo is recommended and the Fife coastal path has superb views. Would we go back? Of course we would!

One thing to remember is that electricity is not included in rent. As property is heated by electricity expect to pay circa £100 per week for 3 bedroom in colder months

We stayed for a week in a 2-bed apartment in the castle. It was tastefully decorated; the furnishings were very comfortable and stylish. Both bedrooms had their own ensuite which is great and hard to find! The apartment has everything you would need in it. The estate is perfectly located to explore central Scotland. So much to see and do right outside your door! The food is exceptional! The staff are great and helpful from the time you book before you get there to the time you leave! Everything we had arranged before arrival was waiting for us when we got there. The grounds are beautiful and there is an array of things to do while you are there. We couldn't have picked a better place!

Newhaven, United KingdomRci exchange- Our visit to Kilconquhar Castle Estate
Left on 05/01/2011 for a stay in March 2011
From before we arrived to when we arrived we were taken care of exceptionally well- the facilities on site (even a horse riding facility) were great, the food, the grounds, restaurant and bars were of a superb standard. It was possible to relax!
For my husband , teenage son and myself we had a great time, on site and visiting St andrews, the Golf Courses locally, the beaches and the history of Robinson Crusoe in nearby Largo.
The accomodation was beautifully clean and fresh and of a wonderfully high standard, the linen superb...I wish we could have shared the experience with some friends but no one was able to come at the time f year we went.
I would love to return.Response from Reservations at Kilconquhar Castle - 02/04/2012
