Hot tub on covered porch overlooking 20 ft. wide stocked Georgia trout stream, Clear Creek. Creekside Cabin is a stones throw from the creek. Enjoy the dense forest surrounding you. It has been compared to a rain forest. Huge white pines and oaks make your cabin very private. Come for the trout fishing or floating down on our tubes. Nearby is Amicalola Falls State Park, the tallest falls east of the Mississippi. Sit out on your covered porch as see deer, great blue heron, mallards, squirrels, and (rarely) a bear. We have ! 3 night minimum in October and 1st week of Novermber. Our rates stay the same year round , however.
We have a minimum stay of 2 nights and 3 nights on holiday weekends.

We loved the cabin. It was so cute and just what we needed. It was so nice sitting in the hot tub and listening to the creek. The owner was very nice and greeted us as we arrived. The view is very pretty. It was cold when we were there, but I think it would be fun in the summer time to go tubing and enjoy the creek. The town of Ellijay is not far at all and very convenient.

Great cabin to get away and rest

My hubby and I took a quick weekend trip to Georgia to see some homes and I booked this hotel based on what I read on tripadvisor and we loved it. Cabin in the woods, stream outside the door it was just the rest we needed. Sally T. and Jim Smelcer were great and we hope to be back soon.

We wnjoyed our weekend very much. We had fun fishing and just relaxing!!...The only part I caould offer a suggestion on is to invest in a new mattress for the bed...the one we had was well worn and my husband paid for it all the next week with his back!!

We are sorry that your husband has trouble with his back. That can really be miserable. The full size mattress was bought new at the end of last year (Nov. 2010) and we have had compliments on how well everyone slept. We have never had anyone else complain about the mattress but we are sorry that this bed that is different from his home bed may have caused his back pain. Thank you for you input.

My husband and I try to "get away" every couple of months, as we have four children and find little time for ourselves. This cabin is close to home, but seems miles away from everything once you are there. Sally and Jim are such fun people and wonderful hosts! Sally had candles lit and the whole place smelled so inviting as we walked in. The cabins are comfortable and quiet and perfect for a little time to recharge. We spent the day antiquing around Ellijay and then came back and cooked a yummy dinner. We went fishing at the creek, where I caught fish and my husband did not (it was fantastic!) We can't wait to come back!

Our family had a great time in Ellijay and surronding cities on our little trip. The forest cabin by the pond was very relaxing and cozy. Our daughter loved the tree house, swing, pond and the little paths to get to each place. Sally and Jim were very nice and extremely helpful! We had a great time and hope to come back soon.

Just loved the cabin--the coziness and quietness of the location--Had everything we needed to enjoy a great weekend---Loved the hottub---Only wish I could have seen the critter that turned over all the trash cans!!! My only complaint is that I haven't had enough time to get back up there. The owners are the best!!

We loved staying in Ellijay Ga at "Forest Cabins". My husband and I traveled to Ellijay for our 2 year anniversary and chose to not bring our 13 month old! We needed some alone time, and boy did this wonderful vacation deliver. Sally and Jim were so hospitable and warm--we wanted to hang out with them :) The hot tub was perfect, so relaxing! My husband enjoyed the pond! I truly cannot wait to go back and visit this tiny slice of "mountain" heaven! Thanks for letting us enjoy this wonderful place!

I recently stayed at Forest Cabins of Ellijay in Georgia. And was very pleased with everything! You cannot find a better price for such a nice size cabin (we stayed in the larger cabin). The cabin was very clean and had all linens and essentials needed to have a comfortable stay. The hottub was hot a very relaxing. While sitting in the hottub you can hear the creek and see the pond.
I would 100% recommend staying at the Forest Cabins of Ellijay and would definitely recommend it for your next mountain vacation. The location is perfect for going downtown but far enough away for a quiet and peaceful stay.
