Ellijay, GeorgiaRiver Lodge
Left on 11/28/2012 for a stay in November 2012
The cabin was absolutely fabulous!! Everyone was very comfortable and the woman who cleaned the place before our family arrived was so personable and helpful!! She made sure we had everything we needed and even came back on Thanksgiving Day to bring toilet paper and dishwashing tabs. The location was beautiful and so quiet and peaceful. I would definitely rent from Mountain Memories again.

Hattiesburg, MSGreat stay!
Left on 10/17/2012 for a stay in October 2012
We enjoyed our stay. Chris was helpful and courteous. The River Lodge was very nice and clean with everything we needed for a great stay. The lodge was beautiful with a great porch on the front and back. The property was shaded and very quiet and peaceful. The river was close behind the lodge and offered a place to cook out and enjoy the water. Mr. Harmon the home owner next door offered us fishing poles and even a tour of his home. Hope to be back next year!

Ok, stay was great. Loved the layout of the property.
location was really good to the location of why we were here. Our Band was performing at Hillcrest Orchard Sat and Sun.
Three small things needs to be looked at.
1. Stairway, last three or four steps needs something to secure the grip, I was in socks and slipped off the third step and hit the floor by the door. rubber grip or more lightaround bottom.
2. the Fire place had no directions on how to start it was kinda cool and the lady's wanted a small fireplace fire to take chill out of air.
3. The Grill needs to be replaced.

check in time is 4:00 but the laundry still wasn't done (probably because towels and sheets were in same load). I ended up putting sheets on bed and folding towels-ok but--- house very dark inside and moved 2 bedroom lights to great room-after replacing 3 light bulbs. House not thar clean-window blinds, sills had cobwebs, some black ants in kitchen and back, porch, no kitchen drying towels and bath towels were dingy and thin. Steps to go down to river extremely steep, my husband who recently had a knee replacement could never chance it, even our 2 grandkids 8 and 5 had trouble, plus theres poison ivy and oak on the tree at the bottom. furniture was only positive thing about the place. You can't see or hear river from cabin.

Sometimes a reservation is a challenge beginning to end. These are mountain cabins in the woods, not landscaped suburbs, ants on the porch..come on......
To address some of the above... the cabin has pine ceilings, not white drywall, warm and cozy is the idea here, not bright...every cabin does have an extra box of light bulbs just in case some go out.
Been a hot summer, windows probably haven't been opened since April, cob webs appear overnight up here, we missed that one, fair enough.
We are very careful about spraying chemicals near the river, we do cut back all vines. The steps are more like a few boards in the river bank to help if you want to try a very steep hill, access to the river is quite easy from the creek which runs next to the property.
KItchen towels were in a drawer????? We do listen to input and the bathroom towels have been replaced. Can't win em all. Chris -

It was a pleasure talking to Chris he made the rental process so easy. Beautiful cabin with access to the river and a creek. The kids loved fishing in the back yard and splashing in the creek. The cabin is on a beautiful wooded lot and we saw deer almost daily. This is a beautiful cabin that had everything we needed to make us feel right at home. There was a lot to do at the cabin and within 20 minutes you could visit gold mines, the mountains, waterfalls and quaint downtown Ellijay was close too. We enjoyed the pools and putt putt golf that is free through the resort more than once. We plan on visiting again real soon.

Left on 07/05/2012 for a stay in June 2012
The cabin was very nice and clean when we arrived. We liked that you can go straight to the cabin and get the key from the keypad. Some of the appliances in the cabin were not working, the door on the microwave fell off when we went to open it and the ice dispenser from refrigerator was not working, but we notified rental office. The community is very nice and quiet. The cabin sits right on the river so the kids could play in the water. We werent very happy with the ammneties (the pool to be specific) the lady that was in charge was not friendly at all and there are so many rules all you can do is sit in the water. Not exaggerating. You can jump, dive, run, splash etc... We noticed there were older people running the community??? Anyway for the overall stay which for us was only 2 nights it was good. Not sure I would recommend for a long stay.

Microwave was replaced for the next guest. We do take repairs quite seriously. As for old people running the Coosawatee pool......I will just that leave that one alone. Chris, Mountain Memories Cabins

Peachtree City, GAEasy to Find Cabin
Left on 07/04/2012 for a stay in June 2012
This cabin is much lovlier in person than in the pictures! It is very clean, and stocked well with all the basic necessities. The river is not easily accessible; having a deck to fish from would have brought my rating up to 5 stars. The property manager, Chris, was friendly and a pleasure to deal with. He promptly and patiently answered all of my questions via email, and even stopped by to make certain that our needs were met. We enjoyed our weekend of fishing (we caught a total of 17 bream), and using the outdoor grill for our catch and s'mores!

Things we will do for five stars. A river side deck is being built in August 2012. Okay it really was already in the plans
