Coosawattee River Resort is a gated community covering hundreds of acres. You can take a guided rafteing tour,kayak, or tube the rusjhing river. There are 2 out door pools, an indoor, year round pool, work- out room, game room, putt-putt golf, tennis courts and basketball court.

Loved the River Houz. Perfect place to celebrate our 9th anniversary. Love the peace and quiet. Enjoyed coffee on the deck and watching the deer. Cannot wait to visit again.

The cabin was great! Very comfortable beds, awesome views and wildlife. Kathy was great---gave us spot-on directions to outlet mall in dawsonville as well as great places to eat. We will definately be returning to the "River Houz".

This was our 2nd visit to River Houz. We love the cabin as well as the secluded location on the river and all the wildlife. We saw many deer as we traveled in and out of the resort. We had deer come up to the cabin each evening as well as Canadian geese each morning! Kathy is very helpful with information around Ellijay and very accommodating! We look forward to visiting again very soon!! You will not regret staying here!!!

We stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed the stay. The pictures describe the place very well. The furnishings are better than average and the beds very comfortable. My 11 year old son loved the river. It is shallow enough and slow enough for kids to play in safely. We saw many deer every time we went to town. They are so tame, obviously never shot at. If you are going there to fish for trout, this is prob. not the best place as the river is too slow and warm for trout. There are however, bass and bream and catfish in it. We were never successful in catching any bigger than hand-size though. One bad thing is that nothing is within walking distance from the cabin (the pools,lake,etc.). But,if you are looking for a quiet, private place to stay, this is an excellent choice. Kathy, the owner was very nice and accommodating. Don't rely on your GPS to find it, go by her directions. They are very good.

Coosawattee River Resort does cover 1000's of acres can be difficult to get from one point to another, however it is a wonderful,safe place and once you get your directions together there are lots of things they offer to keep your visit interesting.
We take pride in the way "River Houz" is kept and I am glad you found everything to be to your standards.
