Wonderful relaxing lodge for a mountain escape completely equipped for relaxation and fun, close to town and community amenities. Complete with a babbling creek feature, upscale furnishings, surround sound stereo, DVD, pool table, hot tub, fireplace and comfortable bedding, Moose Creek Lodge is nothing short of "A-MOOSE-ing"!

Property Description:

Moose Creek Lodge is a 2,100 sqft 2-story, 2 bedroom, 2 bath mountain escape with a partially finished basement that houses a 3rd semi-private, partially-finished bedroom and gameroom. From the minute one arrives and hears the sounds of the stone creek water featu...re, peacefulness and relaxation sweep over you. This forest cabin was built and stocked for relaxing fun and memories.

The walk-in main floor is nicely laid out with a spacious living room with wood floors and walls to give it that lodge feeling. The superbly comfortable sectional couch more than fits the entire guest party and encapsulates the wood burning fireplace and 32 inch flat screen TV with DVD Player and Surround Sound theater system. In the cabinet is a binder overflowing with hit DVD movies for guest enjoyment and hand carved walking sticks pose near the front door ready to explore the mountain terrain.

The Dining area is conveniently located near a side door leading to a side deck with a gas propane grill and chairs for outdoor cooking and relaxing. The dining room table seats four and two more can sit at the kitchen island, perfect for kids and grand-kids.

The kitchen itself is well-stocked with full compliments of cookware, bakeware, serving and dishware. All-Stainless steel appliances, Large countertops, blender and coffee maker and more make the kitchen an culinary pleasure at Moose Creek Lodge.

Down the hallway is the master bedroom with a Queen bed, 22 inch flat screen TV, beautiful dresser and mirro, large closet and a full bathroom, neatly hidden away behind the bedroom door. The bathroom is fully stocked with dual vanities and plush towels and features a combination shower/bathtub.

The second bedroom is a large twin bedroom with two twin beds, large closet, a 32 inch flat screen TV with a DVD Player and VHS player. Many VHS movies are stocked for your enjoyment. Read the instructions on the TV to operate the DVD and VHS players.

A full bathroom in the hallway with combination shower and bathtub services the second bedroom and living areas.

Outside, the long, wide deck offers rockers, wooden swing and wooden Adirondack chairs for outdoor relaxing, sipping beverages and listening to the sounds of the stone water creek feature and sounds of the forest around Moose Creek Lodge.

Downstairs is the surprise of the Lodge. A huge partially finished basement with stained concrete floors gives guests the feel of slipping into a tavern-like escape from the luxuries of the upstairs. With a large combination pool table and air-hockey table near the rear glass sliding doors, a bar table and chairs, the washer and dryer and a hammock for guests to hang outside on the hooks under the top deck. Around the corner is a full sitting area with 27 inch TV, DVD player, Xbox game system with select games and even a Karaoke machine for fun with friends and family. Finally, the space is anchored by a semi-private Queen bedroom and dresser for more guests to have their own private downstairs living area. Great for teens or young adults who love the fun and excitement of having their own space in a partially finished basement!

Outside the sliding glass doors is yet more! A large concrete patio with a 2-person therapeutic hot tub overlooking the forest wilderness and a bistro patio set for hanging out, listening to music and sipping refreshments, just as if you were at a popular tavern hang-out. Hot tub towels are provided for guests and guests may use the washer and dryer. Laundry soap is provided.

Even though guests may never want to leave Moose Creek Lodge, it has an added bonus of being conveniently located near pools and river parks as well as very close to the Resort gates and close by grocery stores, shopping and sight seeing. See the map below for distances to major attractions.

  The cabin was great clean, comfortable beds, great location. It took a few days to find our way around the resort. The only negative was the garbage situation. There was only one garbage can, and there was garbage in it when we got there. Other than that, we had no issues. There was so much to do in the cabin and the river tubing in the resort was so much fun. Make sure you tell them you are renting a cabin in the resort and you receive a big discount.

  The internet does not work half of the time! The TV is snowy half the time. The master shower is plugged. I called and complained but noone calls you back!

  Very nice cabin. The only downside was it was a little ways from some of the recreational areas. Wild life was great we saw deer every day even some babies

  enjoyed all the pleasures of home but in the woods. It was very comfortable accomodations and enjoyed just being on the porch with a cup of coffee. I would recommend this place to our friends. Loved having the deer come up close and watch these beautiful animals in their natural state.

  Our stay at the cabin was great. The kids were happy, so therefore Mom was happy! The accomodations were wonderful. The cabin had everything imaginable. The entire experience of using KZ Cabins was terrific and easy.

  We really liked staying at Moose Creek Lodge, this was our second visit. The location was great for all the activities we had planned to do in the area. The cabin was very clean and nice and in such a quiet location. This was an ideal vacation spot for our family. We love Ellijay and the Blue Ridge Mountains!
