Additional Location Information
Elwood, with a population of 13,785, is an inner city Melbourne suburb 8 km south of the Melbourne CDB. Elwood borders St Kilda on the North and Brighton on the Sought. Elwood is considered by many to be Melbourne’s most picturesque suburb. Elwood Beach is a popular bayside beach destination during summer where the beaches are used recreationally for windsurfing, cycling, touch football, cricket and walking. Elwood was originally swampland, however, installation of the Elwood Canal turned it into a habitable area.
Prior to colonisation, Aboriginal Australians cooked shellfish and signalled other clans from Point Ormond in Elwood. Originally a working middle class suburb in the early part of the 20th century, Elwood has overseen waves of gentrification and is now one of Melbourne's most sought after bayside addresses.

Manchester EnglandWhat a great place!
Left on 05/09/2013 for a stay in April 2013
Stayed for 14 nights in total and thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
Espresso staff throughout couldn't have been more helpful.
The apartment was spacious comfortable clean and well furnished with all the facilities needed for our stay.
The location was ideal for us - close to the beachfront with great walks to Brighton and St Kilda as well as good transport links(bus and train)to Melbourne. There are plenty of good restaurants in Elwood along with a variety of shops.
Without doubt we would use again on our next visit to Melbourne. -

Always a pleasure to stay at Espresso apartments. This address is very close to shops, restaurants, beach and parks. I like the ease of booking online and the price is always very competitive. The apartment was clean with quality linen and a comfortable bed. We had everything we needed and will definitely stay again.

Perfect spot for our trip to Melbourne - close to business, family and friends. Elwood village has all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay and is well linked to public transport (bus, train). Service good overall. On-site parking a challenge (thank goodness we had a small car!) but very convenient once we got the hang of it. Apartment generally well stocked (dishwasher tablets, laundry powder etc)- could be improved with the addition of a few basic inexpensive items (e.g salt and pepper grinder, small bottle olive oil, spray and wipe). Query cleanliness of spare blanket (smelt like previous tenant had let a wet dog roll about in it!) but otherwise very good. Would happily stay again.

VICGreat Location - Compact & Tidy apartment
Left on 08/05/2011 for a stay in July 2011
Location location location - this apartment is extremely well located - Ormond Rd shops at one end and the beach at the other. Apartment is comfortable enough for 1 person staying 1 to 2 weeks but we found 2 people for 5 weeks was too cramped. There was no room to store our luggage and nowhere to dry clothes that can't be put into the dryer. Also very limited supply of crockery; cutlery; and cookware (again, fine for a short stay but not for longer term). Parking a large car in the complex's basement carpark was challenging and we couldn't avoid scraping the undercarriage when exiting (on-street parking can be difficult to find due to the popularity of the area, and parking permits required on 1 side of street). We found wireless internet/mobile phone coverage to be poor inside the apartment. While the apartment is non-smoking, the previous tenant had regularly smoked indoors, leaving all the soft furnishings reaking. Also another short-term tenant in the building decided to bring a couple of yappy dogs on holiday with them which nearly drove us mad. The upside - the team at Espresso couldn't have been more helpful. They did everything they could to improve the quality of our stay including sending a cleaner in on the weekend to try to neutralise the odour of smoke; installing hooks in the bathroom for hanging towels; replacing light globes and batteries in appliances; ultimately replacing the rug in the lounge (because of the immoveable odour in the previous one); replacing the vacuum; addressing the yappy dog problem; and supplying coffee pods on request. If it hadn't been for the Espresso team we would have shortened our stay. The courtyard is great; the bathroom a decent size with sufficient space for toiletries etc; bed is comfy but limited wardrobe space; and while the lounge/dining area is good, the lounge could be more comfortable. Overall, we would recommend this apartment for stays of less than 2 weeks and definitely for no more than 2 people.

We could not wish for a better apartment, we would rate it at 5stars. The staff was always very helpful, polite, very obliging. We would recommend it to anyone in the UK or anywhere (actually some of our ozie friends visited us and would recommend it to friends and family). Hope to come back to Melbourne and certainly to 6/30 Docker street.

Service was excellent, re: booking. information. Appartment set out well except bathroom, no towel rails, and the tap in the kitchen kept falling off. Need a car, we found we had to walk quite a distance to reach public transport. Beeing holiday period it was quite expensive.

Very convenient, clean tidy etc. Suited our purpose well.
Needs towell rails in bathroom, one of which could double as a hand rail for shower/bath. As well, tap over kitchen sink kept falling off! Just a couple of minor repairs reported in flyer left on kitchen table. Coffee machine easy to use and much appreciated.Response from Espresso Apartments - 09/06/2011
