The location is great and the accommodations were super. This unit is extremely close to the beach...out the door and just a short walk down the walkway and you are on the sand. We enjoyed the convenience of spending time on the beach and then being able to quickly walk back and forth to the unit for a snack, lunch, short break, etc. The ocean view from the porch is great as well; not obstructed by sand dunes like some of the rest at Pier Pointe. There is a queen sofa pullout in the living area, so this unit will comfortably sleep six, if you are interested in having a visitor or two come down for a night during your stay...or have more than four in your party. Anyway, great experience for my family of four; we would definitely use this unit again.

This cottage was very clean and was decorated so nicely.

This a beautiful property inside and out. The kitchen is well equipped and the home is beautifully decorated. In the winter, the sun beams on the front porch and it's so comfortable to sit outside and enjoy the fantastic view. Evenings were spent by the fireplace with our family. Huge jacuzzi tub in the master bath is terrific. We saw many dolphins playing close to shore everyday and the beach is great for shell collectors.

We have stayed in this complex many times. This unit was very nicely furnished and updated. However, upon arrival, the table on the deck was very dirty with food residue, etc. Also, there were peanut shells and popcorn pieces on the carpeting in the living area. When we called, a custodian came early the next morning and rectified the problem. Also, for whatever reason, the dishes, glassware and mugs had some sort of whitish film (from salt water?) and could not be removed. We purchased Styrofoam plates, bowls and plastic cups to use as we were not comfortable using the items in the cupboards.

I am sorry to hear that you arrived to an unclean condo, but I'm happy that we were able to quickly remedy this for you. As for the dishes, the buildup is from our water and can be removed/prevented by using a rinse agent, or even Tang drink mix, in the dishwasher along with your normal dish detergent.

Condo was very clean (with one exception) and well maintained. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortasble. The view of the ocean was great! The exception to the the cleanliness was the dishware which was encrusted with a hard water film, dishes need to be cleaned with CLR or Lime away or replaced, very un-appetizing...

The condo was nice overall, but we were disappointed over the Emerald Isle Realty welcome bag, which had little more than a map and an advertising pen. Perhaps a starter roll of paper towels/toilet paper/dish soap could've been thrown in for the price of the rental. Something that says, "Hi, we're glad you're here, and we're here to serve you."
Your free ice cream and early morning weekend checkout continental breakfast is a nice touch. Keep up the service to your customers and we will be glad to come back and maybe even recommend you to our friends!

You should have also received a Barefoot guide in this bag. The Barefoot guide has a lot of coupons to use in the area and includes a lot of useful information for vacationing families.
While some of our properties do supply a starter kit of toiletries, most do not. We do try to verbally express this to each guest when booking and we also include it in the Vacation Info Guide that accompanies your rental agreement so you know what to bring.

We enjoyed this clean, lovely, convenient ocean front location. Perfect for a family with 2 children. The convenience to the ocean was terrific. The interior is well-decorated with a beach theme. We highly recommend this unit. Hopefully we'll return next year.

We were pleased with this unit, although little things could have been better. It was great being oceanfront, but the proximity to the public access affected how crowded the beach became on Saturday. We probably would choose a different unit next time!

Our vacation was wonderful. We truly enjoyed being in beachfront property. The decor of our place was light and airy and okay. I liked the way the den area dropped down from the kitchen. I truly wish we could have heard the sounds of the waves and water or felt the breeze from the ocean in our bedrooms. If only we could have had windows that open. The beach was wonderful and seeing the dolphins swim each morning was a great thrill. Oh!watching the sunrise and sunset from the deck was spectacular and just heavenly,smile.
We intend to continue to make it a yearly event. -

When we arrived around 3:30, the cleaning people were still there. We understood that this might happen but, the unit was not cleaned very well. I don't thing the toilets were cleaned..thank God I brought my own Clorox cleaner because I had to do it. The bedrooms were not vacuumed at all. The beds were not made but the linens were there. The rest of the unit was vacuumed but still had stuff all over the floor. MY husband had to re vacuum. As for the linens, one of the twin sets did not fit the bed so we had to call for that. Also, we were suppose to get kitchen towels and bath mats and they were not in there. I had to call for that. We never got our little "goodie" bag of stuff. This unit has not one single large pot to cook in. It is poorly equiped. The master shower really needs some work...it has mold all around it..once again, I'm glad I had my clorox. The WiFi did not work. There were dishes left in the dishwasher that we had to put away. We love coming to Emerald Isle and have been staying at Pier Point for the past 10years. It just seems that it is not taken care of in the way it used to be and that is disappointing. We come down with a group of 30, each renting different units. May consider and new spot unless things don't change.

I will let you know that at the time of your stay, this condo didn't provide the bed making service but it does now so when you arrive to Pier Pointe 1 A 1, your beds will already be made for you.
As for the housekeeping issues you had, our housekeeping department does have until 6 p.m. to complete their work but we do release keys for check in as early as 3:30 p.m. as a courtesy so you can go ahead and begin unloading your car. I'm sorry you to hear of your disappointment with the cleanliness of the condo after housekeeping left. Please let us know of such disappointments and we'll gladly send someone out to clean more efficiently.

This is a beautiful unit - clean, neat and comfortable, with everything you need provided. We especially appreciate the linen service. The beds were extremely comfortable. We chose this unit because we have a child in a wheelchair and thought being the floor unit, the two stairs going in would not be hard to maneuver, which proved to be true. We checked it out earlier and knew the view, even though first floor, was great. However, we did not realize until we got there that the living room is sunken (2 steps), which made it a little difficult to maneuver. I only mention this of interest to someone in a wheelchair. Otherwise, this is just one of the best places we've ever stayed.

This rental condo on Emerald Isle was perfect for us and our three young sons ... makes us want to retire there someday! We feel that it would be a nice place to stay even during the winter months, because of the beautiful fireplace. The pool was convenient, and it was a VERY short walk to the sandy beach. Sitting in the dining area watching the surf crash down on the beach was something we loved. The furniture was well-kept and comfortable, and the whole unit was very clean. We would definitely stay in this unit again if we could -- we wouldn't even look to see what else was available.

We really love this condo property. The view is awesome & being able to just walk right down on the beach without crossing a hot parking lot or taking an elevator is wonderful. The location is perfect for us as we love to visit Beaufort, Morehead, and have friends in Swansboro - so it's not too far from everything we love! My only recommendation for this unit (or any condo unit) is to make sure you have a comfortable sleeper unit - the only negative we had. If economic conditions allow, we will definitely book again!

We have stayed at many places at Emerald Isle but this one particular place, was the best of all, I loved this vacation home. In fact it was the best vacation we ever had.
