We have been coming to Emerald Isle for the past 20 years and enjoy each and every year as if it was our first. I do want to mention a couple of things that I have noticed with the condo both this year and last. The back door does not lock, yes it has a bar that can be put down, but I feel the lock should also be in working order. In addition, the blinds/shades on the sliding glass doors are broken. I believe there are more slats broken than not, so if someone is sleeping in the living room on the sleep sofa, there is no privacy. These two issues should be taken care of as this is my 2nd year reporting the same issues. That said, it is a great condo and we will continue to rent there.
We enjoyed the unit at Pier Pointe 3B3 West, especially the views of the ocean and sound. Great amenities, very clean, well stocked - except for the silverware, which needs replacing. Internet service was sporadic and frequently dropped the connection.
Overall, the unit was very nice. The kitchen could have been stocked with more basic items. It was pretty barren considering the cost of this unit. The master bedroom lock did not work properly and the sliding glass door was very difficult to lock. The TV in the second room was very old and I don't think the remote worked properly. In general, the amenities were average to below average for the cost of this unit. Otherwise, we had a nice stay at this unit.
The condo was perfect for our family. The open floor plan, deck, and views of the ocean was absolutely fantastic. We love the Crystal Coast and had a great time.
The condo was lovely. There were several maintenance issues which I noted when we checked out. The kitchen could have used some better cookware and a better selection. I really enjoy staying at Pier Pointe but the stairs are getting to be killers, especially when unloading everything for a weeks stay. All in all, it is a very comfortable condo with great views of the ocean. We especially enjoyed the rockers on the deck.
Large, sunny condo with everything you could possibly want (TV, DVD, Washer/Dryer, jacuzzi tub). Walk down one staircase, you're at the ocean. Walk down the other, you're at the pool. We just went from pool / condo / ocean / condo / pool all day long. Heaven. And anything that we wished we'd brought (extra beach chairs, a kite, boogie boards) was in the closet. We even left a few goodies for the next renter to enjoy, like rafts. Linens and linen service was included. Wonderful rental.
This was our first time vacationing at Emerald Isle. This rental was very nice with all the accommodations needed. The ocean was absolutely fabulous with the emerald color and uncrowded beaches. We had a nice view from the 3rd floor. A definite family vacation spot. The only draw back with this unit was part of the bathroom needed updated or repaired. Basically the tub. We enjoyed our visit and plan to make a return trip at some point in the not too distant future.

This unit was the perfect size and at a great price. It is located on a narrow part of the island so you can see the sound from the back and you are right on the ocean from the front deck. The beaches are clean and well kept and Emerald Isle is a great place to vaction. Enough to keep kids of any age occupied without sensory overload.
I will probably rent at Pier Pointe again this year during spring break.
