FEATURES: Oceanfront and oceanside condominium complex. Offering 2 bedrooms, 2 baths with oceanfront, oceanside and ocean view units. Swimming pool, tennis courts, recreation area, park grills, outside showers. All units have in-room jacuzzi and wireless high speed Internet access. Two parking spaces per unit. Buildings 1, 3 and 5 are front peg lots, closer to the ocean. Buildings 2 and 4 are back oceanfront “peg” lots. Buildings 6, 7 and 8 are second row. No pets.

This year we enjoyed our stay in Unit 6 a-3. The new furnishings were a nice surprise as the past few years prior it was getting worn and uncomfortable. New fixtures through out were a plus as well. The new mattress in the master bedroom was nice too much more comfortable.we were happy to see deck furniture too.The unit was very clean. We were hesitant in renting this unit again as we had not been 100% pleased with it last year. We are glad we did come back to it. Thanks!

I was a little apprehensive about staying here after reading some of the reviews. I as afraid it was going to be like staying in my old college apartment. I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised.
We have been staying in rental properties here and at Myrtle Beach for years. Most all of them have a moldy, musty smell. This place did not. It was immaculately clean and the only thing I could smell was bleach in the bathroom the first day. It is the third floor and there are no elevators so I would not recommend this place for my aunt with the bad knee.
There is only one bathtub. It is an awesome bathtub though. It is so big that when I put my kids in it to give them baths I had to wade in it too to be able to wash their hair.
My daughters had no problem with the beds. The queen bed in the master suite is extra firm. I loved it, my husband hated it.
The views are extraordinary. I could see the ocean and the sound both from the dining room table. You can see the ocean from the back porch and the sound from the front porch.

Our family began visiting Emerald Isle more than 20 years ago. Due to some family circumstances, we hadn't vacationed there for several years. Our adult children returned with us this summer for a lovely week at the beach. It is so relaxing to be there! We played putt-putt, ate crab, lazed on the beach, went to the acquarium, saw a movie, went fishing, collected shells, and just enjoyed the experience. We feel so lucky to be able so spend time on Emerald Isle!

We have been renters of this unit for several years. We were please to finally see chairs on the deck (which has a wonderful ocean view)In the past it lacked comfortable chairs and it has been a "complaint"in our reviews. The living room furniture is wearing and dirty looking and very uncomfortable. The mattresses in both bedrooms could use some new mattress covers. And it was not cleaned well. Alot of dust in the master bedroom on TV(very thick with dust)Each year we come back because of the location of the unit and its nice deck views and the fact it is a Saturday unit and one of the few units with twin beds in 2nd bedroom.

We love Emerald Isle so any place is great. However, the mattresses in this unit need to be upgraded. To close to public beach access for us but great view of ocean for second row.

We have been staying at 6-A-3 for several years now - I always have the same complaint -which I have been told has been noteded - The deck furniture is not comfortable and broken- for several years now - can not enjoy the nice view at all (unless you stand on deck) anyway the rest is fine -
We like Pier Pointe and the condo location and the comfort inside unit, that is why we contine to rent it -always hoping unit owner will replace or add to the deck furniture. Nothing has changed.Response from Emerald Isle Realty, Inc - 08/06/2010

I was impressed by the friendly and excellent service of your office. There was only one problem. The condo itself was dirty - your inspector and I suspected that the owner had visited and neglected to let you know. There was lots of dirt on the floor and the toilets were dirty. However, you all were nice enough to let us check in earlier than 4 pm, and you were willing to clean the condo after I spoke with the inspector on the phone (she called when we got there as it had not been inspected yet). We opted not to have you clean it - I had already cleaned the toilets, and we have two small boys and we were just going to get it dirty again:) Overall, it was a nice condo with a perfect location (close to friends renting a cottage down the road). Your rental specialist helped us find it after we gave them the address of our friends' cottage. We loved the pool!

The place was great and had a lot of space with 2 full bathrooms. Our only issue was one of the bathrooms did not look like it was very clean--especially the spa/jet tub. It was next to the public beach access but it was still very quiet. I would recommend this property (our room was on the 3rd floor so I hope you like stairs) but choose the location carefully.

I am sorry to hear of your disappointment in the cleanliness of the master bathroom. It is true there are several steps to undergo to reach the third level of the Pier Pointe and West condos but the views from that top floor are unmatched.

This condo was a great place to stay - especially since we were only there for the weekend. The only thing we would've done differently is requested a lower level condo (we were on the top floor) and perhaps oceanfront. Otherwise, the beach access was easy and we had a wonderful weekend!
