This unit is in a great location and we loved being there. The unit does need updating and when we got there the housekeepers had done a terrible job at cleaning. If I were the owner of this unit I would have been very upset. It appeared to have not been vacummed or floors scrubbed at all.

This is the girls week at the beach. We have as many as 6 girls or as little as my best friend and me. This year it was just the 2 of us.
Our check ins are always quick and easy. The staff at EIR are the best.
Our rental unit (which we have used for the last 4 years)keeps getting better every year. Last year they upgraded the kitchen to stainless steel appliances. This year fresh paint job. The maintenance department is friendly and very fast in solving any problems.

Only good things to say about EI Realty. Very smooth transaction.
Very pleased with the unit as well. Views were amazing; beds comfortable; furniture comfortable and kitchen very well equipped. This was our first time staying at Ocean Reef and enjoyed it so much we booked the same unit for next summer! everything was great at the condo. it was very clean, beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked and all appliances/electronics worked. fantastic week was had by all.

We felt we had the "perfect" spot. Right on the beach with the pool just behind us. We loved our week. Only suggestion would be to upgrade the furniture it was worn and uncomfortable. Luckily, we spent most of our time here on the beach or in the pool. Emerald Realty does a fantastic job of making your vacation effortless. They were so helpful from selecting the right condo to Pat at the Pool with her suggestions on where to go for dinner. Wonderful team!!

We stayed in Ocean Reef 5B2. The kitchen and living rooms are very nice. The shower in the master bathroom, however, is very worn with considerable black mildew-looking build-up. The beach was almost non-existant outside 5B2 building. There is about a 10 foot area of beach, then a 3 foot drop off and the ocean comes in right up to the drop off. Three different times during our stay we were reminded that we were sitting in the fire lane, but they didn't know where to tell us to go since "we had no beach."

This property was very nice. The kids loved the big screen TV. The views were wonderful. We all enjoyed our vacation. The second day the breaker went for the air conditioning and I called Emerald Isle Reality and they had someone out there in a few hours and it was a Sunday. The dishwasher did not work. Took a couple of days for someone to come to fix that and they had to order parts so we did dishes by hand. The staff at Emerald Isle Reality were very nice and friendly. Not much to do directly there. Have to drive a little ways for activities but not bad at all. We have a family members graduation next year and we will definately be renting this unit again! It is absolutely the best for the price!

This is a yearly vacation for myself and girlfriends. The condo was perfect. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was the best we have ever had. Upgraded appliances and well stock with dishes, pots and pans, ETC. Just steps away from the beach. Flat screen TV in living room was great

We received only 1 parking pass & 3 pool passes. We have never gotten less than the 2 & 6 expected and were humiliated by the Ocean Reef security at no fault of ours. We were never asked if that would be enough passes for our stay. When called EIR was told that it was a busy weekend and they "ran out" of passes, but I could come get more! On our vacation, I was expected to drive miles on my time??? Plus, it was too late to save my grandchildren from being kicked out of the pool, my children from being "warned" about parking!!

This condo was very nice and the beds were comfortable which is important to us. We have stayed at other condo's in Ocean Reef and this one messured up as well. Nicely decorated, kitchen is complete with almost everything you would need. We brought our own electric griddle to make pancakes on. The house keeping was weak and the place was sandy, but we fixed that ourselves. House keeping never returned our calls, oh well. The only problem we really had was that it only rents weekly and we wanted to stay from Saturday to a Sunday. We were able to do that, but we did not get the message until friday evening. That was Emeral Isle Realty problem. They had to contact the owners and I had to keep calling them to find out if we could stay. Windows are nailed shut so you can not open them to listen to the ocean. I am not sure if the fireplace is usable. TV is small.
ONe of the eyes on the stove was broken, no big deal really. Great bathrooms!! The view from the deck is always great from the top of any of these condos.Response from Emerald Isle Realty, Inc - 01/26/2012

We had such a great time while staying at Ocean Reef. The condo was very close to the pool and just steps away from the beach. The view from our deck was absolutely spectacular. The condo itself is a little outdated and the kitchen and bathrooms could use a little TLC but it really was a non issue once we saw how close we were to the ocean.
Emerald Isle Realty was great to rent through. They were very helpful and check in and check out were fast and hassle free.
We will be back next summer! -

The condo was the perfect size for 4 people. It was clean and had everything we needed. This unit was oceanfront and the stairs off the deck made it very easy to get to the beach. The pool was right out the front door, which was also very convenient. The pool and grounds were well taken care of. My only complaint was that for the 3 tv's, none of the remotes worked. Emerald Isle was a great beach, clear water, clean sand, and not crowded.

Our overall experience was good and we liked the unit but it really wasn't as clean as it should be when we arrived and the decor could use some improvement. We have stayed at other units at Ocean Reef that have been better.

This condo was a very nice place to stay. It was a no frills condo with all the neccessities required for a very nice vacation. It was about 20 steps to the beach from the back door, so what more do you want? The full time neighbors were great and didnt make you feel like you were "intruding" on their turf, very nice people. The pool and shuffle board were a nice change of pace when you got tired of the ocean, but that wasn't used all that much. Gated community was nice, but not really required in my opinion, but to each their own!

The Condo was nice, but the pots and pans were so badly used we had to take them back to Emerald Island Realty and they replaced them. The cleaning group did not do a good cleaning job, because of food and items left under the edge of the couch. This was a big hazard, because we had a 2 year old staying with us. The blinds were missing some slates, but the realty company replaced them. The HOH were rude, by leaving us a letter about the sea turtles on our car. We will not rent the place again, but will continue to rent from Emerald Island Realty. You receive great service from the realty company and the staff are helpful and friendly.

On the issue of the turtles, we do take the endangered loggerheads very seriously, and there are local laws to enforce the rules. If you received an urgent letter from the Homeowners association regarding the "Lights out on the Beach" policy, which helps this threatened species procreate, it's only because not helping us remember the rules may result in fines for the HOA. If you contact me at the above email, I'd love to discuss the letter with you and provide some "customer-friendly" variations for the HOA. -

First time my husband and I visited with our daughters and their families. Simply enjoyed the whole week. Ate breakfast in the dinette and watched the shrimp boats coming in! The pool was superb. We will want to return to this condo complex again--alone, together.
