FEATURES:Oceanfront and oceanside condominiums. Swimming pool, tennis courts, recreation area with volleyball net and park grills, outside showers. All properties have in-room jacuzzis and wireless high speed Internet access. Two parking spaces per unit. Buildings 2 and 4 are oceanfront peg lots, closer to the ocean. Buildings 1, 3 and 5 are back peg oceanfront lots. Building 7 is second row and building 6 is semi-oceanfront with an unobstructed view. No pets.

The condo was clean and the kitchen well stocked with glasses, dishes and cooking items. Our only issue was the refrigerator door did not close well without being slammed (not a big deal). The condo was convenient to the beach and we would definitely stay here again.

The unit was very nice and very clean. We loved just walking out the door onto the walkway to the beach, and that we didn't have to carry luggage and beach chairs upstairs. Missed actually seeing the ocean from our porch though since we were on the first floor - but it still was a pretty view.
The negative was we could hear the footsteps in our bedrooms from the unit above us..and they were extremely loud at times - tho we couldn't hear any voices.Response from Emerald Isle Realty, Inc - 06/22/2012

I am sorry to hear that your serenity was disturbed by some heavy footed neighbors. We liked this condo a lot! It was nicely furnished and very convenient. The kitchen was pretty well equipped, but missing a few standard (and easily replaced) items such as spatulas. My only complaint was with Emerald Isle Realty. We accidentally left some pillows in the house and it took several weeks of phone calls without proper follow-up before they finally looked for the items we left behind. By that time, they were unable to be located.

We really enjoyed this unit. It was clean with a decently stocked kitchen. I wasn't trying to do too much cooking otherwise I might get confused for being at home. The decor was really nice - we loved the beachy feel of the entire condo. The furnishings were very comfortable, as well. The only bummer was that since it is on the first of three floors, the view was marred by the sand dune. However, we didn't have to truck sand toys & children any higher than the first floor. Regardless of the lack of view, the back porch was still great for sitting in the rockers with wine and catching the sea breeze. The other nice thing was that the pool was so close. The kids really enjoyed that.
As to Emerald Isle - this was our first visit and we were super pleased. It's very quiet and low key - much more so than the OBX. And yet, there were plenty of things to do with the kids. The best thing was we found the surf so much more gentle than we expected. When it looked white cappy (esp. as compared to our OBX experiences), the waves were a lot softer with none of the tugging and pulling that you get even on gentle days up north. It really allowed for me to relax a lot more when the kids were in the water. And, we were informed by frequent visitors that the surf was rough the week we visited. "Really??!!"
We can't wait to return and will definitely look to stay in this same unit. -
