  Rented 2 condos and this was the nicer of the two. Unit was well equipped and well taken care of. Have stayed in this complex before and really enjoy it.

  Comfortable beds, comfortable living room with great tv. Kitchen lacked sufficient cookware and dishes. By the middle of the week we did call and ask for replacement of the dishes. A very nice young gal promptly delivered some new ones. Dining room table had only 4 chairs, remaining adults had to eat at bar in kitchen. The rental agency said this condo was for 6 people. We did not understand why because there were 3 bedrooms (2 persons each) and a double sleep sofa. Our linen supply contained enough for the beds, plus the sleep sofa.

  Properties in Emerald Isle are on septic tanks rather than a central sewage system. Each septic tank is permitted by the health department who assumes there to be two people per bedroom. Therefore, a three bedroom property will sleep up to six which means six people can regularly use the restrooms without posing an issue to the septic system which is in place. Many owners do provide sleeper sofas too accommodate guests in the event that additional bedding is needed because party members don't wish to share a bed.

  Quick weekend getaway

  Our room's door lock is broken and we were locked in our room late at night. Our phones did not have reception so we couldn't call for help. We were on the first floor so my husband had to jump out of the balcony to go back into our condo. Luckily, we were able to open the bedroom door back up with a card.

  Great location

  This home is in a great location on the island. It is easy to get to
  and you don't have to fight all of the summer traffic to get to and
  from the grocery store.
  
  The bedrooms were the perfect size and fit all 6 of us comfortably.
  We were very close to both the beach access and the 2 pools. The
  furnishings were comfortable and there were video games for the
  older kids to play while the younger ones took naps.
  
  Unfortunately the entire place was infested with ants during our
  stay. The rental paper work simply stated that ants were a fact of
  island life and to go buy some ant killer yourself and they would
  reimburse you. I admit I was too lazy to wait around for the
  reimbursement. After 2 days of spraying and killing ants I was
  much happier with the home.
  
  There was a mix-up with our linens as well. Somehow the linen
  service was not notified of our rental and did not deliver the linens
  until we called them and told them (around 8pm).
  
  While we loved the location, the beach and the pools we were not
  happy about the ants and would probably not rent this particular
  unit again.

  I am sorry to hear of your experience with ants. It is true, our area is prone to such pests due to our dense vegetation and humid climate. Our properties are exterminated regularly to keep such pests at bay, but from time to time an additional treatment is needed. We're happy to provide guests with spray such as you bought, but due to our work load it is often faster to get the spray and bring us the receipt.
