This was my first vacation in seven years with just me and my husband. The weather was beautiful and the house was very clean. The only thing that I can say is the bed was uncomfortable to sleep on and it was hard to watch TV in the room because the TV is level with the bed. It was extremely private and there are many things to do in the area that are close to the home. The wood floors looked brand new and the furniture was adorable. I would definatley stay in this home again. It was an excellent price for the off season. Since it was the off season it was like our own private beach! Loved it! Also the staff was very very nice at Emerald Island Realty and we got to check in early because our house was ready :)

The easiest check in I've ever experienced. Loved the drive-thru check-in. The young lady who waited on us was very friendly. Got to our rental, checked the bathrooms they were dirty. Very disappointed however by the time I got to the kitchen the housekeeping team was at the door. They were there to clean. They did a great job, not five minutes after they left the inspectors were at the door to make sure the house was clean. Very impressive. The house was very nice, clean and comfortable, but the best thing about it, Oceanfront!! To walk out the front door in the morning and there's the ocean, well what can be better than that!! No dunes to climb. Yay! My family loved the enclosed outdoor shower none of us showered inside. My only complaint: taller more comfortable chairs for the deck. We sat on top of the picnic table to be able to see the ocean. Also Tv's in all the bedrooms was great. One last thing, on Wed and Thurs I could not tear myself away from the ocean I felt like I was in the tropics the water was so beautiful. I have already booked the house for next summer. See you there!!!

We haven't ever taken a vacation with our two boys-four years old and a 14-month old. We were nervous about booking a beach house despite having been to Emerald Isle countless times with our parents before. This time, it was just for us. We wanted it to be special. For months we looked forward to this trip and I have to say, Buena Vista exceeded our expectations. Even if the weather had kept us in all week long, we'd have been happy. But the weather turned out great. The house was clean, had a beautiful view of the beach, a wide deck, and was well-appointed with everything we needed. We will definitely be scheduling a return trip next year for the same week. What a wonderful place to stay.

We rented the beach house to enjoy some time with our Marine before he headed out on his 3rd deployment. The house was nice, clean, well equiped. The kitchen had a good variety of dishes, pots and pans, etc. The coffee maker does need to be replaced it takes forever to brew a pot and gets clogged up and such. When we checked in we were not told of the ice cream chest, read about it in the book but missed out on getting some.one thing to note when sitting on the deck in the chairs is that you cannot see the ocean. the rails ar ein the way so that took a little away from it. but overall we loved it.

I have alerted our housekeeping department about the coffee maker so this will be remedied. I'm sorry you weren't directed to the ice cream cooler while checking in. We do have the cooler located in our check in area so guests can help themselves while waiting to be checked in or out. Again, I'm very sorry that you missed out on that.

This was our first time renting Buena Vista. When we got to the house it was raining and the keys we were given did not unlock the dead bolt which meant another trip back to the rental office. Other than that our check-in and check-out were fine. The house was great. The beds were very comfortable and the living room furniture was also very comfortable. Our only complaint was that the bathroom windows needed shades !! Our view of the the ocean was fantastic. We did bring our own rocking chairs because the adirondack chairs on the porch were too low to see the ocean !! We did carry the adirondack chairs to the beach and they were great. All in all a wonderful week and we would definitely rent this house again.

Buena Vista was a great place to spend the week. Comfortable and compact, the cottage was well-equipped, spacious, and offered wonderful views of the ocean. We would definitely book it again.

What a great house. Inside was so nice and open feeling. Lots of windows and high ceilings made it seem huge. Fantastic view of the ocean inside and out. Loved the covered porch gave the little ones a break from the sun if and when we could get them off of the beach.

What can I say we rushed to get down there, and as soon as we picked up our keys we were on the ocean. We took our two year old daughter and it was the first time she had seen the ocean, and it was just right for her. The waves weren't too big but big enough for her to have fun. We had wonderful friends and family who came down with us and it was just absolutely wonderful. I used to go every year with my family until my grandfather passed away and it was time to get back. This is going to be a family tradition for a long time to come.
While we were down there we did get married with our feet in the sand and water washing up on the sore at high tide. We found a local reverend who performed the ceremony so now we are legal. There is no other way I would have wanted to do it.

The cottage had just been remodeled with new colorful furniture in the main living area. It was bright and airy with high ceilings and lots of windows. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessities. We enjoyed having the free internet available for the laptop! We had beautiful weather and the ladies at E.I Realty were great! We are already planning another trip in the early fall!

We loved staying in this home. It had a great feel, with everything we needed to feel comfortable. Loved hearing the sound of the ocean from the bedroom. We had a small problem with the right sized linens, but it was taken care of after a few days. The home has 2 king sized beds which was great.

The back storm door was broken, no latch and would not stay closed. Two of the chairs on porch had broken backs. The showers were either really hot or really cold.

My family thoroughly enjoyed staying in this ocean front home. Great location for ocean kayaking and fishing. As always Emerald Isle Realty does an excellent job with housekeeping and maintenance. What really impressed me was the helpful staff. On our last day at the vacation home my wife had a medical emergency and the staff allowed us extra time to pack up and leave. We've been vacationing at Emerald Isle for the last 25 years, I have no doubt that we will be back for another 25.
The only improvement that I could suggest would be free wireless internet.
