Reservation process was excellent, with totally courteous staff. Check-in followed this same theme. The house was priced well within our budget to meet the needs for the family that did travel with us. The view was beautiful, location of the house was excellent. These were the best reasons. The only negative was found was no TV down stairs in the main living area. Other than thank everything was excellent.

We had great weather, good company and a very nice cottage...made for a great vacation. I also want to add that your office staff and maintenance crew should be commended. They were welcoming, friendly and very cooperative. Hope to see you again next year.

The house was great. My only disappointment was that the "Ocean View "was blocked by overgrown trees/bushes. My dad couldn't go to the beach much, so this was very dissapointing, plus considering how much we paid for a an Ocean front home.

The vegetation which hindered the view from the lower deck of Palmetto Cottage has been trimmed so the view has been opened up and is panoramic! Please check back soon for updated pictures. Thank you for your review. Palmetto Cottage boasts wonderful Ocean views from its upper deck but the view from the lower deck is limited due to the vegetation on and around the dune. When booking your next vacation, let us know your expectations for the view and we'll be happy to find a home which will meet your preference.

We really had a nice time at the Palmetto. It was well furnished, plenty of rooms and pleanty of bathrooms. It was nice not to worry about packing the linens. We had seven adults and two toddlers...all had a good time. The week just flew by...thus the title "Time Flies When You Are Having Fun! Signed up for the cottage again next year...thanks. Our family has been renting homes through Emerald Isle Realty for the past 10 years; sometimes twice a year. We have always been very happy. In the unlikely event that "issues" crop up, a phone call or e-mail brings a quick response. The staff is always helpful and very friendly.
Palmetto Cottage was a great house. At any given time during the week, we had from 10-14 people staying there. The lay-out makes it a perfect house; with two living areas, nice porches, and lots of space - it was wonderful. Our children range in age from 28 to 1 and they all had a great week and wished we could have stayed longer. The trek to the beach was a bit longer than some homes, but really wasn't that bad. The beach itself was loads of fun; the tidal pool made water play perfect for the kids. Each night, our whole group walked to the "point" to watch the sunset - it was a week of wonderful memories.
We will definitely come back to Emerald Isle and Emerald Isle Realty next year - in fact we're already making plans. In addition, we would definitely look into renting Palmetto Cottage again. -

I am so glad you got in touch. We LOVED our vacation on your beautiful Island. Totally fell in love. The house was perfect. Plenty room to spread out and the beach was just awsome. My Dad who is 88 walked the deck out to the ocean like 10 times a day. More excersise then he ever gets. The Rocking chairs were wonderful. We spent every evening rocking and just talking. (My son visited he is a Marine and it was Wonderful to spend time.) We all loved the rockers.(Must get some for our deck) Every restuarant we ate at was perfect. Carltons is my favorite. And Emerald Isle Realty was a true pleasure to work with. You all were wonderful. Thank you for the great stay and we plan on a trip again next year and will be staying at Palmetto Cottage again. This was the best vacation EVER!!!! We took our entire family (12 of us) and it was fantastic. We loved the home-----felt so warm and cozy-----I would highly recommend this rental to everyone. The access to the beach was perfect--the view was incredible and we just had the perfect vacation thanks to you.
We go to the Carolina's every year a beach and of all the locations and hospitality, this was the best of many years traveling to the beaches of the Carolina's.
Keep up the good work and we sincerely appreciate it.
